I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 169

Chapter 169: Let's Create a Guild

Elliot felt somehow odd about hearing the Vassal's name. It didn't sit well with him.

It was most probably because he knew what they were capable of. The Vassals, even the ones at the bottom of their ranks like Blithe and Sora, already needed a gang of Adventurers to just par their strength.

He shook his head to clear his thoughts, returning his attention to Emelda. "How are you sure that the Queen of Hell ordered the attack? For all we know, it could just be anyone."

"You're really clueless about Malice, huh?" Emelda snickered. "The black well symbolizes Hell, much like a cauldron symbolizes Inferno. It's their identity. And wherever that cauldron appears, blood will shed and lives will be taken."

"H-How come you know all of these?" Elliot asked. "You seem to know even more than me. And how did you hid your race before? I've been here for about two days and my radar only detected you."

"That's because I was testing you," Emelda answered. "I felt something from you that I couldn't really pinpoint as to what it is. Something hidden. Only when I saw you activate one of your skills earlier that I realized that it's really you."

"I don't think I'm following," Elliot tilted his head. "What skill do you mean? I only used Hasty Aspire and Supreme Malevolence earlier just to show everyone how an Adventurer system would enhance their magic."

"I've seen that skill before," Emelda said that almost made Elliot's world froze.

For the time he became an Adventurer, he had met a lot of people. And none of them had the same skill set as him apar from the ones he got from The Creator's Greed.

"You saw someone who used the same skill as me?" Elliot asked. "Do you know who it was? What he looked like."

"I don't exactly know what he was, he didn't tell me his name," Emelda said. "But he was with another man and a woman. And they all aren't Terran. They said they visited us Atlantici for a quest and it's odd for humans to request such thing."

"What was the quest?" Elliot walked closer, leaning in to ask. "I bet he knows what this power is."

"The quest was to get a hair from my mother, which was the ruler of our kingdom back then. And after that, they fled peacefully. It was as if nothing happened," Emelda said with a sigh. "I don't even know what they really wanted but they didn't came back."

Elliot backed away slowly, disappointed. "Do you have any more clue about who they were?"

"I actually do. He told me to give something to the person who I could see would use the Supreme Malevolence skill. I've been holding out this request for years and here we are," Emelda said. "Meet me here again tonight. I will give you what the Adventurer gave me."

"How can I make sure that I can trust you?" Elliot asked before walking away. "I'm sorry but I don't really like betrayals. We have been fooled by Malice countless of times and you knowing her existence would also mean you might be involved with her."

"If I was going to betray you, I wouldn't have even mentioned her to keep your guard down," Emelda retorted that made Elliot chuckle.

"Right," Elliot said and walked away, going back to Dustin who was now slowly forming animals with his water ball.

"Elliot, look, he really has a talent for this," Christina cheered. "It took me weeks to even form a ball and now he's reshaping it not an hour after he first conjured it."

"That's amazing," Elliot grinned.

He found himself looking around the people who had crowded around Dustin. Amazement were in their eyes and some even tried conjuring their own elemental spheres.

Then, a thought went into Elliot's head. If the people were fond of magic, and they want to become strong, what better way to hit both but to create a guild?

That way, they could have the Adventurer system, and they could level up by fishing, gaining experience from the fishes they catch.

Elliot excitedly went to Emelda's office, knocking on her door and coming inside without giving it a second thought, only to see Dan with Emelda, both were on the latter's table, almost naked.

"Oh, my god. I'm sorry," Elliot immediately said and got out, slamming the door behind him. "I'm so dead."

To say that the atmosphere was thick was an understatement. It was so dense, anyone could mistaken it for a flesh of a beast.

Elliot was apologizing to the couple for barging into their office like that. He was too excited to tell them about his plan that he didn't realize he was barging into their office.josei

"I am so sorry," Elliot said for the hundredth time that afternoon. "I really am. I didn't mean to–"

"It's okay, Mr. Elliot," Dan chuckled with a wide grin, seemingly unaffected by the dense atmosphere. "People see us like that every time. I bet the villagers are used to it."

Elliot turned behind him to see that the villagers were nodding in agreement. They all share the same look of dismay and grimace in their faces, seemingly regretting to barge into Emelda's office.

"But what were you going to say to us?" Emelda asked. "You seem to eager to tell us something, what is it?"

"Oh, right," Elliot took a deep breath to regain his composure. "I'm here to tell you that we should create a guild for your village."

"A-A guild?" the couple's heads tilted in confusion, eyes meeting as they looked at the boy.

"Guilds would not only strengthen a group of people, but it would strengthen a village or a city," Elliot said. "That is why I'm suggesting it to you. In three days, let us go to Solaguer, the capital so we can create you a guild."

"Wouldn't that cost too much?" Emelda asked. "I mean, we tried creating a guild before but when we asked the Royal Guards, the creation of a guild costs about 1,000 gold coins plus the monthly taxes. The monthly tax we can do, but the initial amount is not something we can provide."

"I can shoulder that expense," Florencia said that made the villagers gasp. "I have that money with me right now. I can even get you four guilds."

"B-But Miss Florencia–"

"Not buts," Florencia cut Dan off. "This village, this journey taught me something that I could never buy with money. I had so much fun in here, so in exchange, I can provide you with that."

The villagers couldn't hold the tears in their eyes. They took a sniffle as they all hollered in happiness, thankful for the savior of their village.
