Chapter 309 - Failed Recruitment
Chapter 309 - Failed Recruitment
After using Blood Enslavement on Empress Una, Albion swept a glance at the other subordinates under the empress.
The men retreated a step in fear under Albion's pressuring gaze.
"Now, how should I deal with the rest of you?" Albion wondered with a frown.
Each time Blood Enslavement is used to create a Blood Slave, a portion of his will is divided to monitor the said Blood Slave.
It was not a technique that could be used limitless with a weak soul.
Given his present soul strength, he could handle several Blood Slaves at once, but he had to save to slots for the other two emperors.
"P-please spare us, Boss Asura!" a subordinate suddenly dropped on his knees and pleaded, "I wish to work under you once more, Big Boss! So please grant this subordinate's wish!"
After the first person pleaded, more people followed.
However, not all of the empress's subordinates had such weak wills as they firmly stood their ground and glared at the subordinate kneeling on the ground.
"Where is your dignity?! Do you really think the Big Boss will accept you if you do that? If our fate is to die, we should die honorably!"
"I don't want to die! I haven't lived long enough!" the subordinate cried.
Empress Una wore an unpleasant expression seeing such grown men pathetically pleading for their lives when faced with the threat of death.
Nevertheless, she couldn't let them all die.
Even if they weren't part of the core management, it would still hurt her if she lost so many subordinates at once.
"Didn't you say you need whetstones to raise strong subordinates? It wasn't just all talk, was it? Why not use that so-called Blood Enslavement on them as well?" Empress Una spoke.
Although becoming a Blood Slave is unpleasant, it is still better than dying on the spot.
Nevertheless, Albion frowned before he coldly stated, "They're not worthy!"
He only needed to control the head. There was no need to care too much about the underlings beneath.
Even so, it did not change the fact that his new subordinates lacked the strength to compete with Empress Una's subordinates.
He had to weaken their growth to give his subordinates a chance to catch up to them.
"Oh?" Albion exclaimed.
Shortly after glancing at the cargos and choppers, he found something interesting inside the shipping containers and proceeded to unload them from the choppers.
After placing all the shipping containers in one spot, Albion glanced back and said, "I won't be killing anyone, but I will be taking these containers as payment for sparing your lives. Any complaints?"
"…None." Empress Una answered.
"Good." Albion nodded before he suddenly said, "Then you can all get lost. Shoo, get out of here while I am still nice."
"You're playing with fire," Empress Una spat.
Under Albion's urging, Empress Una and her people quickly hopped in their choppers and left with haste, disappearing into the distance before long.
Shortly after, Albion waved his hands and broke open the dozen shipping containers, freeing more than two hundred captive elves inside.
However, their limbs were still bound, and their eyes were blindfolded.
For the average elves in the tribe, such shabby bindings could not keep them bound.
Unfortunately, the elves in front of Albion were all young and low in cultivation.
They were simply kids.
Albion snapped his fingers, and numerous invisible mental blades instantly sliced away at their shackles and blindfolds.
In a short instance, the elf children regained all of their freedom.
"Huh? Where are we?"
"Is this… outside of the sacred forest?"
The children began looking around with confusion before their eyes shortly fell on Albion, who appeared slightly different from the rest of them.
After all, he had the face of an elf with superior handsomeness to even the pureblooded royal elves.
"Rejoice! Your savior is here! Thanks to me, you have all been saved from a life of slavery and misery!" Albion began to preach. "Now, you may all call me Boss or Lord Albion!"
The elf children all glanced at each other for a moment before a few brave children among the group raised their hands to ask questions.
"Yes, you, the chubby one in the middle." Albion pointed to one of the elf kids with raised hands and said, "What did you want to ask?"
"Err, Boss? Do you know where we are? When can we go home?" the chubby elf boy asked.
However, Albion glanced at the kid with a 'what are you talking about?' face and said, "Home? What is home? Wherever I tell you to live is your new home. Just follow me, and you will all get to eat well and dress well. Your old homes no longer exist."
Albion attempted to recruit the young elves.
Alas, the kids began to break down in tears when he said the last line.
"Wuwu…. I want to go home… Where is my home?"
"What happened to my home? Why doesn't it exist anymore?"
"Waaaa, where are my mommy and daddy?"
The elf kids wept and bawled their eyes out.
"Stop crying. Stop crying, okay? It was my bad. I was joking. Your old homes still exists… F*ck, I said stop crying, you little sh*ts!"
Having to listen to over two hundred kids crying, Albion quickly lost his patience and wracked his brains with distress.
He had picked the wrong audience to recruit.
Due to being blessed with long lifespans, the elf children were no different from human babies. They were all a bunch of crybabies.
Albion could not stand listening to the two hundred crying kids.
"Dammit!" Albion cussed.
Swish—!
Albion's figure disappeared from the spot as he dashed deep into the forest until he found the patrolling scouts before randomly nicking two of them.
Without a doubt, the elf scouts were confused as hell when their vision blurred from the rapidly changing sceneries as Albion dragged them.
"Eh? Ehhhhhh??"
"Who are the hell are you?"
The confusion of the two scouts quickly turned into shock when they turned their heads to Albion and realized they had already exited the forest.
Albion hurled them in front of the elf children and said, "It doesn't matter who I am. Quickly do something about these crybabies. Shut them up or send them home or something."
"What the heck! Why are there so many children so far away from the tribe?!"
"Someone has been abducting our tribe's children?!"
The scouts were even more shocked and startled after realizing that before they slowly turned their heads back to Albion with suspicions.
"Oi, cunts! It wasn't me, alright?! Hmph! If anything, I was the one who saved them from abduction!" Albion snapped.
Nevertheless, it was also true that he tried to poach them after saving them, but there was no need to sweat the details.
"Hey, wait…"
The scouts tried to stop him, but no one could stop Ablion from running away.
He disappeared back into the forest and began returning to the Elf Tribe to pick Fenriri as promised and depart for Silvercove City.
He had already wasted enough time.
It only took him less than fifteen minutes to return to Elvaraden compared to the hours it took following Empress Una out of the forest.
Albion was simply that much faster.
