I Became A System

Chapter 158 - Water

Chapter 158 - Water

After a while, Ellena finally noticed that she was getting sticky all over her body. It came from Cules. The excess blood was still all over his body in a minimal amount.

Ellena made a grossed-out expression as she wiped her body.

"Cules! That's gross! You also licked my face." Ellena exclaimed.

Cules just made a cute expression as he whined over Ellena's scolding. When Ellena noticed it, she sighed and approached him, and caressed his tummy.

"Let's take a bath," she said.

I could just sigh over their interaction.. It was cute, actually, but this big dude I have is an immature kid. Perhaps they just grow fast but they don't learn at the same pace.

As I looked at how grossed out Ellena was with the blood, I thought, how about we exchange the water element for Ellena's set of abilities?

It's a good choice though. It can be associated with Ellena's lightning. Though, the pressure will be the problem.

Nevertheless, I think this will be a good chance to buy a new element.

"Ellena, how about we exchange for a new element?" I asked her.

She eventually stopped what she was doing and looked at me. She had a deep thought for a few seconds.

I think she's thinking about what element I was talking about. However, she might also be thinking about the pressure that she'll experience in containing plenty of abilities.

? But I also think that it'll be better to be prepared as much as possible. There will be a time when choosing a new ability will be useless, especially in times of battle.

Well, in battle, time is important.

"How about I exchange the points I save for the Stamina Pool you were talking about?" she said.

Hm... that's possible too.

"But aren't you uncomfortable with that sticky liquid all over your body? Also, Cules needs a bath. He's still an infant despite his size." I said.

"How many points do we have?" she asked.

"You'll never know if you don't call your status board."

"Oh right. Status."

"It's still plenty. I think I'll exchange for one this time and save the rest for the Stamina Pool," she suggested.

"That's a good idea. Then how about this ability... Water Creation."

"What's the difference, by the way, with other magic abilities? It has another name after the element."

I also noticed it. And now that she has also noticed it, it might be important to talk about it.

"Well, Lightning Manipulation is like manipulating your bio-electricity in your body. But of course, it's not like you have infinite of it, just a little amount to be precise. And after having this ability, you can create a huge amount of lightning from it."

My explanation is not really something that is really applicable on Earth. As there's no such thing as magic prominent in science, it's also impossible without much modification.

But since this world has a concept of magic and abilities, any possible fantastical imagination is possible in this world.

For example, an ability to see through walls. It's not a possible feat on Earth. Without a specific instrument, you can't see through walls. And of course, it's not the same as what human eyes can see.

"How about others? Like the Fire Attribute?"

She's really curious about that, huh?

"Well, fire attribute just gave you the ability to create fire magic from the mana in the environment. Without mana, you can't do fire magic. But for the Lightning Manipulation, despite the lower amount of mana, you can still use it but with a minimal amount of energy."

She constantly nodded after my explanation. I think she finally understood some, but in reality, it's not much.

My knowledge of magic isn't that broad. I studied some but not that much as it can negate some of the logic.

Perhaps I can create some logic-defying magic if I suggest Ellena have Mana Perception, an ability that gives her flexibility with mana and allows her to do any magic, but it's still impossible right now.

That ability costs a huge number of points. Perhaps something to compete with Stamina Pool.

"I'll have Water Creation, Aaron," she said.

I nodded and prepared to install the ability.

The light covered Ellena's body and along the way, it removed the wet condition of her body.

Right... I forgot about this, but this is the after-effect of installing the ability to dry her.

"What happened? I'm not wet anymore."

"Well, it's water creation, but in reality, it can give you flexibility in manipulating water in your body. Thus, your clothes are also affected." I explained to her while I approached Cules, who was excited as I got near him.

"So... what do you mean?"

"That's a freebie. Maybe it was a thing that gave you the idea. I don't know, but it just exists unnecessarily."

"Well, for me it's necessary. So now... what should I do?"

I pointed out Cules.

"Give him a  bath. Just create a huge pool of water above him and dump it into him. After that, to dry him, remove the water particles in his body." I explained.

"Isn't the name Water Creation? How can I control the water like I am manipulating it?"

"It's just a name and basically, water is easy. It's just dihydrogen monoxide. Hence, it's pretty easy to manipulate since you can create it using the mana in the surrounding."

"Meaning?"

I grumbled before I continued explaining. "You can create water from the existing mana and particles in the surrounding area. It also says that you can create and control dihydrogen monoxide. So, existing dihydrogen monoxide is possible."

"I don't know what dihydrogen monoxide is, so I'll just think of it as water. So it means that I can control water. But how about fire? I can't control existing fire?"

I sighed as I realized that science wasn't really a thing in this world.

Maybe explaining this to her will just make things hard to understand.

"Let's say the fire is problematic and has plenty of... particles inside it. And your fire being created by magic is a signature of you. Meaning, you can only control your own fire but not others since they don't have your signature."

She was silent after I explained things to her. Perhaps, it was already a minute straight of silence.

She was thinking of it deeply.

And eventually, she nodded.

"Understood. And take responsibility. Teach me the science you mentioned in the past. I think it's the reason why I can't understand some."

I sighed and nodded as well. She's really brilliant. She understands things quickly, but not abstract matters. Maybe emotions and personality are not easy for her.

She adapts and accepts personalities she can observe, and eventually, in the process, she'll change them.

What a confusing person.
