Chapter 137 Return To Maharlika, Little Punishment
?
Arlan's group managed to safely pass the safety inspection of the airport staff. When they were checking his fabricated IDs and passport, Arlan felt like he was sitting on pins and needles. Luckily, the airport staff didn't find anything amiss and they were allowed to enter the waiting area.
"Winter, is there any movement on the Cassano Family's side?" Arlan asked they took their seats.
"The Legion Military Company placed tracks in Milan so the Cassano Family is still looking for you guys there." She replied in a calm tone.
"Oh? It looks like losing 100 million dollars isn't too bad at all." Arlan was genuinely impressed by the military company's performance.
"Then what about the De Luca Family?" Arlan's eyes narrowed as he thought about Paolo. That guy was like a poisonous snake. He looked very friendly when they met, but he was actually harboring bad intentions. He didn't even hesitate to betray his good friend Ben Hidalgo.
"I discovered that Paolo struck a deal with the Cassano Family. I don't know the contents of their deal, but it should be the reason why Eduardo Cassano managed to find you so easily." Winter answered.
"That bastard! I know that he's up to no good!" Arlan gritted his teeth. "Is there anything we can do to take revenge for this?"
Winter was silent for a moment before she replied. "I will leak some of their illegal businesses to the authorities. Although this won't affect them much, it would at least cause them some troubles."
"That's enough. Do it!" Arlan just wanted to let them know that he was someone that they shouldn't mess with.
"Alright..."
The flight from Istanbul to Maharlika was 12 hours long. During their flight, Arlan watched a Korean movie together with Krizia. He wasn't a fan of Korean dramas, but it turns out that they were actually good. He didn't feel bored at all and they even ended up watching all the episodes.
It was already evening when their plane landed in Manila.
"We're finally back!" Arlan inhaled a breath of fresh air as soon as they stepped out of the plane.

In a mansion in Milan, Italy. Paolo was enjoying the massage of three beautiful women when his phone suddenly rang. "Who the hell is disturbing my... ekk!" He almost jumped up in shock when he saw that it was actually his father. He hurriedly answered the call. "Dad, is there something I can help you?"
"Paolo, what is happening?! Why was there a leak in our businesses?! Just what did you do?!" His father's furious roar echoed in his ears. He pulled the phone away to save his ears from the noise.
"I-I don't know, Dad." Paolo was alarmed by the news, but he believed that it had nothing to do with him.
"Shut up! Then why is it that only the businesses under your name are leaked?! Do you think I'm an idiot?! You have to clean this up!" His father hung up the phone after shouting angrily at him.
Paolo furrowed his eyebrows at the end of the call. Why was there a leak to his businesses? He immediately contacted his subordinates and asked them what was going on, but none of them gave a satisfactory answer. "A bunch of worthless things!" He almost threw his phone in his rage.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
Paolo frowned after seeing another notification, but upon checking the notification, his face darkened. It was only a short message, but he finally realized who was responsible for the leak.
- You betrayed us, Mr. De Luca. This is just a minor punishment. If our goods aren't delivered on time, I will make sure that you will be kicked out of the De Luca Family. This is a warning!
Paolo could no longer hold back his rage. He smashed his phone as he shouted. "Arlan Dominic Roa! Ahh!"

Arlan was drinking coffee on the balcony of his mansion with Krizia when he suddenly sneezed. "Why did it suddenly turn cold?" He mumbled as he grabbed his cup of coffee.
"Mr. Roa, what are your plans for tomorrow?" Krizia asked while looking at him. After the trip in Milan and Istanbul, she thought about quitting. However, she felt that it was already too late to quit. She was already deeply involved in Arlan's matters and the De Luca Family had already seen her face. She wouldn't feel safe if she left Arlan's side so her only choice was to stay with him.
Arlan put down the cup of coffee and looked at her as he replied. "We should take a day off tomorrow. We have already dealt with the major issues anyway."
Krizia nodded her head at his words.
"Is there anything wrong? Are you starting to regret your choice now?" Arlan chuckled when he saw the look on her face.
Krizia sighed and shook her head. "I don't regret anything. I just feel a bit overwhelmed... I can still vividly remember the faces of the people I killed..."
Arlan didn't know what to say. She must be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder because of the recent events.
Suddenly, they heard someone's footsteps coming towards them. When they turned their heads, they saw the expressionless Winter. "You should come with me to the Lake View Villa tomorrow. I might be able to help you overcome your fears."
Krizia was taken aback by her words, but she felt like she could trust this cold-looking beauty. "If Mr. Roa allows me, I'll go with you."
Arlan shrugged his shoulders. "We have nothing to do anyway so I don't mind, but how are you planning to help her?" He asked.
Winter calmly took a seat before she answered. "By letting her experience the virtual world... I've made a free world where everyone can relax their minds. I don't know if it will bring positive effects, but we never know."
"Virtual world?" Krizia stared at her in confusion.
"You'll know about it tomorrow." Winter muttered mysteriously.
