Chapter 310: Compass Vs Krager (part 2)

There were the afterimages of a certain mongoose that made a myriad of poses, most of which were just taunts. The hail of feathers continued to chase after it, failing to land on it as the mongoose was just that fast.

Compass Carburettor turned around from time to time, defending as gashes formed all over the jet-black curtain that covered him. He immediately regenerated it while trying to attack his opponent. He continued to gather power while accurately knowing the mongoose's location through Directional Misalignment, activating it right when a chance presented itself.

Suddenly, before it was aware, the mongoose's body changed directions, rushing into the hail of feathers on its own.

Boom!

The feathers pierced through its body before exploding, leaving the mongoose in a half-dead state when the Dust Wave did the rest of the work, disintegrating it into bits.

Roar!

A bipedal monster that resembled a monkey appeared. But, this creature's body was covered with armour resembling a turtle. Spanning a height of five metres and sporting four horns, it was filled with power.

The monkey glared at Compass Carburettor, clenching its hand into a fist as it slammed into him.

Compass Carburettor raised his hand, condensing an energy blade hand to grab the giant monkey's fist, creating a resounding explosion. Compass Carburettor then punched forth with his other hand as an energy blade fist manifested and expanded to a length of ten metres instantly, transferring all the power into the giant monkey's face, sending it reeling into the walls of the mountain.

Hovering in the air, Compass Carburettor rained down punches with his energy blade fists, also imbuing them with the trait of the Apocalypse Pearl to make the hits heavy. Rocks fell from the impact as the giant monkey screeched from time to time, throwing punches of its own.

But, all they did was land on the energy blade that Compass Carburettor deactivated at the moment of contact, preventing any momentum from being transferred over to him. This was the peerless advantage in reaching Transcendence.

The level of control attained negated all the disadvantages of the Darble World's power system.

Boom! Boom!

As he continued to punch, Compass Carburettor noticed the giant monkey's figure vanish as a worm appeared at the place, easily slithering out through the gaps as it entered the water.

Immediately after, there was a flash of light, almost blinding him as a turtle appeared, spanning a size of 20 metres. It was freaking massive, resembling a small island.

"A turtle?" Even Compass Carburettor was confused as to why Krager had turned into such a creature. After all, a simple glance was enough for him to understand that despite possessing a stronger presence than the giant monkey, this was in essence still a turtle, slow in nature.

"Heh! This will be your death!" The turtle opened its mouth and spoke in human tongue as the burst element fluctuated out of it in waves, coursing throughout the Reality Marble. But other than that, it didn't do anything else.

"Aargh!" Suddenly, Compass Carburettor shouted in pain as something abruptly sent him flying, immediately causing him severe damage as his Body Layer shattered. He hurriedly regenerated it, using Directional Misalignment on himself to arrive at a standstill in the air, frowning as he used Info Scanner, understanding the turtle's ability.

Static Force!

It unleashed a wave that filled the surroundings with the burst element. This burst element was unlike a particle but a true wave. And, it didn't take any effect on stationary objects.

In every area, a tremendous amount of force would be condensed. It was like all the kinetic energy in nature was absorbed to turn things static. After all, the moment this wave was unleashed, Compass Carburettor sensed through Directional Misalignment that even the air itself had turned still.

There was no more Brownian motion in it.

This was what Static Force did. It stored all the kinetic energy in nature, turning it into potential energy. And, when something moved within the space of its existence, it transferred all the potential energy into the moving object after turning it into kinetic energy.

It was transmitted as an impulse, shattering any object that came into contact.

After the turtle had unleashed the wave, the wings of Compass Carburettor had flapped to keep him in the air when the Static Force was triggered, instantly sending enough Kinetic Energy in him that it destroyed his body.

Within a second, he died, turned into a Haggon, instantly turned into a human, and repeated this process three more times. Only when the Static Force in his surroundings had been expended did this stop as Compass Carburettor grunted in human form, reeling from the insane pain that coursed through his nerves from the four deaths.

In an instant, Krager's trump card had killed him four times. Had he not possessed the means to cheat death by turning into a Haggon whenever his human—Spirit—form was killed, he would have died by now.

'As expected, he's grown stronger. This world is perfect for the Beast Form System.' He thought, hurriedly erecting more defences around himself as he used Reality Marble, causing lighting bolts to slam into the turtle.

That was what he had hoped to happen. But in reality, when the bolt of lightning struck, the Static Force was triggered. And, throughout its route, the Static Force attacked it, breaking down the lightning bolt into pieces before dissipating it entirely.

"Alright, if you wish to make it a contest of energy, you're on board!" Compass Carburettor muttered as the number of lightning bolts increased in number. The turtle continued to unleash waves of Static Force while he slammed lightning bolts on it.

And in the meantime, the temperature of the water slowly began to increase, causing discomfort to the turtle before soon, its body began to turn a shade of pink upon getting heated up.

The number of lightning bolts continued to increase in number until the Static Force was unable to catch up, as soon after, the first lightning bolt landed on the turtle, causing it to scream in pain. Though, it quickly recovered from that thanks to its healing ability.

But, that was just the start of a war of attrition.
