“Amelia, are you alright?”

After Eva finished talking with Paul, she immediately went to the

office.

She quickly washed up and changed her clothes. When she came

out, she overheard Mr. Jenkin’s conversation.

He said that James caught Johnny flirting with Amelia and that

they were fighting downstairs. There were also guns involved.

Eva was so frightened that she did not even have time to put on

her high heels. She quickly wore her slippers and she rushed down in a hurry with her hair still wet.

When Amelia heard Eva’s voice, she hurriedly pushed away

James, who was about to kiss her, and turned to face Eva who

was rushing towards her in a panic.

“Eva, I’m fine. Be careful, don’t run.”

Eva rushed to Amelia and quickly examined her just to make sure she was alright.

“Amelia, I was scared to death. I thought something happened to you. My heart was literally about to leap out of my chest!”
