Chapter 1013 Arnark Vs CC (Part 2)

Chapter 1013 Arnark Vs CC (Part 2)

"What the fuck?" Peddler screamed shrilly like a banshee, causing all his believers to flinch at his unexpected high pitched swear.

"Did something happen, Your Lordship?" The Apostle under him asked in a hurry, tensed, alert while wondering if Invaderon had done something shocking instead.

"Didn't you say you had no intention of harming this world? Why the heck did you create a collapsing star from the get go?" He felt weak for a moment, having expended a portion of his fortune to reinforce the barrier protecting the field. It somehow managed to withstand the attack but through his believers, all he could see was just a sphere of white revolving within.

"Go there and witness it on my behalf." Peddler snapped his finger as the Apostle beside him grunted in response, feeling a searing strain when he was upgraded from an Apostle to a Saint. His hair rapidly became fully coloured as his face was pale.

"You don't have enough talent to be my Saint, but you can temporarily endure this level of power." Peddler said and brought out his weighing scale, sending the Saint to the field, "I want you to be my eyes and hands. It's easier to maintain the barrier by funnelling my power through you than the other believers."

"I won't fail you." The Saint of Peddler spoke as he vanished and appeared at the scene, staring from a spot on the inner circle as he muttered in shock, "Holy heck!"

Before him, separated by the barrier was a destructive energy capable of wiping out all the Saints and a good portion of the world…or not.

Suddenly, all the Saints stared up in reflex, observing mysterious words manifest in the skies. The laws of the world had manifested as the words began to jump. Suddenly, everyone could feel it.

The laws were actively rewriting the rules of the world to nerf the power of the attack launched by the God of Humanity. And in a matter of seconds, they were done as the white sphere became self-contained.

It then started to collapse on its own and vanished in a matter of seconds. The fearsome energy it generated was naturally absorbed by the land that regenerated, reforming the vast field of grass once again, pristine.

"How mystical!" Yedu was mesmerised, having never witnessed the laws of the world itself take action, enlightened in response.

Every single Deity and Devil that had witnessed the scene was enlightened by the physical manifestation of the laws of the world in such clear order, experiencing a growth in strength. Immediately, the gap between them and the peak six was bridged by a small extent.

On one side stood Arnark, clicking his tongue upon seeing that his clothes were in tatters, "It took me a year to weave that out of a divine beast's fur…"

Other than his clothes being in tatters, there was no other change in him. Even that devastating attack didn't even scratch him.

Arnark stared forward, noticing the domain of the God of Humanity reappear as a blob of jet-black ink drilled out of the ground and out came Compass Carburettor.

"Even that didn't scratch you? Man, you're tough." Compass Carburettor commented in praise.

"Unless the attack is on my level, it would never affect me…" Arnark retorted when suddenly, his gaze hardened upon staring at the opponent's face, "You…fucker."

"You did that on purpose." He calmed down and stared at the manifestation of the world's laws vanish, "So, this is what a world with both Lore and Tell-Tale can do, huh."

"An attack that would have collapsed the foundation of another world was simply written off here."

"Bingo," Compass Carburettor grinned, "The first attack causes the most destruction. Now that the laws are aware of such destructive means, they are better equipped to deal with it."

"It's a sort of training."

'He's using our fight to raise the immune system of this world.' Arnark frowned, 'This bastard! He's making things difficult for me.'

Even if Arnark were to win here, all he would obtain would be a copy of Lore and Tell-Tale. He would face difficulties if he wished to fully extract them out of this world, as was his original purpose.

He wished to be the sole possessor of the ultimate power. But Compass Carburettor's attack was training the laws created by Lore and Tell-Tale to become better equipped and efficient in dealing with attacks that would throw off their foundation.

The more this happens, the harsher Arnark's difficulty in extracting the two powers. He wouldn't be content in getting Lore and Tell-Tale as a prize by the world. No, even if they were Lore and Tell-Tale, he would only be gaining a part of that power.

They would be insufficient to devour this world. Or rather, his attempts would further fuel the growth of Lore and Tell-Tale in better managing this world.

'Win or lose, he intends my rewards to be a mockery!' This was what pissed off Arnark, 'I didn't fucking wager Lore to only get a second-hand copy of the same!'

"You must be smart of your plan, huh?" Arnark glared at Compass Carburettor, "Unfortunately for you, I'll win."

"And when I do, I'll strip this world of Lore and Tell-Tale and not even leave a fragment of them behind."

'I was waiting for you to say that.' Smiling in response, Compass Carburettor stared at the Saint representing Yedu, as if to say, 'The proof is before your eyes now.'

"I see, so that's the true face of the God King." Yedu sighed in disappointment as it commanded its believers. The other four divine beasts too did the same as immediately, all the followers of the Beast God prayed towards him, unleashing the Curse of Faith in full power.

"Fool, slaughter the humans now." Arnark said and snapped his finger, commanding the Beast God, aware that he had sent his saint to witness this fight.

The Saint of the Beast God, a peacock, only bowed in response to his gaze, causing Arnark's gaze to widen for a moment before he sighed in disappointment, "Useless until his last damn moment."

That gaze from the Beast God's Saintwas enough for Arnark to understand that the Beast God had been compromised. He could no longer count on his strength.

Upon staring at Compass Carburettor's subtle smile, Arnark cooled down immediately, not even the least affected by the news, "I wasn't counting much on that fence sitter anyway."

He stared at his opponent, snapping his finger to suddenly cause the domain of the God King to expand and cover nine-tenths of the field in an instant and continue to increase, pressuring the domain of the God of Humanity, "Your schemes mean nothing in the end, Compass."

He stared at Compass Carburettor's face scrunching up in the pressure he exerted, smiling, "I'm the Main Character."
