Chapter 395: Carrying a Clan

In the room with stacks of papers everywhere, Compass Carburettor finished reading the day’s events, surprised upon seeing information related to Chenger in the end, “Chenger’s organisation is kidnapping the parents of geniuses from powerful Clans to blackmail these Clans to move against me…”

“A fair execution I must say.” Compass Carburettor raised his brow but didn’t put much thought into it beyond that. If it was said that Chenger’s plans were using external resources, then Compass Carburettor’s plans made use of internal resources.

Two people among her organisation had already become Sleeper Cells. They were transmitting details regarding everything Chenger did through the sleeper cell network.

If he wished, he could use Grisha and directly arrive at Dlon City and create a bunch of Sleeper Cells there. But, he was still guarded against Chenger’s innate luck. If she stumbled upon his plans through luck, everything would fall short.

Instead, he just allowed things to fall into place naturally. He won’t move from his position and only make sleeper cells based on those that take his services. This was a contest of luck after all. And luck was something that involved uncertainity.

Therefore, his goal was only to raise the level of certainty around himself. That way, when Chenger enters his territory, she wouldn’t be able to depend on unforeseen variables, as all variables would be something he had accounted for.

But, heading to Dlon city was just committing suicide. It was because he was entering the enemy’s territory that was full of uncertainties.

The Restriction Order sealed all System related abilities. And since the luck-based Systems had entered this world despite that, he was damn sure that had made plenty of preparations accordingly.

So, he would first probe Chenger and take action only when he’s assured of his victory of if a chance presented itself.

After all, even someone with heaven defying luck would die a dog’s death if he had a swirl of poop in place of a brain.

In a lot of stories, when the main character acted arrogant due to his luck, karma bit him eventually. But, that didn’t cause his death as either his companion, mom, dad, brother, or childhood friend would sacrifice their lives in place of him, saving him for his blunder.

Even though he would survive that incident, he would lose a loved one.

And, Compass Carburettor didn’t wish to become a tragic character. He didn’t wish to lose the sole person he cared about.

And hence, he didn’t like to risk his life. He’ll only continue growing stronger while casting a net to trap the System Hosts.

That way, he’ll be able to exercise his advantage the best.

Once he had gone through the information, Compass Carburettor placed the sheet of paper in a folder that was neatly labelled and stored it within his storage bracelet. This way, he would be able to analyse the plans of Chenger and any other System Hosts with greater clarity, able to backtrack their every single action.

“Doctor, an Elder from the Opposition Clan requests for your presence.” Once he exited the room and began to head towards his house, a staff arrived, stating a meeting.

“Alright, I’ll be there in a minute.” Compass Carburettor sighed, understanding what the other party might need, arriving at an open yard where he took in a deep breath of the night’s fresh air before heading towards the guest room.

“Doctor, I hope to breakthrough to the Martial Providence Stage tonight but I’m not feeling confident enough.” Inpah, the younger brother of Into said.

“Please lay down and close your eyes.” Compass Carburettor said, putting on his demeanour as he set aside his mask upon Inpah’s request.

The mask was just a deer’s face, emitting a peaceful sensation. That was why all the patients calmed down automatically after seeing him.

But for those that had seen his face before, they wished for him to set aside his mask while treating them. It was a weird request, but Compass Carburettor fulfilled them. ‘Maybe they can instinctively sense the purpose for me donning this mask.’

The Coincidental Luck System was a deer, the Destiny Luck system was a fawn, while the Happy-Go-Lucky System was a newborn deer.

And based on the information he obtained from the other Systems, it seemed all Luck based Systems had an appearance resembling a Deer.

So, he wore such a mask, just to surround himself with another veil of complexity that might confuse the System Hosts or make them suspect of a traitor. And if they were to aim for Straxia, it’ll be the best outcome for him.

Anyway, that was just a throwaway plan that he used just in case if it proved useful.

Slowly, he began to treat Inpah, giving this Elder of the Opposition Clan enough confidence and mental faculty to achieve a successful breakthrough to the Martial Providence Stage.

“Thank you, Doctor!” Inpah thanked profusely, feeling overjoyed and confident as he went away hurriedly, planning to attempt a breakthrough before he slipped from his optimal condition.

Though, Compass Carburettor didn’t even get any time to rest when Illeto, Ranze’s father arrived, stating the same request as his two elder brothers.

It seemed all three of them planned to break through at the same time, for some reason intending to take equal chances with the three Providence Pills in their possession.

Right as Illeto walked away, Mella arrived next, surprising Compass Carburettor as he asked, “Aunty, are you planning to attempt a breakthrough too?”

“Yes,” Mella smiled, “Thanks to you, I’ve attained multiple enlightenment in the past three years. I feel like I have a fair shot even without the aid of a Providence Pill. Can you help me with the rest?”

“Of course!” Compass Carburettor smiled in response, repeating the same process once again, noticing Mella’s eyes widen in surprise.

“Indeed, you’re awesome.” Mella said truthfully, in admiration, “I’ve never seen a youngster as accomplished as you.”

“Aunty, can you warn the Elders to breakthrough in the cultivation room after sending away everyone else?” Compass Carburettor said in seriousness all of a sudden, “It might be for the best to not reveal the information that so many succeeded in a breakthrough overnight. That would just cause the other forces to investigate your secrets and aim for it to profit.”

Mella’s eyes widened before suddenly, it seemed like she was enlightened as her Origin Essence spiked instantly. Immediately, the figures of Into, Inpah, and Illeto arrived at the entrance, having been waiting until everyone suitable for a breakthrough in their Clan to be ready.

But when Mella’s aura climbed up all of a sudden, they were shocked. For…

Her breakthrough had arrived naturally.
