80 Everything Has Its Antidote

After Lian Jing’s disruption, the fear in Shen Yin’s heart gradually dissipated. As the night deepened, she stared at the dim lamp by the bed and felt sleepy again.

This time, she did not have any nightmares and had a good night’s sleep. Shen Yin woke up early the next day.

“Good morning, Mom.” Shen Nian excitedly jumped into her arms and stared at her finger.

“What are you looking at?” Shen Yin felt that something was wrong when she washed up early in the morning. She was about to look when Lian Jing suddenly grabbed her hand and dragged her downstairs.

“Let’s eat first.”

Shen Yin staggered from his grip and barely managed to steady herself. Her hand was still in his palm, so she could only glare at him hatefully from behind.

Shen Nian, who was left behind, smiled helplessly. His mother was always smart and meticulous, but she did not pay much attention to her personal matters. She had not even noticed what was on her hand.

It seemed that his dear mother was going to be completely dominated by his biological father.

“Why are you all looking at me like that?” Shen Yin drank her porridge in bewilderment, as she realized that the people at the dining table were all peeking at her.

“Nothing.” Lian Jing had just put a bun on her plate when the doorbell suddenly rang.

“Oh, you’re still eating. Looks like I came at the right time. Count me in.” Shang Sheng sat beside Lian Jing uninvited and greeted everyone at the dining table. “Grandpa, I haven’t come for a few days, did you miss me? Brother, did you forget about me after having a son? Why haven’t you thank me?”

As he was smiling and talking, he suddenly felt a strong oppressive aura from opposite him. He looked up in horror and realized that Shen Nian was staring at him sinisterly.

He suddenly realized that he was the one who had kidnapped this child and brought him back to the Lian family. His methods were dishonorable and he must have offended the boy. He hurriedly rubbed his messy hair. “Little nephew, Uncle came specially to visit you this time.”

Shen Nian rolled his eyes and continued to eat his bun. He might appear to be weak and harmless, but in fact, he was thinking about how to take revenge.

He had teased everyone at this table except for Shen Yin. Lian Jing frowned in displeasure and glared at him. “Didn’t you see your sister-in-law?”

“Sister-in-law?” Shang Sheng looked at the woman beside Shen Nian in disbelief. She was beautiful and had a natural charm. She was indeed a beauty.

“Shang Sheng.” Lian Jing put down his spoon and stared coldly at Shang Sheng’s dazed profile.

“Ahem.” Shang Sheng coughed softly and was about to greet her perfunctorily when he saw what was on the woman’s hand. He was stunned. Then, he turned in horror and whispered in Lian Jing’s ear, “Brother, you’re serious!”

Lian Jing ignored him and used his eyes to silently condemn him for being rude.

Shang Sheng resentfully turn his head back. He stood up and bowed deeply to Shen Yin. “Sister-in-law, I was blind and failed to realize that you’re my sister-in-law. Please forgive me.”

Shen Yin glanced at the man opposite her and pursed her lips to hide her smile. “It’s fine. You don’t have to stand on ceremony.”

Shang Sheng immediately sat down as if he had been pardoned. He looked at Shen Yin with admiration. “Sister-in-law, how did you manage to subdue my brother? I thought this icy person was destined to die alone!”

Shen Yin choked on the soup and coughed a few times before replying with a red face, “Other than being Nian Nian’s biological parents, your brother and I have no other relationship. You don’t have to address me as sister-in-law.”

“That won’t do!” Shang Sheng looked gloomy when he saw the grim face of the person beside him. He gave Shen Yin a look. “Sister-in-law, put in a good word for me or I’ll be in trouble soon.”

Shen Yin heaved a long sigh of relief and finished the last mouthful of porridge in her bowl. She looked at the two people opposite her and could not help but laugh. “Alright then. Lian Jing, send me to work.”

“?” That was it? Shang Sheng looked at Shen Yin in a daze. How could this be considered putting in a good word for him? Since when did anyone dare to speak to his brother like this? He would be furious!

Shang Sheng felt that he should not have come that morning. Just as he was about to nervously slip away, he saw the man beside him stand up expressionlessly, pick up his car keys, and walk out.

“?”

Why was there a hint of joy in Lian Jing’s actions? Was he crazy or was his brother crazy?
