Chapter 165: Nonchalantly Revealing His True Form

“So…are you an alien?” After some time convincing, Grisha finally believed him, asking as she looked at him.

“Well…something like that?” Compass Carburettor tilted his head, “I am not from this world. But species wise, I am still a human.”

“Wait…” He then retracted his statement, smiling wryly, “I’m not a human anymore.”

After all, he was a spirit and a Haggon now. And, his spirit form looked no different to a human. Technically speaking, he was no longer a human.

“Then…” Grisha shuddered, “Did I make out with a creature that’s not human?”

Goosebumps formed on her skin as she shuddered, for a moment distancing herself from him.

“Let’s set aside the technicalities,” Compass Carburettor snapped his finger, causing his Anthozoa to vanish as he spoke, “I came here for…some reasons. And, I know for a fact that this world would face an apocalypse.”

“I-Is this true?” Grisha was shocked, trembling as she looked at him, “And, what’s your objective for coming here?”

Compass Carburettor silently observed her for a moment, sensing the Mental Energy streams she emitted, saying, “My goal is to protect a certain someone from harm.”

“Is t-that me?” She pointed at herself, thinking of the plot from a popular drama that she watched.

“Nope,” Contrary to her expectations, Compass Carburettor directly shattered her thoughts of a blooming drama, “If you hadn’t approached me, I wouldn’t have known about you. The one I’m supposed to protect is a college youth. Though at present, I have yet to meet him.”

“Them, why were you working?” She asked, “That isn’t necessary for your objective, right?”

Compass Carburettor stared at her for a moment before bursting into laughter, “I still need to eat and sleep, just like every human. Your café provides me food and money for my work while in the Champion Internet Café, I can earn money for my living expenses while surfing through the internet for details related to the apocalypse.”

“That’s it?” She was shocked.

“What else did you expect?” He laughed, “Remember that I don’t even have an ID. So, I can only work on such low-paying jobs.”

“I thought as an alien…you would be…like terrifying or something.” Grisha massaged her forehead as she slumped on the sofa. She then firmed herself, saying, “Then, please train me. If what you said is the truth, then once the society turns chaotic, I can only rely on myself to survive, right?”

“I’m fine with that.” Compass Carburettor said before looking around, asking, “By the way, are you the only one living here? In such a large house?”

“Yes,” Grisha nodded, “My mother lives in another house and is constantly on the travel. She has a chain of restaurants, bars, and cafes in four cities. And, most of her business is located in Deison City. So, she doesn’t come here all that much.”

“I see,” Compass Carburettor nodded as he got up from his seat and proceeded towards the living room.

The living room had a ceiling similar to a duplex, with a flight of stairs at the corner leading to the second floor. It created a nice elevation in the house.

But now, this height allowed him to begin his plans freely as he looked at Grisha, “Don’t shout when you see my other form, alright?”

“Would it be grotesque? Like those wriggly big-brained aliens?” Grisha asked as she stepped back, for some reason calming down when she saw him getting irritated.

“Have you played any games?” He asked, thinking, ‘Damn, she can really get into my head.’

“A lot,” Grisha nodded.

“Then, you won’t be scared. My other appearance would look no different to one of those monsters in the games you play.” He replied.

“Like a mob?” She asked, getting a bit excited.

“What the heck…?” Compass Carburettor shook his head, “Girl, why would think I would look like a mob character?”

“Just watch,” He said, laughing, “I’m a boss character.”

He calmly stripped before sitting cross-legged, returning to his Haggon Form, noticing that he was pretty close to the ceiling. If he tried to get up, then his head would touch the ceiling.

A single storey had a ceiling at around three metres. And since the living room had a height of six metres, he would only touch the ceiling when he stands up. That was the reason he even tried to return to his Haggon form here.

“D-Damn!” Grisha was flabbergasted, gazing at his hulking form as she slowly approached his thigh, for a moment thinking of something as she punched him, scowling in pain, “Are you made of steel?”

“Well…something like that.” Compass Carburettor whispered, trying his best to not move suddenly in fear he would squash her. But, even his whisper was pretty loud. Thankfully, Grisha’s house was a villa.

So, there wasn’t a problem if the sounds became a bit louder.

Compass Carburettor pointed at the sofa farther in the living room, saying, “Just sit there and observe. I’ll give you something helpful in the end.”

Maybe it was because she slammed into him countless times or because she remembered him saving her life, Grisha wasn’t actually afraid of him. Rather, all she felt was curiosity. Even she herself was surprised at this notion, for she had no idea that she was this brave. Or maybe, she was just reckless. She didn’t know for sure.

Compass Carburettor habitually placed his hand on his back, grabbing hold of the smallest horn growing there before exerting strength to snap it into two.

His Darlac was expended a bit as the horn regrew completely that he snapped once again. He repeated the process until he had broken five such tiny horns. He then broke a couple of the largest horns that jutted out of his elbow.

Finally, he broke the horn that elongated from his hand, the sharpest of all the horns a Haggon possessed. This was the tool they used to pierce through the tough hide of other Haggons.

Using it, he began to crave some patterns onto the sides of the smallest horn before shaving off the excess, turning it into a handle that could be gripped by human hands. And, a tiny stump peeked out on one side, rectangular in shape, barely a centimetre in height.

Once he finished carving through it completely, the handle shone with a yellowish-white radiance, causing Grisha to stare at the scene in wonder.
