Chapter 97 Testing Armor, Manila Heaven Club
Chapter 97 Testing Armor, Manila Heaven Club
?
Brandee didn't even hesitate when he heard the salary. Even their Area Manager who handles 6 Toyota branches only had a salary of 40,000 pesos! Only an idiot would decline this offer.
"Good! I'll call someone and have you sign some paperwork." Arlan chuckled when he saw the quick change in Brandee's attitude.
"Yes, boss!" Brandee changed his way of addressing Arlan.
The villa's butler, Jonas, came to sign the paperwork with Brandee. Jonas was already experienced in handling matters like this so he just observed them at the sideline.
After Brandee was done signing the paperwork, Arlan went out of the villa to check the armored Toyota Avalons. Brandee trailed behind him with a fawning smile on his chubby face. "Boss, I guarantee that not even rifle rounds could damage the bulletproof on these cars."
"Is that so?" Arlan rubbed his chin and asked a soldier to grab a pistol and a rifle. He wanted to see if it could really withstand rifle rounds.
When Brandee heard their conversation, he was stunned and he couldn't help but rub his hands in nervousness. His new boss was actually planning to test out the armor of the cars! 'Oh no! I hope this ends well...' He prayed in his heart.
The soldier came back with a Glock 19 pistol and an M16 rifle. Arlan first tried the pistol and he fired it on the Toyota Avalon.
Bang!
Spiderweb-like cracks appeared at the windshield, but when Arlan checked it, only the outer portion of the armor was cracked. "Not bad." He muttered. He then tossed the pistol to the soldier and grabbed the M16 rifle.
Brandee's heart was beating wildly at this point. He heaved a sigh of relief after seeing that the armor managed to hold on, but when Arlan grabbed the M16 rifle, his hands began to shake. "B-Boss, I think..."
Bang!
"What did you say? Did you say something?" Arlan asked as he lowered the M16.
Brandee fiercely shook his head. "Nothing."
Arlan turned his gaze back to the car and noticed that there were only some shattered parts on the first layer of the armor. The second layer was still intact. "Oh? It looks like your friend is quite capable. Send this car back to his shop and have it repaired." He said to Brandee while patting the latter's shoulder.
Brandee released a heavy sigh. "Yes, boss!" He answered while wiping the sweat on his forehead. 'Thank god it managed to block the rifle bullet.' Brandee was starting to have second thoughts about his new boss. He even somewhat regretted that he immediately accepted his offer, but it was too late to change his mind now. They have already signed the documents and he didn't have the money to pay for breaching the contract.
"Here's your advanced payment. That's worth 2 months of your salary." Arlan tossed a stack of 1000-peso bills to him.
"This..." Brandee was shocked as he caught the money.
Arlan waved his hand as he entered the villa. He still had to prepare for his meeting with Terrence.
Brandee grinned as he carefully kept the stack of money in his pocket. He even stared guardedly at the soldiers nearby, but they only gave him scornful looks.
At 6:30 p.m., Arlan drove his Lamborghini Sesto Elemento to Manila Heaven Club. This place was where the rich kids usually go. One has to have a membership card to enter this club and the price for a normal membership card was 100,000 pesos.
When Arlan arrived at the club, he spotted Terrence waiting for him outside. The guy was leaning on a black Maybach.
Terrence was taken aback when he saw a handsome Lamborghini parked in front of him. 'Lamborghini Sesto Elemento?! Which tycoon is this?'
This car was worth 2.7 million dollars and even those with money couldn't purchase it. There was only a limited number of this car in the world and Arlan actually owned one of them!
The moment Arlan stepped out of the car, Terrence's eyes widened like saucers. "Arlan!"
"Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?" Arlan chuckled as he walked towards Terrence.
Terrence bumped fists with him and grinned. "You really hid it well, buddy! You have a car like that, but you still took my 100,000 dollars when I lost a game with you."
"Come on! That's a different matter." Arlan laughed when he saw Terrence's expression.
"Nevermind. I'll take you inside first. You need to have a membership card to enter this club so we have to register you first." Terrence brought him inside the club and took him to the front desk to register.
"What kind of membership card should I get?" Arlan asked for Terrence's opinion.
"I think you should just take the Silver Member Card since you rarely come to places like this. With this card, you can already enter their Earth Room and you will also get a 10% discount if you buy their products." Terrence gave him a short explanation.
According to him, the Manila Heaven Club has five different types of membership cards and each has their own perks. The normal membership card would only let you enter the club, but you won't get any discounts or privileges. The bronze membership card is worth 500,000 pesos and you will have a 5% discount on your purchases. The silver membership card that is worth 1,000,000 pesos gives you a 10% discount and access to the club's private room. The gold membership card was worth 1,000,000 pesos and this gives you a 15% discount and access to a bigger private room which they call Heaven Room. As for the diamond membership card that was worth 5,000,000 pesos, you will get a 20% discount and access to any private room. You will also be invited to any major events hosted by the club.
Arlan wasn't fond of these places so he only paid for a normal membership card.
"Let's go. I'll take you to the Heaven Room upstairs. My friends are there." Terrence grabbed his shoulder and dragged him to the third floor of the building.
