Chapter 401: Entering the Folkan Secret Realm
“I’m Xuer, pleased to meet you.” Xuer cupped her fists, greeting both the Blazing Sun Clan Leader and his granddaughter.
“Likewise, I’m Bunuela.” Bunuela cupped his fists in response, asking, “Do you have the Ice Crane Martial Spirit?”
“Yep.” Xuer nodded.
“I’ll find you once we enter the Secret Realm, then,” Bunuela said, turning silent after that.
“Well, let’s leave the discussions to the youngsters and wait here patiently, shall we?” The Blazing Sun Clan Leader said, taking out some materials from his spatial pouch as he set up a large house instantly, “I brought this to not be bored for our three months of stay. Why don’t you join me for a game of cards, Giant Whale Sect Leader?”
“It would be my honour.” The Giant Whale Sect Leader cupped his fists in response. They didn’t immediately head inside to spend time though, having more than enough time once the Secret Realm opened.
At present, they planned to ensure their youngsters entered the Secret Realm safely.
The reason the powerhouses had arrived here was to protect their younger generation from harm against the malicious intent of competing powers. After all, this was the best time to assassinate the talents of rivalling powers.
So, the air in the region was pretty tense. Every powerhouse arrived with a group of experts meant to take care of the younger generation and do any miscellaneous tasks in the upcoming three months.
After all, none of them had any plans to budge from the place until the Secret Realm closes. Moreover, in case a commoner happened to obtain a priceless treasure, they must be ready to snatch it first and defend themselves accordingly while rushing towards their Sect/Clan.
So, every Clan or Sect had dispatched two powerhouses each to transport the younger generation. Though, the Blazing Sun Clan was the only exception, sending just one.
But, that was more than enough. After all, said powerhouse was touted to be the strongest in the Gaider Realm, a peak Martial Providence Stage cultivator with a Heaven Martial Spirit.
He could casually suppress all Martial Providence Stage cultivators using the suppression brought by his higher Tiered Martial Spirit. Besides, none had the balls to even dare aim for his descendants.
After all, if the Blazing Sun Clan desired, they had enough capability to wipe out any Clan or Sect in the Gaider Realm.
Boom!
As everyone began to size up their rivalling powers, there was a thunderous sound, followed by a wave of Origin Essence, instantly enlivening the expression of every cultivator and mortal present here.
“Be calm, and seize your desires, Xuer.” The Giant Whale Sect Master said in all seriousness, patting her head, “And no matter what, don’t die.”
“Yes, Sect Leader.” Xuer nodded before proceeding to descend the cliff with her Sect members. She was their leading party, with everyone pretty much handpicked by her.
After all, in the past three years, Xuer wasn’t just honing her strength but was also networking with everyone in the Sect. She trained some Sect members who were loyal to her. And now, she had only brought in those that she trusted with her back.
As for the Sect members, they were loyal to her for a variety of reasons. There was the fact of her treating them well, saving their lives during missions, etc.
And another more important reason was that Xuer was pretty much the uncontested future Sect Master of the Giant Whale Sect. And that meant that those closest to her would eventually become Elders of the Giant Whale Sect once she becomes the Sect Master.
“We’ll be split once we enter the Secret Realm,” Xuer said to them all. “I’ll be leaving the discussed markers at some observable places. If you see that, you’ll know where to group up next.”
“If you chance upon any treasure, don’t jump towards them instinctively. Greed would be the death of you. First, take a deep breath, calm down, observe if there are any foes around you and only then can you pocket those treasures, got it?” She said, nodding upon seeing everyone respond with vigour, slowly approaching the massive gates that were opening.
“It’s finally starting.” A youth muttered, controlling his excitement as he gazed at a hooded figure next to him, “Master, are you sure that man would be here?”
“He will.” The hooded figure nodded, “I’m sure of that.”
The hooded figure scanned through the crowd, failing to find their target, frowning subtly.
At the same time, there was a girl sporting some scars on her face, appearing rough and unrefined. But, she emanated an aura of dominance and viciousness, causing the air around her to feel viscous for some reason.
And following her were more than forty people, all brimming with an explosive aura. She was Chenger, sauntering towards the opening gates.
And upon seeing her figure, the expressions of countless participants frowned as some of them bit their lips in anger. They were the victims whose family members had been captured by her as bargaining chips to force their hands.
“It’s open!” Suddenly, someone shouted as the doors leading to the Secret Realm rumbled to a stop, causing the swirling energy within it to stabilise, highlighting an open patch of meadow, unobstructed by anything else.
“Charge!” It was unknown as to who shouted that but it ignited the fervour of everyone, causing cultivators and mortals alike to charge towards the entrance in frenzy.
There were some clumsy people among the crowd that tripped, falling to the ground. There was no doubt about their fate as they became painting on the ground under the stampede.
Slowly marching forth was Grisha, accompanied by her orderly Sect members like they were soldiers part of an army. Each of their steps was perfectly aligned, their level of discipline shocking the crowd of powerhouses that had been observing everyone.
“It seems a lot of hidden powers have surfaced once again.” The Blazing Sun Clan Leader uttered.
“This is pretty chaotic,” Ranze murmured, covering his face as he entered the Secret Realm.
“…” Compass Carburettor walked alone, fully covered from top to bottom, with his deer mask the only visible thing. He didn’t accelerate like the others but slowly walked, extending his hand as he touched the filament forming the entrance to the Secret Realm, his body language a bit sullen as he slowly passed through it, vanishing from the spot.
