I Killed The Main Characters

Chapter 21: The Blessed Sage [2]

Chapter 21: The Blessed Sage [2]

The glances I kept receiving had me on chokehold.

I made my way to the podium even though each passing second seemed to get dragged.

My eyes darted through the crowd and I could see the other students silent.

Others were whispering in each other's ears.

I could already tell what they were saying.

"Who is he?..."

"Really, they picked him?..."

*sigh...I took in continuous deep breaths as I finall took out the piece of paper that Maya had written the speech for me.

For some reason as I got ready to speak, my eyes glances directly at Amy.

Her gaze was down but then looked up at me.

Her teeth were gritted and I could already tell that she was pissed by the whole selection thing.

'Me? Under a commoner like him?'

'Unacceptable!'

That was probably what was going through her head.

Then I looked at Maya, she smiled at me.

And that alone had me feeling warmth despite the cold glances.

So I proceeded to skim through the piecw of paper so that I could atleast get an idea.

It wasn't too long or short.

"Good morning, everyone...

First, I want to say that it's an honor to stand before you as the Blessed Sage and the head of the first-year student council.

I know that these titles come with a lot of responsibility, and I'm ready to take them on."

"I'm excited about what this year holds for all of us. We're all here to grow, to learn, and to push the limits of our magical abilities.

But let's be real—I can't do this alone. To ensure a smooth and successful year, I'll need your full cooperation.

That means working together, supporting each other, and staying focused on our goals."

"But let me be clear—anyone who thinks they can defy the rules or disrupt our progress will face consequences.

I won't hesitate to enforce what needs to be done to keep things on track.

After all, a strong leader knows when to be firm."

"And let's be honest—I didn't come here to be average. I intend to excel, and I expect nothing less from all of you.

Together, we can make this a year to remember, but only if we all put in the effort."

"Thank you, and let's make this year one for the books."

As Noah paused, a wave of murmurs swept through the crowd.

Some students whispered to each other, impressed by his confidence.

"Did you hear that? He means business," one said.

"Who does he think he is, threatening us like that?" another muttered, sounding annoyed.

A few nodded in agreement, while others exchanged uneasy glances, realizing that the new head of the council wasn't one to be taken lightly.

"He's cocky, but maybe he's got the skills to back it up," someone remarked, half in awe, half in doubt.

'What was Maya thinking while writing this?...'

"I love it."

Noah muttered under his breath as he smirked a bit.

'Did he...just grin?'

Amy thought folding her arms in frustration.

Noah then continued bringing back everyone from their chatters.

"And I tend to uphold the academy's values and discipline together with my fellow colleagues and students in the First years student council as well..."

"Please come forward..."

Noah was referring to those other individuals selected to be in the students council.

For a moment Noah seemed to grin.

To other it looked like he was happy to get the title but only he knew the reason.

The entire main cast was under an insignificant character like himself.

Ofcourse he would grin.

Xander Frost, Amy Bluerose, Rylan Voss, Seraphina Vale and Ariana Snow made their way to the podium.

The sun cast beams on them as they shone with aura clearly befitting their roles as the main characters.

And among them was Noah Ashbourne, an extra that couldn't impact the story in the slightest.

---

After the First-year student council was made known to the rest of the students, the assembly ended and we were dimissed.

That was after being told we could access our timetables from the watches.

First period and second period ended in an instant.

And by the time it was third period,it was already afternoon.

I was sitted in class staring at the pocket watch I had.

The classes had been extremely boring and it felt weird and surreal at the same time being back in my school days.

One of the reasons was also because I already knew almost entirely everything to do with the syllabus.

Not all but most.

But even if I couldn't remember all the materials I was capable of recalling the magic concepts in general.

Noah sat at the back of the classroom, staring blankly out the window.

He hadn't been paying attention at all, lost in his own thoughts.

The professor, a strict but fair woman named Professor Evelyn Thorne, had just finished explaining a complex magic concept.

She noticed Noah's distant gaze and decided to call him out.
