Chapter 19: Their Moment To Shine [2]

'Sadly, Maya won't be participating in the magic power evaluation...

In the original story of the game, Maya had briefly appeared after the first 3 Acts.

Even at that time, she was still an assistant just didn't know she belonged to Noah.

Maya got used by Xander but mostly Amy to accomplish something and was then cast away.'

As Noah was busy looking at Maya, she noticed and flashed a smile at Noah her eyes closed before averting her gaze back at those showcasing their magic power.

Noah briefly smiled a bit and was brought back by professor Sharon who had began talking.

"After hours we have finally concluded the magic power evaluation.

Some of you showcased incredible feats and others not so much."

'The reason why Ravenwood is considered the most hard Academy to get into...and the most brutal...'

Noah thought.

"Alot of you will get expelled if you score below 40% after this evaluation."

Professor Sharon added.

'People never even get a chance to study at all...

The magic power evaluations are what send people off.'

'Reason being...the Academy tends to reduce the numbers to those worthy of accessing the best of the best teachings and information on magic.'

Noah then looked up at the end of the front wall upwards and noticed what seemed like a long rectangular compartment.

To others this would appear as just a design to the building.

'That's the compartment where the other professors, evaluators and even...the school headmaster are watching from.'

Noah muttered to himself as his gaze returned to professor Sharon.

"The results will be received tonight after careful plucking of those who didn't show great or even average magic power."

"If you receive anything below 40% just begin packing your belongings and say goodbye to the academy."

"To add on my statements, only the one chosen to be the Blessed Sage will receive a message..."

"But don't worry, you will all get to see him/her during your first assembly tomorrow..."

"The Blessed Sage will be required to make an announcement..."

"Together with other 4 individuals who have shown immense results.

Those 4 individuals plus the Blessed Sage will be the head students of the first years."

"Also known as the 'Ravenwood's First-year Students Council.'

Understood?..."

"Very well, you're all dismissed...enjoy your time until tomorrow before you officially begin your classes."

With that Professor Sharon left with the students who helped her carry the magic crsytal.

As soon as she left, the room erupted in loud chatters.

Students flocked around Rylan, Ariana and mostly Xander.

Some approached Amy but immediately left when they realised she wasn't up for a chatter.

'Might as well leave...it's their shining moment and them getting recognised as they should...'

Noah thought as he stood up.

"Come on Maya, let's head out..."

"Oh, where to?"

"Do you have any plans for today?"

Maya said taking out her notebook.

"Not really...it's the first day after all...I just don't want to be here."

Noah replied as they stepped out of the hall.

"Understood."

"By the way, you showed great magic power back there..."

Maya stated.

"Oh, it was nothing...just basic beginner magic."

'Hopefully it wasn't too basic...I don't want to get kicked out of the academy.'

Noah said inwardly.

The rest of the day was spent with Noah and Maya going through the Town Center, getting things to add to Noah's room.

Noah offered to buy her things, but Maya would refuse.

Even though Noah knew Noble Personells had more Raven coins than the students, he still offered anyway.

Mostly to try and gain her trust.

The day ended and Noah returned to his room.

He slumped in his bed and let out a loud sigh.

After Maya tidied up, she left after saying, "Goodnight Noah."

Noah responded the same as she left.

There were actually three dormitories.

Students Dormitories that were divided into two.

Each given a name.

The boys dorm was called 'Silverfang Manor.'

And the girls was called 'Starlight Manor.'

Following the dormitories there was an apartment building not far from the students dorms called the Assistants dorms.

Though the name given to it was 'Moonlight Hall.'

This is where the hired maids by the school who took care of the students and dormitories stayed.

On top of that the noble personells also referred to as assistants stayed here as well.

And that was where Maya headed.

While Noah was staring at the ceiling, he suddenly had a beep on his student's watch.

"Oh crap, I forgot about the magic power evaluation results..."

Noah took in deep breaths as he tapped on the watch and the familiar screen took form infront of him.

The usual information was displayed.

Noah tapped on the emails section as it displayed his results.

As soon as Noah finished reading through the message he recieved a notification.

He proceeded to see what had been sent to him.
