Chapter 291 - A Problem In The Royal Family
Chapter 291 - A Problem In The Royal Family
Elvaraden, home of the elves.
Here, there was a towering World Tree threatens to pierce the sky, a plethora of colorful plants and flowers decorated along with numerous elven housings at the foot of it, and spots of green lights floated around everywhere like little fairies.
The breathtaking view of the otherworldly elf tribe was not something people could enjoy and admire unless they stepped within its proximity, where the absence of trees leaves their sight unobstructed.
When the young elf princess guided Albion and Fenriri into the tribe, they felt the tribe was more beautiful than any city they had ever seen.
This includes Albion, someone who has access to the Dark Emperor's two lifetimes of memories.
Even during the Dark Emperor's reign as the Ashura Emperor of the Divine Ashura Heaven, there was not a single city in that place that could be compared to the elf tribe. Not even the imperial city ruled by the Ashura Emperor.
Unlike the other eight Divine Heavens, the Divine Ashura Heaven was well-known for holding the record of the highest frequency of conflicts across its lands.
.It was a place made for war.
Any and anywhere could become a battlefield, regardless of whether it is a battle between individuals, groups, or countries.
As such, even if the Divine Ashura Heaven had skilled craftsmen to build beautiful cities, they would be brought to ruins by the denizens' conflicts.
"Once again, welcome to Elvaraden, Sir Albion."
Princess Cylia introduced local specialties to Albion and Fenriri as she guided them into the tribe with her escorts.
At the same time, groups of young elves quickly flocked to Albion's side with feverish gazes—only to be turned away by the young elf princess.
"Master is so popular with little girls," Fenriri commented, causing Albion to smile wryly in response.
Without surprises, the flock of young elves had all been underaged ladies seeking to become Albion's partner, much like the young princess earlier.
'This isn't the city of elves. It's the city of baits and traps. I can only admire their looks and not touch them. Why must they have grown-up appearances despite such young ages?' Albion shook his head and lamented silently.
"Apologies for the inconvenience my people have caused you, Sir Albion. It's the first time we've ever come across a heavenly-blessed person like you. Their enthusiasm is understandable," Princess Cylia spoke with a slight blush.
After all, she was one of them.
"I don't mind it." Albion waved his hand nonchalantly and replied, " I mean, who can I blame for being born this way?"
"…"
Fenriri was speechless.
As the one who had seen her master's appearance-changing skill, she knew that her master was definitely not born with such perfect looks.
Nevertheless, she wisely chose to keep her silence.
"Princess, are you sure it's okay for you to spend your time like this? The Fourth Princess did tell you to stay outside the city to gather herbs today…" One of the two female escorts suddenly mentioned to Cylia.
Princess Cylia quickly recalled the task assigned by her older brother before she remembered that there was such a matter.
"Err… It's fine, it's fine… Although I am not sure why my brother wants to keep me outside the city today, it's not like he will know if I—Ah!"
As Cylia faced her female bodyguards while walking in the lead, she suddenly bumped into a person's sturdy chest.
"Not like I will know if you, what?"
The familiar voice immediately made Cylia jump in fright before turning her head forward to look, and lo and behold, her older brother, the Fourth Prince, was standing there in front of her.
"B-big brother!" Cylia exclaimed before quickly asking him, "What are you doing here?!"
"I should be asking you that! I told you to play outside the city today. So why aren't you listening to me? Don't you know that things have become strange in the palace since that vixen arrived? It's not safe…" The Fourth Prince frowned before suddenly shifting his gaze to Albion.
At the same time, Albion stared back and silently studied the person.
Apart from the adam's apple and being built slightly muscular, the person did not look much different from Princess Cylia and could be mistaken for her twin.
Despite that, the Fourth Prince was already 30 years old, a whopping 17 years older than the Fourth Prince's little sister.
"You…" the Fourth Prince uttered and said to Albion, "Do you want to be my lover?"
"I'm a guy…" Albion's lips twitched.
"I don't mind."
"…"
The Fourth Prince's forward response left Albion frozen in shock with chills and goosebumps. His appearance had completely captured the person's attention.
"No! Sir Albion is mine!"
Princess Cylia held Albion's arm and stood between them while giving her older brother a defiant look, snapping the person out of Albion's charm.
"Oh? Is that so?" the Fourth Prince glanced at his little sister with a smile before saying to Albion, "So you are Sir Albion. I would love to talk more, but unfortunately, it will have to be another time. Please excuse me as I take my little sister away."
With that said, the Fourth Prince dragged Princess Cylia away.
Shortly after, the bodyguards followed the two royal members before Albion and Fenriri were left alone without a guide in the elven city.
Caw… Caw…
There was an odd silence as Albion and Fenriri watched the group disappear into the forest beyond the elven city of Elvaraden.
"Well, there goes our guide…" Albion muttered before shaking his head and said, "Never mind. Having a princess for a guide was too conspicuous what we want to do anyway."
"What do we want to do, Master?" Fenriri asked.
"That… is a good question, Riri." Albion rubbed his chin and said thoughtfully, "It seems like something is going on with the royal elf family. Since we were going to gather information on this city anyway, let us head to a nearby bar, shall we?"
"Yes!"
After receiving Fenriri's reply, Albion hid his face with a cloak from the Ashura Ring before taking her into a narrow alleyway and disappearing from the onlookers' line of sight—just as they were thinking of approaching Albion next.
