Chapter 71 - My Time Has Come
Chapter 71 - My Time Has Come
Senior Officer Guo shifted his gaze to Sum Gai before he said, "Explain to me what happened here."
"I tried to apprehend this person, but he resisted. Be careful, Senior Guo. This person is powerful! He might be a Master in the Initiate Realm. However, I don't know what stage he has achieved," Sum Gai explained.
Shortly after, Senior Officer Guo cast his serious gaze upon Albion and silently sized him up.
Senior Officer Guo was also a Martial Arts Master. However, he was only in the early stage of the Initiate Realm.
"Wait, Senior Guo, this is a misunderstanding! This all happened because Officer Sum mistook the bag of flour I slipped into Sum Ting—this person's pockets for drugs." Estelle Xiao quickly inserted before Senior Officer Guo took action.
Senior Guo frowned.
"Even if it was a misunderstanding, can a misunderstanding undo this damage?" Senior Guo pointed at the hole in the wall before adding, "The higher-ups had informed us an important person will be visiting our station. Who's going to clean this up?"
"I will clean it up, Senior Guo," Estelle Xiao said reluctantly.
Sum Ting—that person was her liability. As the one who brought him to the station, she had to clean up his mess
'That person really is my unlucky star,' Estelle Xiao thought.
Shortly after, Senior Guo nodded before asking, "Weren't you interrogating this person? Pass me the papers. I will take over from here while you clean up this mess."
"Err... That might be a bit... difficult..." Estelle Xiao struggled to explain with hesitation like a fishbone caught in her throat.
"What's difficult about fetching some papers? Stop wasting time and go now! We don't know when that important person is visiting our station." Senior Officer Guo urged sternly.
"That..." Estelle Xiao made a difficult expression before she ultimately succumbing to her fate with a sigh, "Yes, Senior Guo."
Shortly after Estelle Xiao left, Senior Officer Guo issued to his accompanying colleagues, "Officer Wan, please take Officer Sum to the infirmary to treat his wounds. Officer Phuc, watch that person."
"Yes, Senior Guo."
"Yes, Senior Guo."
Officer Wan and Officer Phuc complied with Senior Guo's order before Albion suddenly stopped them with a raised hand, Wait."
Senior Officer Guo, who had his eyes on Albion, immediately took a guarded stance at his sudden action.
However, Albion did nothing except glanced at their name tags with suspicions.
Officer Wan's full name was Wan Tu, and Officer Phuc's full name was Phuc Mi.
When Albion put Officer Sum, Officer Wan, and Officer Phuc's names together, he could not help but marvel at their combination.
The police station was filled with interesting people. Even Senior Officer Guo's full name was Guo Dai.
'Were they all people who have been bullied for their names in school and chose to become law enforcers to catch the bullies in crime?' Albion seriously wondered.
"What is it?" Officer Wan said impatiently.
Albion shortly shook his head with a soft chuckle, "Oh, it's nothing much. You can continue, officers. I just thought your names are all quite profound."
Profoundly amusing, that is.
Officer Wan and Officer Phuc's expression darkened before they snorted and carried on.
Shortly after, Estelle Xiao returned with the papers and passed them to Senior Officer Guo with a stuttering voice, "The... The papers, Senior Guo."
"Un." Senior Officer Guo accepted the papers before his expression froze on the big turtle. What kind of joke was this?
Senior Officer Guo shifted his gaze back to Estelle Xiao and glared at her sternly, "The station is not your playground, Estelle Xiao. Do not doodle on the forms again!"
After being chided by her most respectable and kind senior in the department, Estelle Xiao felt wronged and aggrieved as her eyes became watery.
"The turtle was drawn by me. You got a problem with turtles?" Albion asked.
Senior Officer Guo frowned before he searched Albion's name on the form to whom he can address the person by.
However, he got a headache when he saw the name on the form and sighed. It was obviously a fake name.
"I don't have a problem with turtles, but I do have a problem with you. You have assaulted a police officer. That's a maximum penalty of one-year imprisonment. I suggest you give yourself up peacefully. You're not my match with those cuffs on. They are made of..."Senior Officer Guo suddenly stopped explaining.
Albion twirled the handcuffs in one finger while nodding, "Uh-huh, Blackstar Iron, right? I know. But who did you say I am no match for with these handcuffs on again?"
Senior Officer Guo was immediately startled by Albion's hands-free handcuffs and viewed him with alarm.
"How did you get those handcuffs off...?" Estelle Xiao's previous aggrieved feelings were swept away by amazement.
"Didn't I tell you? I am a Wizard. This is magic." Albion grinned.
However, his grin did not last long before his ears twitched at the sound of a speeding vehicle.
While everyone's gaze quickly shifted to the incoming vehicle, Albion also turned around to see before his eyes narrowed.
"My time has come. My best friend is here to pick me up," Albion muttered with a flicker in his eyes before he spread his arms and closed his eyes.
"What best friend? Quickly dodge it, idiot!" Estelle Xiao cried.
Bam!
Albion was struck head-on by the speeding vehicle as the white truck rammed him straight into the police building, tearing down the building walls in an instance.
Broken rubbles collapsed, and dust filled the area, obscuring Senior Officer Guo and Estelle Xiao's sight for a moment.
The truck's doors slammed open on both sides before two brawny and tatted men in sweatshirts exited.
"Did we get him just like that?"
"Hard to say. It shouldn't be this easy—"
The two spoke before they sensed something amiss and immediately retreated from the truck.
Bam!
An immense force struck the front of the truck, sending it rolling backward before Albion walked out from the ruins while dusting his clothes.
"Haiz, not this time, Truck-kun.." Albion shook his head with a sigh.
