Chapter 82 - A Red Loli
Chapter 82 - A Red Loli
Ganymede Ocean.
20-thousand-odd feet below sea level, a black spherical sub could be seen descending the depths of the dark abyss.
"Captain, we are quickly approaching the 30-thousand feet depth. There's been nothing but small fishes so far," A male crewmate reported.
"Is there really hundred-foot big fishes down here like we were informed?" Another crewmate asked with doubt.
Intense beams of light illuminated the dark depths ahead of the sub while the captain observed on-screen.
"We will find out soon enough," The captain stated calmly.
Only a few moments passed before a female crewmate alarmed, "Captain, we are picking up signals of a huge creature on the sonar!"
"Seems like we finally get to see what lurks the ocean depths," The captain muttered before barking, "Ready the torpedoes! If it shows the slightest sign of hostility, fire at once!"
"Yes, captain!" A few crewmates immediately hopped into their battle stations.
Shortly after, the sea creature of deep depths was revealed on screen after coming into the light beam's range.
"That's... that's not an interdimensional beast! What a gigantic sea serpent! How did it grow so large?!" A crewmate was immediately shocked.
At the same time, the ancient sea serpent issued a strong underwater howl that shook the surrounding waters after getting angered by the bright light.
Many crewmates blocked their ears as they heard a high-pitched sound.
"Shoot it!" The captain barked.
In a short instance, several nuclear torpedoes were immediately unloaded onto the ancient sea serpent.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ocean depths shook with bubbly sounds as the ancient sea serpent was bombarded with direct hits while underwater explosions immediately obscured the situation!
However, shortly after the nuclear torpedo explosions subsided, a giant serpent head with a pair of cruel chilly eyes was shown up close on their screen.
Gulp!
Everyone swallowed their saliva.
"Captain, the nuclear torpedoes had no effect on this creature at all... instead, we seemed to have angered it even more..." The female crewmate said.
Shortly after, the ancient sea serpent opened its wide jaws...
...
Sometime later, onboard the monstrous 1500-ft long Ptolemy-class carrier, an informant could be seen rushing towards the commander's cabin.
"Commander Campbell, we have lost signal with the Gunther-class submarine!" The informant spat after barging into the cabin abruptly.
Esther Campbell furrowed slightly, but he did not punish the informant.
"If the signal for the Gunther-class submarine is lost, then most likely, the entire team of Hunters onboard perished..." Esther Campbell rubbed his forehead with distress, "Hopefully, this doesn't become a problem for us..."
"With all due respects, sir, that team of Hunters was only between Level 5 to Level 10 Hunter. People of this level are expendable to us." The informant saluted with one fist on his chest and the other behind his back.
"I don't care about this bit of loss." Esther Campbell shook his head before he said, "I'm talking about what took out the Gunther-class submarine."
"I'm afraid this subordinate cannot comprehend what you are worried about, sir," The informant responded.
"Haiz..." Esther Campbell shook his head again with a sigh before he asked, "Does it not cross your mind that even fishes can get EXP from hunting humans when humans can hunt other races for EXP?"
The Gunther-class submarine was armed with 24 nuclear torpedoes. If such things could not kill whatever the hunter team tried to kill, then who knew how much stronger it will be after leveling up?
"This..." The informant's expression immediately froze. "Why does that sound like we are in deep sh*t?"
...
Skylark Hills, hilltop mansion.
At 10AM in the morning, Albion could still be seen seated in a lotus position, his eyes closed and his breathing steady.
It was unknown whether he was sleeping or if he was cultivating. However, a pile of green leaves could be seen stacked on top of his head like a tower.
Albion was unaware that he had attracted guests from one of the other nearby homes situated within the same gated community on Skylark Hills.
After a soft gust of wind knocked down the leaf tower, the little girl in front of Albion cried, "Nooo—!"
"Hm?"
Albion was immediately awoken to the voice before he quickly noticed the cute little girl in red, "Who are you?"
"Ahh!" The little girl was startled into quickly hiding behind a tree before she bobbed her head out, staring back at him warily.
Albion was taken aback, wondering where this red loli came from.
"Xiao Hua, where are you? Stop hiding! You know I hate playing hide and seek outside!" A young lady's voice was suddenly heard from another direction before the little girl quickly tucked her head behind the tree again.
Shortly after, the person spotted Albion in his garden and made her way over.
"Excuse me—pft!" The lady suddenly laughed when she saw Albion's face before she quickly apologized, "Ahem. Sorry, you must be my new neighbor, right? Err, you don't happen to have seen a 13-year-old little girl in red around here, have you?"
"Um..." Albion turned his head towards a specific tree blankly, still trying to grasp the situation.
"Thank you." The pretty lady nodded before she barked, "Xiao Hua! Stop hiding and come out from behind that tree! I know you're there!"
"Boo, you cheated, sister! You asked for help!" Xiao Hua booed with complaint after exposing herself.
She returned to her sister's side before sneakily slipping a black marker in her grasp while holding her sister's hands.
"Hmph! Stop causing trouble for this pft—handsome brother and return home with me," The young lady laughed again before adding, "We don't have much time left."
"Hold on. Is there something wrong with my face or something? Why do you keep laughing at me?" Albion stopped them.
Before the lady could respond, Xiao Hua had quickly stolen her sister's hand mirror and passed it to Albion, "Take a look yourself, big brother!"
After his face, Albion immediately understood.
At that moment, he had two black circles-like glasses, a monobrow, and a french mustache drawn on him.
"I'm terribly sorry about this. It must be this mischievous little girl's doing," The lady quickly apologized in Xiao Hua's stead before introducing herself, "I am her big sister, Xiao Qing."
"Sister, it's not nice to blame your own mischief on others," Xiao Hua said slyly while Albion's gaze rested on the black marker in Xiao Qing's right hand.
"What the…" Xiao Qing was greatly astonished at the black marker in her hand before she bowed apologetically with a deep blush, "I'm terribly sorry about all this,"
Shortly after, she chased after the fleeing Xiao Hua, "You, little rascal! Watch how I punish your bottoms after I catch you!"
"Bleh! Catch me if you can!" Xiao Hua poked her tongue and giggled in her escape.
In a short moment, both sisters were gone from sight, disappeared inside the luxurious home just slightly down the hill.
"Albion Black is my name... thanks for asking, I suppose," Albion rubbed his forehead with a slight sulk before heading back inside his home.
Seems like they were not interested in hearing his name.
However, he did end up with a new handheld makeup mirror out of this strange encounter....
