Chapter 181 - A Husband On The Move To Save Big Sister!
Chapter 181 - A Husband On The Move To Save Big Sister!
It's said that the worlds were full of idiots.
Kyoya felt like he could see the real meaning of these words in front of himself. There were countless dead bodies laying around him with a few stronger ones trying to defend themselves against his knife and concepts.
"What the hell is this guy? It is as if the fog doesn't even work on him."
"We were too stupid… If this guy alone can deal with us, then the black castle would swallow us alive… Fuck it…"
"Maybe we can still survive… Hey, you! You! Please, don't go for us! If you want our equipment, then take it all! Please, please!"
After the pressure became unbearable for the surviving adventurers, one of them shouted desperately to survive. This was the trigger for the rest to do the same and so they all begged in a unison.
As their foreheads dug into the ground, Kyoya relaxed his posture, then let these people leave. He then sneakily took their equipment into his inventory and returned to the camp.
[You are close to getting Lightning Resistance.]
[Your Divine Energy has built up 0,2% anti-lightning powers.]
Kyoya enemies were everyone who was around his level. However, the lightning believers were the priority as Kyoya could build up power bountifully by fighting against them. Their weapons couldn't be turned into power yet, though.
So Kyoya could only taste their blood and lightning with his own body!
It was the reason as to why he let the previous adventurers go.
The power was what Kyoya needed, but as the assassin craft currently needed the experience and killing only, Kyoya knew that this lightning quest could come in handy in the future hot bath quest.
Even if this anti-lightning power turned out to be useless in the incoming adventure, Kyoya would still be fine with it as he finally began building up enough power to go against Hekrer. It was a small progress towards huge success!
"How is your loot? You don't seem to have anything."
"I got… a lot. It's already within my house in the Grooma Kingdom."
"Oh, how convenient. You got your own house?"
"Yes."
The one who broke the silence was one of the 'silent' disciples.
This disciple worked for himself, but had never passed on the daily talks with other disciples as it was a bountiful experience as well. Nonetheless, Kyoya found it strange for him to break the silence first.
This man was surrounded by various items from the hunt just like the other disciple on the other side. Only the lady from the assassin's disciples was absent here, but it was exactly the reason why this disciple spoke.
"You looked quite close with her, so I think something is wrong with her being absent."
"What do you mean?"
"We were pretty close during our hunt. So close that I could hear her killing her prey, but it stopped momentarily, then it seemed like she got forced to run."
Kyoya didn't ask for more as he knew what was in this guy's mind.
It wasn't like he was oblivious to the lady's life nor to Kyoya's.
As he spoke, his voice was slightly emotional as if he couldn't do anything to help his 'fellow' disciple. His eyes closed as he faintly distorted his face to show the pain, then urged Kyoya to look out for her as he slowly added more and more information about the woman's enemies.
It turned out that these were lightning adventurers.
Whether it was coincidence or not, Kyoya knew that this guy was hoping for something to happen. If Kyoya were to save the lady, then this man would get the 'achievement' of helping the lady despite his condition.
And if both the lady and Kyoya were to die, then he would have more time with the assassin as two out of four disciples would be gone.
It was not that bad and he spoke in a convincing manner that already made the other disciple nod with similar regretful feelings, but Kyoya could see through his face.
"Since both of you can't go and help her, I will do it."
"Yes, it seems like you have taken a liking to her. Good luck."
"Liking?"
"Yeah, haven't you frequently spoken with her? Both of you were always smiling too. Haha, you know how to set up a mood."
"I was just speaking with her like a friend."
Kyoya shrugged to such words as what he was doing seemed rather normal for him. He just engaged with the lady in conversation to kill time and get new friendship. Besides, it was also nice to speak with others instead of just sitting near the bonfire in silence.
It was normal for the husband, so after he commented on that, his body disappeared from the sight.
However, what Kyoya thought to be a normal friendship was indeed different in the eyes of other residents. It was the same for men and women.
"A friend, he said. Haha."
"From a friend to lover, you know the thing."
Both disciples chuckled to themselves, then treated their wounds while keeping eyes on treasures from the hunt. Those eyes shone as brightly as the hanging moon.
-
Kyoya went onto the search of his 'big sister'.
It was too awkward to call each other 'You' all this time, so both Kyoya and the lady from the assassin's circle were calling themselves something by such nicknames. It also felt appropriate as they were both disciples of stronger individual.
Thanks to the fact that Kyoya let the adventurers go, his wounds were lighter and could be healed on the run. He looked deeply around the foggy forest, then a familiar feeling swept through his body from the side.
This feeling was exactly the assassin craft performed by someone else.
After feeling this, the husband immediately rushed to help his friend!
His eyes dilated when he saw her surrounded by a lightning barrier. This barrier was so wide that Kyoya wouldn't be able to see her body properly if it weren't for his good eyes! In the middle of this formation was a good looking individual whose face and hair seemed familiar.
'Is this… someone from Rosa's family? They feigned being adventurers?'
