Chapter 301: Battling Two System Hosts (part 1)

Three aircrafts flew at supersonic speeds as Compass Carburettor took action, causing all three to combine and turn into a gigantic aircraft.

"Who the heck are you?" The teenager, Jionerd, Host to the Young Master System shouted in alarm as he noticed the rapid panning of the scenery below, realising how rapidly the vehicle he was trapped within moved.

"Stop this nonsense and attack him!" Zach, Host to the Reality Marble System shouted, activating his ability as he enveloped the space within the massive aircraft with his domain. This time, he didn't use the nature's surroundings to camouflage reality, but directly altered the scene, changing it into a waterfall.

And now, they were positioned at the bottom of the said waterfall, one that was in no way inferior to the Niagara Falls. It wasn't an illusion but seemed as if the space within the aircraft had been warped and within which this scene was inserted.

As Compass Carburettor was busy bringing the two System Hosts away from the rest of the System Hosts, it gave them enough time to prepare.

His intention was to continue making the massive aircraft fly in the air.

This way, it would be hard for the Elf to intercept his position while they were battling. After all, he planned to fight two System Hosts this time. He had only one chance to use Dwun, so he had to make it count.

As Zach activated Reality Marble, Compass Carburettor found himself at the bottom of the rainfall, hurriedly shielding himself with Body Layer—a second coating made using Darlac that was layered over his Mental Energy layer.

The Mental Energy Body Layer was his only manner of defence against System Abilities. But, upon seeing the water from the waterfall still affecting him, Compass Carburettor realised, 'I see, so he freaking fragmented reality to create this.'

Since the terrain itself had been permanently altered, he wasn't able to do anything. After all, he hadn't been the target of said ability, but his surroundings. 'So, Mental Energy Body Layer has such a weakness.'

He was using quite a lot of Mental Energy in maintaining the massive aircraft at supersonic speeds, so Compass Carburettor had to hurry with the battle and finish his opponents fast.

'First, I have to deal with the Young Master System Host, Jionerd. He has less Mental Energy as compared to Zach.' Thinking as such, Compass Carburettor condensed a propeller that shot him out of the pool of water.

He quickly flew towards Jionerd, seeing the other party smile at him in return as his figure crumbled into marble and vanished.

Compass Carburettor activated both the abilities, sensing the actual position of Jionerd that had been hidden by the terrain. Condensing his wings, he shot out hundreds of feathers at the directed spot, destroying a massive rock that was hanging by the side of the waterfall, blasting it open.

"Ack!" Jionerd shouted in fluster as he hurriedly summoned a maid that grabbed hold of him and spun in the air, shooting a grappling hook towards the top that she reeled forth, pulling him up.

As countless feathers homed in on him, she spun him in the air before sending him flying away, deftly using the rebound to fly towards the feathers, getting absolutely shredded.

A second later, the same maid appeared near Jionerd, performing the same action once again, bringing him to safety after dying five times.

"Oh…sh*t!" Jionerd had just landed on a large piece of rock that was situated upstream, at the edge of the falls when he turned around in a hurry, noticing the sky become blanketed by a hail of feathers that swarmed him, "Zach!"

Suddenly, there was a powerful wave upstream as a large piece of rock appeared behind Jionerd, acting as a raft over which the wave spilt over like a tide, blocking and washing away all the incoming arrows since it turned into a continuous stream.

Even though the feathers exploded one after another, the range of explosions failed to reach him in the end.

"Get him!" Upon seeing the mysterious entity that resembled night in the air, Jionerd shouted as countless boats appeared on the water surface, filled with men that held a variety of guns, unloading fire onto Compass Carburettor immediately.

Compass Carburettor activated Mecha, causing the tiny energy blade scales that formed on him to fly out and form a tough defensive wall, blocking all the bullets. Suddenly, three Spydragons appeared beside him that rapidly flew towards the shooting group, dodging the hail of bullets that came their way.

One of the Spydragons arrived before a boat when its size instantly expanded to a length of ten metres when it opened its mouth, unleashing an energy blade a hundred metres long, skewering dozens of men and boats with a single attack.

The other Spydragons too did the same, decimating the entire group with a couple of rounds of attacks, causing Jionerd to grit his teeth as he snapped his finger in anger, causing a cruise boat to appear.

And this time, onboard it was two men clad in tactical suits that locked eyesight with the figure in the air before taking out a rocket launcher from their pockets, sending it blazing out.

"Damn!" Compass Carburettor sent out more feathers that slammed into the missile, exploding to detonate it prematurely, preventing himself from getting caught within the blast radius. Just the shockwaves from the explosion rocketed the cruise boat.

Compass Carburettor had barely managed to defend against the round of explosives when he heard gurgling sounds from above, gazing up as he saw a massive stream of water gushing towards him, "This bastard created a freaking waterfall in the sky!"

The massive column of water slammed into him, washing him towards the depths. The gears in his mind spun as the energy blade scales of Mecha constructed an aerodynamic structure around him, allowing the water to glide over him while giving him minimal resistance.

Using the chance, he constructed underwater turbines that allowed him to row upstream and quickly escape the range of the column of water before unleashing a hail of feathers.

"This guy is persistent! Zack! Do something!" Jionerd shouted, "I can't use my trump card in this situation!"
