I Hate Systems

Chapter 811 Countdown: Ten To One

Chapter 811 Countdown: Ten To One

Ten!

"Apocalypse! He's using your powers against us! Stop it!" The Regression System bellowed in alarm and hurriedly began to control the timeline of the viruses, immediately noticing a crutch to the issue at hand.

Its power flowed into the viruses and forced their proliferation to regress, causing their numbers to quell before there was only the parent virus cell.

Boom!

It didn't have much time to focus on this issue at hand as Immortal smacked it away, causing its power over the virus-cell to weaken, sparking its proliferation once again, making the Invader System thrash around in pain.

"Stall Immortal for a second!" Shouting in response, Regression evaded a sword slash and guarded against a palm strike, watching all the Grade 3 Systems throw themselves onto Immortal to stall him for a second.

Using this chance, it churned its power, causing the virus-cell to regress as it made minor changes, reversing the Scroll's core and exterior.

As it was created using the Invader System's Mental Fragments, the moment its core and exterior were reversed, it was now akin to a virus created by the Invader System.

And the target?

Arnark!

"Damn you, Compass!" Arnark clearly understood the cause behind this. The fastest way to solve this issue wasn't to regress the virus-cell until its Secret Society member's birth. Another one would be created again, especially since he was relying upon the Main Character System fragment, something whose long history wasn't easy to regress, not normally, and even more impossible in this situation.

Nine!

And hence, the Regression System reversed the scales. Now, the virus-cell obeyed the Invader System's command, and through the cell, and the Invader System's power, it invaded the Main Character System.

The Main Character System fragment forming the exterior of the virus-cell was now the cause through which Arnark was affected.

This was the best method to restrain the rampant Arnark. And of course, when Compass Carburettor created the chance, the Regression System had no other choice but to take the bait, as it was that powerful of a bait.

And with this, the virus began to proliferate in Arnark's body, causing him to grunt in response before recalling all the Main Characters. Combined, his power grew to a level equivalent to late two hundreds, almost hitting the peak.

Main Character Core Skill—Plot Armour (Level 92)!

Main Character Core Skill—Restriction Order (Level 92)!

For a moment, the Invader System was unable to use its power as the virus-cell reverted its attack, beginning to spread in its body once again.

Eight!

"Shit!" The Regression System cursed in response, unleashing a dozen attacks in a single moment to push away Immortal, alarmed upon seeing its attack being less effective as compared to a few seconds ago.

It then targeted the virus-cell once again and made it invade Arnark and proliferate through him. Both Arnark and the Invader System became embroiled in a conflict of dominance over the virus-cell while the fight between Regression and Immortal intensified.

The Tell-Tale System began to churn attacks at Immortal while its two bodyguards had no other choice but to join the battle, still maintaining their distance to protect the Tell-Tale System while hurling attacks.

Upon seeing that Arnark was able to last for a few seconds, Slayer shouted at Mascot and Magister, "Quick! Destroy that Realm!"

Seven!

"This fate…" Mascot muttered, becoming indecisive as she said, "It might be to our benefit…"

"Do you not care if we lose Arnark then?" Slayer shouted in anger, "Oh please, don't come crying later after you leave him dead now."

Six!

"Don't remain indecisive if you don't wish to be erased from history by the Systems!"

Five!

"Screw it!" Magister was the first to grunt as millions of magic circles manifested in the apocalyptic setting, bombarding the Realm with the intent to destroy it.

Four!

"You dare?" Truck-Kun's shout resounded from within as hundreds of trucks burst out of the Realm and slammed into the magic circles and everything they shot out, teleporting them all away as the trucks revolved around the Realm like protective discs.

Three!

"Hmph!" Mascot suddenly flashed right next to the Realm, condensing nuclear energy in her fists to slam into the Realm's entrance, resulting in a terrifying explosion.

Honk!

Followed by the smoke, Mascot stared right through to notice an injured truck driver coughing out blood while staring at her in anger, having personally driven his truck to face her attack that he teleported away.

Though, it seemed even the resultant of the attack was too strong, causing the Realm to fracture before collapsing.

Two!

The eyes of every peak entity trailed upon the figure of Stencil that was quickly brought into a Truck as Gehera lay beside her. The figures of Compass Carburettor and Hazen were missing, causing them to understand that something serious was happening.

Moreover, the sheer volume of fate converging into Stencil was more than enough proof of their actions.

"Two more seconds! Defend for our daughter!" Standing before the tunnel, Compass Carburettor bellowed with all his might, creating as many Invoked Spirits as possible as fumes streamed out of his body, a sign of over-exhaustion.

His body had already begun to crumble bit by bit, the case being the same for all the Secret Society members.

Similarly, hundreds of Hazen's projections exploded, unable to handle the influx of consciousness that burrowed into them and short-circuited their minds.

Hazen's expression was desperate as images regarding Stencil streamed into his mind. Even though he always acted otherwise, he was once Compass Carburettor too and embodied Compass Carburettor's ardent wish for peace, a wish stemming from the desire for Stencil to have a peaceful environment to grow in.

And with the power to govern the mind, Hazen had pretty much experienced the entirety of Compass Carburettor's life. This was why he changed his mind to help Compass Carburettor, not because the other party's life was in danger. He never cared about that. But it was because he sensed that Stencil's life was at risk, the cause that prompted his swift arrival.

"Endure! We're almost there!" Gehera screamed as she focused all her strength on the totem, holding back the power of regression streaming into Stencil.

One!

"Almost…done!" Dota forced itself for the final stretch of the process to fully integrate the power into Stencil.

Upon seeing the last of the fate converge into Stencil, time seemed to have slowed down to a halt as the Regression System sighed, ignoring its face being pummelled into bits by Immortal as it thought, 'Even if I end up being killed by Immortal here, I shouldn't allow Stencil to survive this! She'll strip our authority.'

Suddenly, its eyes widened as monumental power burst out, rupturing the apocalyptic setting and even destroying the blanket of regression it cast over this universe, converging every ounce of its power to mutter solemnly, "Core Skill Manifestation!"

"Infinite Regression!"
