Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Don’t Be at Ease After Achieving a Minor Goal!
Kaplan explained to the team that he didn’t give up when surrounded by zombies.
Instead, Kaplan found a way out of the encirclement. Eventually, he returned to the Red Queen’s main server room. He then burned the Red Queen’s mainboard.
While the Red Queen was forcefully turned off, she couldn’t control the facilities in the underground laboratory anymore, which unlocked the laboratory door where Angelica and the others were.
“We don’t have much time left. Let’s take the train and leave!”
“There’s an anti-virus serum near the train. Rain could be saved!”
Angelica looked at the laboratory door that started to deform. She knew that the door would soon be unable to withstand the attacks of the Licker.
They quickly left the laboratory and headed to the train.
Angelica was trying to hold back her nausea as she looked at the broken corpse of the mole.
Angelica took away the box next to him containing the anti-virus serum.
They managed to get on the train before the Licker reached them.
After getting on the train, Angelica immediately took the anti-virus serum from the box and injected it into Rain.
At the moment, Angelica wasn’t aware she was just playing a game.
Angelica had forgotten that Rain was just an NPC!
Angelica had treated Rain as an actual living human!
The sound of the moving train made Angelica feel reassured. She leaned against the wall of the carriage and let out a sigh of relief.
Finally, Angelica was able to interact with the viewers.
“Phew! What do you think, my friends? It’s time for you to approve of my gaming skills! Since we are on the train now, I think I’ve passed the game!”
Angelica was interacting with viewers with a smug look. She had been holding back her anger and almost couldn’t help but want to close the game while the viewers were provoking her.
Angelica felicitated herself for hanging on in the game. Unexpectedly, she was talented in the game. She could clear the game as it was her first time playing!
[It’s just because the host is lucky. I can do it too!]
[I agree. It’s just the first season of Zombie Apocalypse. The game will probably have a follow-up plot!]
[It’s easy to clear the game since the producer focused on creating a horrifying atmosphere and lessened the fighting parts!]
Angelica stuck out her tongue helplessly as she read the viewers’ arrogant comments.
“Humph! I know you’ll be arrogant! Anyway, I’m about to clear the game. You can envy my achievements in your hearts!”
As Angelica happily interacted with the viewers in the live-streaming room, she was shocked by the sudden appearance of a prompt.
“Warning! Alice is under attack! Please pause the game immediately or resume the game!”
“What’s going on? Wasn’t I soon about to clear the game as I got on the train? Who attacked me?”
Although Angelica was clueless about the situation, she immediately switched her perspective to the game.
As Angelica resumed the game, she felt the whole carriage shaking violently, which made it hard for her to stand.
Kaplan shouted, “Alice, what are you doing? Get up! We’re under attack!”
Kaplan thought Angelica had fallen asleep since he saw her sitting on the floor without any reactions. Hence, he tried to wake her up.
Angelica immediately stood up and found support to stand still. Later, she asked.
“What happened? Who attacked us? ”
Matt said with a gloomy expression.
“The Licker! The brute has caught up with us!”
The moment Matt finished his words, the carriage shook again. Everyone looked up together, picked up their weapons, and fired at the roof.
The Licker caught up with them and jumped onto the train!
Suddenly, the train door beside them flew away, leaving sparks on the tracks.
Later, a long, elastic tongue came from the door. It wrapped around Kaplan and dragged him out of the train.
Everyone on the train could only watch their teammate being taken away by the Licker helplessly.
[Haha! What did the host just say? She had cleared the game? Host, you’re telling me you cleared the game when you haven’t dealt with the boss?]
[You shouldn’t be at ease after achieving a minor goal! You’re going to screw up now!]
[It’s too bad. Why is the Licker unable to aim precisely to catch the host? If it had caught the host, the game would have been over!]
The viewers in the live-streaming room weren’t worried about Angelica when they watched her in trouble. Instead, they were excited.
Meanwhile, Angelica couldn’t interact with the viewers since she was busy dealing with the Licker. She held her weapon nervously, staring at places where she might be attacked.
The train was on the verge due to the Licker’s strong attack. The main train door had been removed by the Licker, leaving three exposed spots in the front of the train!
The Licker could attack them with its tongue from different directions!
Just as Angelica focused on the Licker, she suddenly heard a low growl from behind.
Angelica thought she had heard it wrong. However, she saw Rain pounce on her the moment she turned around.
In the end, Rain became a zombie due to the late injection of the anti-virus serum.
Rain, who appeared pale and had scarlet eyes, sprang at Angelica and wanted to bite her.
Angelica held the weapon in one hand. However, she couldn’t bear to pull the trigger.
“Darn it! Why does the game have to be so realistic? I can’t do it!”
Angelica was on the verge of tears. It was the first time she was compassionate to a game.
[Although I want to see the host lose the game, I can’t do it if I were you!]
[The game is way too real. You’d better shoot her right away, host. After all, it’s just a game!]
[Although the producer has repulsive addiction, I must admit this is a masterpiece!]
The live-streaming room was filled with sadness. Finally, Angelica made up her mind.
Angelica pulled the trigger. Later, a bloody hole appeared on Rain’s forehead. Eventually, Rain closed her eyes and fell to the ground.
When Angelica saw Rain, her teammate with whom she had formed friendships, was dead due to the virus, she was incensed.
Angelica wanted to kill the damn Licker and take revenge for Rain!
It had nothing to do with winning or losing the game.
