Chapter 259 - Frozen Layer Of The Underworld
Chapter 259 - Frozen Layer Of The Underworld
Netherfrost Blizzard Realm, Blue Wyvern City
A female subordinate in smart formal wear could be seen walking with hurried footsteps in the corridor before stopping in front of the city lord's office and knocked on the door.
After being granted permission, the female subordinate quickly entered the office before City Lord Baschmi glanced back.
"Have you found out what the tremor was?" City Lord Baschmi inquired before the female subordinate could speak.
"Yes, my Lord!" the female subordinate quickly answered for explaining further, "We have detected a large amount of geographic movement and spatial interference in the north. We believe that it is like due to…"
"Spatial interference?" City Lord Baschmi muttered before the female subordinate could finish explaining before he raised an eyebrow and asked, "You don't mean…?
"Yes, my Lord. It's the same situation when Blue Wyvern City was transported. Evidently, something else has also been transported to Netherfrost Blizzard Realm on a large scale," the female subordinate informed.
"Transported on a large scale, huh?" City Lord Baschmi repeated thoughtfully before he muttered, "It would be great if it was a Pill City from our Azure Dragon Star Realm."
"Should I send people to check out the site of the affected region, my Lord?" the female inquired.
"No need," City Lord Baschmi waved his hand nonchalantly and said, "We already have several scout teams exploring out there. A few of them are bound to be attracted to the commotion."
"We just need to wait for them to send the information back to us."
"I see…"

Meanwhile, a few people of mixed descents arrived at the edge of the newly formed rift in thick winter clothing to investigate the huge tremors.
At the same time, the collapsed region did not form a steep drop at the edges but a gradual slope leading downwards, making it appear like a crater instead of a hole.
"What do you think happened here? What caused this geographic collapse?" a male elf with blonde asked.
"Don't know, but we will find out once we head deeper in to investigate," the leader, a dog-man, said with a serious look before adding, "Nevertheless, it seems like another transported piece of land."
"Ahh—!"
A male human suddenly cried with alarm after getting his ankle grabbed before he gazed down on a blue hand sticking out of the ground, causing his eyes to widen immediately.
"Where the hell did this hand come from?!"
"Be careful! There's more of them!"
The blonde elvish man quickly warned after noticing several dozens of more arms sticking out of the ground as if their very presence spawned them.
"Dammit! This hand is so sturdy! Help me shake it off!" the male human requested help after failing to free himself from the blue hand's grasp.
"A Mid-stage Innate Realm Cultivator like you can't shake off this blue thingy? They are stronger than they look!" the dog-man commented with surprise as he drew his sword and hacked the blue hand directly.
"At least, sharp weapons are still effective against them."
"Grrr—roar!!"
The Frost Demons eventually climbed out of the ground, revealing their entire appearances to the scout team before they roared loudly and shocked everyone present.
"What the hell! These things look like Frost Demons, but at the same time, not like any normal Frost Demons I've seen before!" the blonde elvish man exclaimed.
Within moments, the scout team was forced to engage the Frost Demons in battle before the dog-man shouted, "We've been surrounded! Quickly cover each other's flanks!"
"Damn! What kind of Frost Demons are these?!" a male human cried in shock after slashing off a Frost Demon's arm without it budging or growling painfully.
"These Frost Demons don't feel any pain! It's like we are fighting undead beings!" the blonde elvish man stated before warning the team, "We need to break out of the encirclement before they swarm us!"

Albion leaned against a newly erected throne made of ice at the rift's central region while having a Frost Demon locked in place with Emypyrean's Decree as he studied it casually.
Ding!
<You have killed a Lv.9 Frost Demon (Elite-class)>
<You have gained 1820 EXP>
<You have leveled up!>
<You have leveled up!>

…
At that moment, Fenriri ripped apart a Frost Demon into three pieces with her enlarged ice claws before she received another string of notifications from the system after killing her fifth Frost Demon.
After reaching Lv.15 Hunter, Fenriri turned her head back and cried, "Master, these Frost Demons don't feel any pain!"
"What, really?"
Albion was surprised before he shot to feet and released the Frost Demon in front of him from its binding.
Ding!
Following a sudden kick to the groin, the Frost Demon did not exhibit any feeling of pain but growled angrily before attacking Albion back with a claw attack instead.
But contrary to Fenriri's expectation, Albion did not dodge but received the blow head-on without budging either.
"No, no, I feel no pain," Albion said to the Frost Demon that was doing its best to claw Albion to death with its sharp nails.
However, the only thing shredded was Albion's black t-shirt.
Bang, bang…
"Grrr—!" the Frost Demon growled.
"No, no, no. I feel no pain!" Albion responded as if they were truly communicating.
Fenriri watched the two exchange blows with a speechless while she fended for herself against the other Frost Demons' attacks.
"What are you doing, Master! This isn't a competition!" Fenriri shouted, not knowing whether to laugh or cry at her master's antics.
"Ahh, you're right!" Albion softly exclaimed before slapping the Frost Demon's head into oblivion.
+1520 EXP
"Haiz, I was feeling a bit nostalgic," Albion shook his head with a sigh wryly before glancing over to Fenriri's side calmly and asked, "How are you faring, Fenriri?
"I can take care of them one by one. However, they are relentless, Master! Please help!" Fenriri pleaded before Albion waved his hand and blew away all the Frost Demons.
Fenriri took the chance to return to Albion's side before she said with surprise, "These Frost Demons are so strange, Master!"
"Of course they are," Albion casually said before stating, "These Frost Demons come from the frozen layer of the underworld."
