Chapter 740: Level 99 System Slayer
“W-Who the heck are you? Why are you doing this?” A man screamed in horror, intending to summon the entirety of his mana to unleash the strongest of his attacks at the group before him.
But unfortunately for him, irrespective of how strong he willed it, his mana failed to budge. Rather, it was constantly being drained away.
Veins popped on his face, highlighting his mildly bulging eyes as he glared at the burgundy-haired lady before him, “You bitch! You better kill me now. Or else, I’ll haunt you forever and be the death of you.”
“Wow, how cute.” Stencil smiled before eyeing Gehera, “Do you want to steal some power from this kid? The one in him is the Titan System.”
“No,” Gehera shook her head, “My Ruin of Amagoth can only target one person at a time. Currently, I’m still siphoning Slayer’s power. It’s not worth it to change targets to someone this weak as every single Magic Beast forming in my Ruin of Amagoth is terrifyingly powerful. Slayer’s power seems almost infinite to be honest.”
“You needn’t explain that much, you know.” Stencil nodded before staring at the man before her, “So, there you have it. Be a good child and stay silent, alright?”
“What…” The man intended to resist but was afraid when words failed to come out of his mouth. Only then did he notice the youth standing beside the two ladies, calm and silent from the start. ‘Who is this guy?’
A mere glance at the youth and he could feel something in the very depths of his being shudder in response, startling him to the limit.
“The Aero Society is damn quick,” Stencil muttered while gazing at the youth, Aronaut, who had assumed the current appearance.
“Of course…” Aronaut said, watching a dozen people teleport behind him. They were all part of Aero Society, having gained some influence and access to the Relic.
Captive with each of them was a System Host that they had captured, all possessing Systems at the thirties in level. A few hours later, even more came, holding Hosts whose Systems were in the forties.
Finally, there arrived three of the strongest veterans among the Aero Society, having captured Systems that were beyond level fifty.
“They are all yours, Stencil.” Aronaut said, “We’ve captured pretty much all the Systems in this world. We’re running pretty low on Mental Energy though, for these ceaseless scouting, battling, and transport over the past two months were too energy-draining.”
He then expressed his apprehensiveness on the matter, “If your plan fails, we’ll be in danger the moment we encounter a problem.”
“It’s fine.” Stencil smiled, staring at the group of System Hosts before her, “There’s plenty of Menta Energy stored in them. Moreover,”
She took out a choker and placed it on the neck of the weakest System Host, causing him to scream in pain the moment faint electric arcs streamed out of it.
The electric arcs dug into his body and seemed to spear through his System, doing something to it. Stencil stared at the scene as her gaze gradually hardened, almost to a vicious level, causing Gehera to shudder the moment she glanced at the other party.
Following that, she faced elsewhere, closing her eyes to focus on her Ruin of Amagoth instead, familiarising herself with her newfound powers better.
Boom!
A rush of Mental Energy swerved into Stencil from the System Host as his body seemed to be on the verge of disintegrating, for cracks had begun to form already.
The reason stemmed from Stencil forcibly extracting all of the System’s Mental Energy. And she wasn’t doing this by controlling the System but by deconstructing it.
Elemental System (Level 28)!
Elemental System (Level 27)!
“What the…?” Aronaut was shocked as he stared at the scene, muttering in disbelief, “This is possible?”
“Secret Refiner System,” Stencil said calmly, “That’s my creation, one that allows me to do this.”
After controlling the opponent’s System, using the power of Happy-Go-Lucky Luck, she directed the refinement power of the Secret Refiner System, reverse refining the System to break its foundation little by little and absorb all the Mental Energy generated from the same.
To go from Level 1 to Level 2, a System required 200,000 Mental Energy. And this Mental Energy had to correlate with its nature—Core Skill. Typically, it took a System twenty years on average to accumulate 100,000 Mental Energy.
The figure varied based on the grade of the World, the System’s investment, and the variables at play that garnered the attention of people on the Host.
From Level 2 to Level 3 required 300,000 Mental Energy, so on and so forth. This Mental Energy would either be stored like a battery by the System or used into raising the level of its Core Skill, which meant its own level up.
So by breaking down its foundation, Stencil was making the System’s levels regress, obtaining a tremendous level of Mental Energy as a result. Though it wasn’t perfect, leading to some Mental Energy wastage, she was still earning more than enough to make up for the losses.
After all, just by deconstructing one System, Stencil obtained ten times the Mental Energy that the Aero Society had spent in the past two months capturing the System Hosts. And it was just the weakest System Host among the ones they captured.
Elemental System (Level 1)!
Stencil smiled upon noticing the Mental Energy stream stop pouring into her, making her feel bloated. The amount she had broken down was a whopping 40,500,000 Mental Energy. Around 300,000 Mental Energy of that was lost during the breakdown process, but the remaining 40,200,000 was still insane.
Stencil casually consumed them, jumping to level 27 in an instant, observing her power grow by leaps and bounds. “Hah…”
She then began to do the same to the next System Host, this time passing on all the obtained Mental Energy to Aronaut to be stored in the Relic that now camouflaged itself as his earring.
Following that, she began to divide the Mental Energy obtained between her and Aero Society, quickly levelling up rapidly as by the time she approached the Systems in the late forties, Stencil had attained the peak.
System Slayer—Level 99!
