Chapter 110: Build your own troops
"It should be here," Reylin glared at one spot.
That spot didn't look any different, and it was just plain ground in the forest. It didn't ooze any mana either, and one wouldn't see through it without special skills.
Reylin had his own class that helped him investigate, but Sin White's intel was also helpful.
While Reylin stared at one spot, his new group exchanged glances as well.
They were prepared for him, and many of them were fire mages. Other than them, Reylin's new group had three healers and two tanks.
All of them didn't have any objections about Reylin becoming their leader. That man already had somehow snatched their guild leader's heart, and no other player had left a deep impression the way Reylin did.
His legendary skill's video was still popular, and they had seen him on the battleground with their eyes!
One of the tanks asked, "What's the plan after we enter the hidden base?"
The question was whether Reylin would command them similarly to Lioness. No one expected him to be on the same level, but a few commands should come out from the leader.
Reylin's eyes shifted to the tank, "I am the opposite to your guild leader. You will do your job, and I will adapt with my flames. Well, with my freedom, I will still leave a few orders behind, so keep an eye on them."
"Got it," A tank nodded.
Reylin didn't continue the talk.
It was time to get the job done!
Though he had a bet with Lioness, Reylin promised to build up his Black Rose's class. That would help him with the detection magic and other annoying stuff people come up with to protect themselves.
The base was like a perfect experimental ground!
Reylin used his Crown's Mana, and his unique flames passed through everyone from his group.
"How did it go?" He asked while staring at the hidden entrance.
A fire mage who wanted to become closer with Reylin replied, "We've received the Hidden In Flames Effect! This is amazing!" He didn't forget to cajole Reylin.
Reylin nodded as if this was already a skill he had made.
It only became a skill after everyone had confirmed their status.
"And we shall silently visit our friends," Reylin sneered and opened the hidden base.
-
Reylin had bypassed many defensive mechanisms with his Black Rose class. His group was the same since they were hidden in his silent flames.
Those flames were mysterious, and fire mages kept trembling with excitement.
One could say that Reylin shared a little of himself with those flames as players felt serene and at ease by staring into fire dancing around them.
The entrance began with a corridor that stretched out a few meters below.
Soon, Reylin and his group entered the study room.
The hidden base had precisely that kind of vibe as many books littered shelves, and other experimental stuff rolled around.
Test tubes prevailed in the rolling contest, and a few of them had a dark matter in liquid form pouring out!
Reylin and others narrowed their eyes, "That's a peculiar hidden base."
It was indeed a treasure trove for casual players, but Reylin hated the smell here. It reminded him of the clash with the necromancer and his cage. That place also poisoned players' bodies, so they couldn't stay still.
Reylin went forward with two tanks at the helm.
And at last, the troublesome fellows had emerged.
Strangely, all of them were gathered in a circle.
A dark ball floated in the middle of this circle, and everyone gawked at it with hopes and yearning.
Half of those people wore rough clothes one would see on players, who usually fought monsters.
The other half looked similar to mages and scientists.
That was quite an amusing combination.
Since Reylin had entered the base through his Black Rose class, the group wasn't aware of them, and their experiment continued.
A man with glasses and long robes said, "It works! It finally works! Master's last piece was what we needed!"
"Out of all bases, we must have been the one to accomplish it," A guy with rough clothes said, his lips curved up in a sinister smile.
Behind them, Reylin inferred that all bases had been doing the same experiment. That was like an internal competition that sounded stupid at first, but it was actually something that significantly increased growth.
However, Reylin also heard about the master.
'Has that master helped just them, or everyone?' Reylin questioned.
While he kept forming new thoughts, the event continued.
The dark ball began shrinking, and it soon became a rune.
It was a dark rune with an unknown purple letter. Its size was small and shaped similar to a distorted star.
"Seize it," Reylin said, and his group began the attack!
Tanks used their iconic skill, [Taunt], and red lightning bolts swept through the group! It was a sudden attack, and all enemies became influenced by it, even the toughest looking ones!
Fire mages followed the perfectly combined taunt and let out their strongest fire skills. At first, they had different shapes, be it firebirds or fire vines, but all blended together to form flame waves.
That wave barrelled into all of them and did quite significant damage!
The burning effect enveloped everyone, and their HP continued to drop with each second!
Finally, "Who the fuck are they?! How come we didn't know about them?!"
"They must have bypassed defensive mechanisms somehow! Heck! They are already here, so deal with them!" A guy in a long robe retorted and compelled instant reaction from the firmer-looking people.
Alas, Reylin didn't let them even come closer to his tanks!
"A bet is a bet," He smirked, and scarlet flames oozed out of his body!
"That's it! That's it!" An excitement swept from Reylin's side.
"The Red... Sky!"
BANG!
[You have killed...]
[You have killed...]
[You have...]
Reylin left two tough guys and one scientist alive. He would let Aria question them later if things didn't go as planned for her.
He also extended his hand for the black rune.
[Pure Dark Matter Troops System.]
[You are eligible to wear this rune.]
[Build your own troops!]
"Pure... Dark Matter, hmmm," Reylin smirked, then put the rune into his inventory.
He and his people left the group to reunite with others. It was a quick and well-done infiltration with flames doing clean-up seamlessly.
What Reylin didn't know was that there was someone who saw them.
That existence smiled and closed his eyes.
