Chapter 361: Rapid Preparations

‘There’s no other use in having Helk here.’ Compass Carburettor thought, watching the two Claw Wolves pounce upon the two bandits and devour them easily after.

And right when they planned to attack him next, he killed them, fully erasing all traces of them with the Dust Wave.

“Right, I should take all the materials from his place…” He had just spoken when his heart thumped once again. And this time, his Anthozoa, Secret Society, and Dimensional Space all pulsed erratically, warning him.

“W-What the heck is happening now?” Compass Carburettor was alarmed, thinking that the Systems from the Luck genre were already targeting him.

“No, it’s not that…ugh.” He suddenly grunted in pain, noticing that his abilities were slowly beginning to be suppressed.

“I see…” He understood soon after, “There’s a chance I can kill them using my new abilities. So, they are taking action to seal my strength. This is troubling.”

‘But, can they use their abilities while mine are sealed?’ He was worried about this point. If that was indeed the case, then he would die, no doubt about that.

After all, if the Coincidental Luck System targeted him, then he would have to use the entirety of his power just to prolong his life. When he’s further nerfed, it would be impossible to survive for even a day.

‘Wait, there’s one way I can determine it.’ Thinking as such, Compass Carburettor hurriedly exited the ruins, picking a strong Origin Beast as he faced his hand towards it, unleashing the System Punishment, “Ugh!”

He grunted in pain, feeling like his abilities were stuck, causing them to move slower than usual. His System Punishment was only half as strong as before, with its strength continuing to drop continuously.

But, he didn’t despair upon seeing that. But rather, there was a small smile on his face, ‘System based abilities would also be sealed now. That’s good actually.’

In the eyes of the Systems, he, as the Main Character fragment was too dangerous to confront head-on while he had all his abilities. Hence, they had taken such an action.

But in his eyes, the situation was different. Even if he had become the Main Character fragment fully and had regained his expended innate luck, that didn’t mean much when facing the Coincidental Luck System.

Who was he kidding?

Him, against a Level 92 System that controlled the domains of luck and coincidence? Fat chance!

It was especially since Compass Carburettor had understood the frightening ways Coincidental Luck can be used upon. There’s no way he would be able to survive against something like that.

But now that all System Abilities too are being sealed, it eased his mind a little, ‘I have a fighting chance.’

“But,” He frowned, ‘Until when would this seal exist? How far does it encompass? How many Systems are coming after me? Is it like what I had feared? Are all Systems from the Luck Genre coming after me?’

He shook his head, noticing his abilities being sealed slowly. As System Punishment was something like the innate control the Systems had inserted in a world, it meant that if even that was getting sealed, whether it was System Fragments, Personal Fragments, Skills, or Core Skills, none would work.

Compass Carburettor then used his energy blade, noticing that it wasn’t affected much yet. But, there was a minor drop in power.

“That means, I won’t be able to use Dimensional Space too…” He gritted his teeth, worrying as he looked at the figure of Stencil before thinking of a plan.

Immediately, he took out the embroidered spatial pouch, filling it with all the Essence Stones he would ever need for his cultivation, followed by a variety of materials and some interesting items he had taken from the ruins.

He went on a collection spree, placing everything from the ruins in his Dimensional Space. He quickly informed Grisha and Gana, asking what they would do.

“My Lord, I’ll stay here and take care of Stencil.” Gana said, “I’ll ensure that her cultivation continues to climb without any problems. With the Earth Divine Martial Spirit helping her, it won’t be a problem. There’s also a lot of the collected Earth Martial Spirits here. That would strengthen her Martial Spirit.”

“Thank you,” Compass Carburettor nodded before gazing at Grisha, “What will you do?”

“I’ll fight, of course.” Grisha said, “That’s why I picked the Space Ape Martial Spirit. With my help, we can both fight and run away from things.”

Immediately after that, Grisha entered the Dimensional Space as she condensed the portal to a cultivator roaming through the market in Gaoan City, arriving there as Compass Carburettor used her as the node to follow right after.

She then went around, emptying the market of every herb there was, including a bunch of pill recipes.

Compass Carburettor also layered the ground in the Dimensional Space with a thick layer of soil, planting lots and lots of trees there, also creating large ponds of freshwater. He made the place liveable for Gana and Stencil.

“Don’t worry about anything and just focus on surviving.” Dota said, “I can feel that this seal would even cut off our connection. But, it’s just a seal. There won’t be any harm to the Dimensional Space. And, I’ll still be able to sense you. Only you won’t be able to sense me or this Dimensional Space.”

“I’ll ensure nothing happens to these two.” It assured him, lacking any semblance of it being a newborn. “Also, my corpse is still here. In this time, I’ll work on fusing it into your Anthozoa.”

“Thank you.” Compass Carburettor sighed in relief as he double-checked, ensuring there was enough food stocked up in the Dimensional Space, plants that grew and produced food, a massive stock of pills to supplement food, etc.

Thanks to the wealth of Essence Stones he obtained from the ruins, he was able to do this. All Ranze obtained were the sealed Trash Divine Spirits and the smallest spatial bag with Essence Stones.

He grabbed the rest as he and Grisha went around from one city’s market to another, emptying the place of every valuable.

Compass Carburettor began to make preparations, feeling his powers getting more and more sealed as time passed. Once everything was completed, he grabbed two Origin Beasts, placed them in a discrete part of the city, and made Grisha watch over them while he entered the auction house, entering the room where Old Zen was seated, shocking him.

After all, he was currently covered by his Mental Energy Body Layer, appearing terrifying in the eyes of the other party, so much so that his knees went weak.

Immediately after, Compass Carburettor began his acting, retracting his Mental Energy Body Layer as he heaved a long sigh in relief, “Friend, I must leave.”
