Chapter 201 - Natural Biome Undergroud
Chapter 201 - Natural Biome Undergroud
The society's Central was another realm in the underworld. It was made of complex spells that had been preserved for hundreds of years. Though they thought they couldn't improve it, they managed it well.
It was like a natural biome. There were trees, and birds flying. Also, the sky was peaceful, despite the fact that it was only an illusion.
And also, the secret society is composed of strong people. Ellena's holder has a high-ranking core. And as cores are classified into 5 divisions, she was in the 3rd.
Cores' 5 divisions are Elementary, True Mage, Pioneer, Emperor, and Overlord. However, although there were names for all of the divisions, they weren't that commonly used. What's been used by society was circles.
The first circle was the lowest, and the fifth was the highest. In this way, they can treat everyone equally as if it were only a number that classifies a core, but not with names like the previous one.
There's much history I've learned. But it wasn't that much help. What I am aiming at right now is the theory. Because the fifth system is useless for teaching Ellena, I could only conjure up bestowal magic to assist her in using it.
However, I don't stop there. I am creating more techniques so that Ellena can withstand a mage of their class.
Since society is strong, it would be a problem for us if they became our enemies. As a result, I must exercise caution when calculating things.
The carriage that Ellena rode stopped at one place. It was a settlement, but this settlement doesn't have walls. I mean, why would they need a wall?
There were houses and paved streets. And as Ellena peeked from the window, someone who saw her called her out.
"What a biggy doing here?"
Biggy? It was an immature word, but knowing that a kid said it was understandable.
There were plenty of 10 to 15-year-old kids here. Of course, they have black hair, but looking at them, I feel that they were also ignored by the outside society.
I mean, I don't see any real parents here. There were just guardians, but I don't see any resemblance in each of them.
"What's a biggy?" Ellena asked.
"It means an adult. She was curious about why an adult like us was here."
Ellena nodded then looked again at the kid who called her. It was a 10-year-old, short, and tanned girl.
"Hi." Ellena waved her hand, smiling at the kid. Since she doesn't need to wear a mask, she can freely smile at anyone.
But the kid didn't smile back or even greet back. She was just still, perplexed.
"What are you doing?"
Ellena was baffled by it. Not actually baffled, rather, she was shocked.
"I guess she doesn't know what a wave is, Ellena. Perhaps she was a first-timer at this."
'Even it's like that. How could a kid not know what a greet is?'
"Maybe she's been secluded." I merely said.
As Ellena was getting more curious, Ellena's holder spoke up.
"She's from a mountain from the outside world. She grew up in a place where there were no adults other than her mother, so that's why she doesn't know anything about greetings or anything about greetings."
"I see..." Ellena mumbled. Then, the carriage continued moving, entering the settlement.
From what I heard from the holder, it means that there are still righteous parents that don't discriminate against their children because they have black hair. I commend their actions.
Well, it's not like I didn't know that Gero's parents were like that. But the only mistake Gero's parents made was living normally with other people who disliked Cursed Children.
Sometime later, Ellena opened the door of the carriage in front of a normal house. It wasn't grandiose, perhaps more appropriate to say, average.
"What? Did you expect your place to be better than others?"
Ellena shook her head after her holder's words.
"Why would I? I am also interested in how everyone acts. Since everyone is equal, I don't know how society acts." Ellena said, looking at the house.
Her holder just smiled and started talking. And from what she sounded like, I think it's actually better to live with her.
There were no capitalists. Hence, no boss, nor higher hierarchy. However, even with a system like this, they only have one higher person, and they are the ones who they select.
There were no forced jobs, telling that it was their responsibility. People can do what they like, even if it's evil. Also, there were no factories... Meaning, everyone tinkers with their passion, not just because it's only their choice.
But there will always be flaws. And now that I think about it, the flaw in this system is human resources. And so, what I only think is the possible solution is not needing a particular section where people will be needed.
For example, mining. Not everyone likes mining, so, since there were no people that would like to mine, then they wouldn't put much use to mining.
Well, they have magic, so they don't need to mine.
"So it was like that... Can I ask more?"
The holder just raised her eyebrow with Ellena's question.
"What was it?"
"Can I know your name? I feel like you know my name, but I don't know yours."
Her holder sighed with a chuckle after it.
"I am Emilia."

Inside a bright room, there were three people sitting on a platform. The room was so bright that the figures of the three people were too visible. Yet, their faces aren't visible.
"I feel blessed. A sign that the gods didn't leave us after the weakening of the ancient dots."
? "Yes, it was fortunate that she found us. But what do you think of her? Can she handle the responsibility?"
"Even we weren't saving the world as an organization, I still feel that it's too soon for her to handle it."
"Isn't she strong already? If we step up, we can hone her."
"You are never wrong there, old man. But will the people accept us as one of them? We have white hairs."
"That's just being old, old man."
"But I still hope that she can handle it."
