I Became the Best Forensic Doctor After My Betrayal

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Arrest

“I’m sorry. An emergency situation just cropped up over here. We’ll be right there.” The medical team apologized sincerely over the phone, but it was obvious that their explanation did not satisfy the bodyguards. Instead, it made them even angrier.

The bodyguard hung up the phone with a fierce click. He looked at Shen Yin, who was looking nonchalant, and said impatiently, “You, hurry up and give Old Master first aid. Otherwise, President Lian definitely won’t let you off.”

“Hey, can you be more reasonable? You were the ones who wouldn’t let me help him just now.” Shen Yin did not budge. She wanted to pressurize this stubborn and bad-tempered bodyguard a little.

The bodyguard who had been squatting silently beside the old man suddenly stood up worriedly and looked at Shen Yin apologetically. “Miss, even if you’re innocent, you have to save the Old Master first, right? If something happens to the Old Master, President Lian will still blame you even if you’re cleared of suspicion. Why don’t you be magnanimous and help the Old Master first?”

Shen Yin pursed her lips and glared at the other two bodyguards. She said angrily, “Listen, that’s more like it!”

She rolled her eyes and did not argue with them any further. After all, a life were at stake. She did not want someone to die just because of a passing fit of anger. In the end, her professional ethics won out. If she could save someone, she would to do her best.

She knelt down and carefully examined the old man’s eyes, mouth and nose. She skillfully performed CPR and a series of resuscitation measures. Although the old man still did not regain consciousness, he looked much better.

The bodyguards finally heaved a sigh of relief. If their Old Master died due to their negligence, President Lian would probably bury them with the Old Master.

Shen Yin wiped the sweat from her forehead and stood up with a sigh of relief. However, before she could catch her breath, she heard the surrounding bodyguards take a deep breath in unison.

She followed their gaze and saw the automatic glass doors of the exit suddenly swing open on both sides. The blinding sunlight was blocked by a wall of people.

The man who entered first was wearing a black trench coat over a pair of fitted trousers and a high-collared white cashmere shirt. He looked capable and domineering.

The man frowned, his dark eyes glittering frostily.

He first instructed the stretcher behind him to lift up the unconscious old man, then frowned angrily at Shen Yin. He aggressively grabbed her by the wrist.

Shen Yin yanked her hand back, but realized that she could not break free.

“You, come with us.” The man did not say anything else. He did not even give Shen Yin a second look. He just peremptorily grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the airport.

“Don’t come over.” Shen Yin saw Shen Nian running out of the crowd. She twisted her body to shake her head at him as she mouthed those words. She could tell that this man was not easy to deal with. She could not implicate Nian Nian.

Soon, the man was roughly shoving her into a car. A neat row of Maseratis sped down the street, following the ambulance in front.

‘Where are you taking me? Are you kidnapping me in broad daylight?’ Shen Yin stared at him, fear in her eyes.

The man kept his gaze straight ahead, ignoring her glares. “One more word and I’ll throw you out.”

The car was moving very fast. Even Shen Yin, who often needed to travel by car, could not take it. Her stomach churned.

Shen Yin was glad that she had not eaten much just now. Otherwise, she would have vomited it all out.

The man grabbed her hand disdainfully and dragged her peremptorily through the crowded hospital lobby.

He was hurting Shen Yin’s wrist. She was able to twist her wrist slightly to reduce the force of his grip, otherwise she suspected that she would have dislocated her wrist.

“What are you doing? Are you a barbarian? Let me tell you, you’re seriously endangering my personal safety.” Shen Yin accused him loudly, but none of the nurses and doctors she passed stopped them. They all lowered their heads in unison and pretended not to see her.

“If you keep talking nonsense, I’ll shut you up forever.” The man glared fiercely at the noisy woman beside him. He was already extremely irritated. If anything happened to his grandfather this time…

With that thought, the man gripped her even more forcefully. Shen Yin groaned in pain, but she still refused to beg for mercy.

No one knew how worried he had been when the bodyguards informed him of his grandfather’s sudden heart attack. When he saw the reason for his grandfather’s illness, he wanted to kill this woman.
