The person on the other end was stunned and asked in a worried tone, “Skender is dead? Then what should our mother
do?”
Johnny furrowed his eyebrows and grew impatient, saying, “She is buried in the Johnson family cemetery. Send someone to inquire and verify if it’s true.”
The other person replied with “okay” and then hung up the phone.
Johnny put down his phone and looked out the car window. He felt like everything had happened too suddenly and it didn’t seem quite real.
This made him doubt if Eva was deceiving him, but half an
hour later, he received a call.
