Chapter 97: Found
"That guy must be good," Emilia casually said while moving through the dark alley.
She didn't talk about Reylin's bed skills but about another existence in the dungeon. Of course, she learned about the man by killing the ghost, and she did it alone!
Her mood was great for obvious reasons.
Alas, Reylin just shared a little of that mood with her.
First of all, he slammed his fist against Emilia's head as she kept that information for herself for too long.
He forgave her because he had indulged in pleasure as well.
However, even after having sex together, Emilia sulked about the lack of water. She kept trying to find any source of water rather than talking about the first living being here.
That was the reason she had a little bump on her head.
Reylin threw her a glare, "We will kill that necromancer."
Although the man's profession wasn't clear, Reylin gave him a name based on what he had heard from Emilia.
The reason her first enemy ghost was in a rush and looked concerned was because of the necromancer's ability to turn ghosts into servants.
Ghosts were intelligent beings in phase one of the Burial Ground Dungeon, so Reylin inferred that they were the top and the hardest to get undead.
"One loser just escaped him, so Necromancer is not as good as you imagine him to be," Reylin added.
Emilia pouted in response and looked to the side.
She was pretty sulky as things didn't go her way immediately after Reylin had appeared. Her good mood also diminished heavily.
It seemed like all things paled in Reylin's presence!
"Why loser? He wasn't easy to beat," Emilia added while hugging her robe.
Reylin shook his head, "That loser went for you even if the first living being made him run for his life. He must have been quite... desperate for something."
He glared behind where Emilia and two ghosts followed him.
"Of course, he wanted to get us to fight that Necromancer," Emilia glared back, trying to get back a little of her former mood.
But Reylin just shook his head as if she had disappointed him!
She didn't know what to think of it, and Emilia pouted again, "My good mood... Damn it... At least you have good gear, you rascal."
"Thank you very much," Reylin smiled.
Since Emilia had given up on trying to find water, the party's goal shifted back to the main one. It was to see the ghosts related to fire races from the past!
Reylin's goal troubled Estras, and he often voiced his worries. However, he stopped after Reylin glared at him with his face folded by the demon! Should he do it from time to time, Reylin would casually reassure him. Still, continuous pestering from a ghost was hella annoying.
Fate smiled at Estras, however.
On their journey, he found a ghost who was the betrayer of his kingdom!
"Edward! You!" Estras couldn't hold back his feelings!
His urgent and emotional voice boomed in the vicinity! All undead turned toward them and promptly charged at the fresh flesh. On the other hand, Edward gawked at Reylin and Emilia!
He didn't expect to see Estras with them.
He was also aware of the dungeon's rules, so Edward instantly understood why Estras would stand near them.
"A blind and dense fool has his hero luck even in the afterlife," Edward sighed, "Very well. I will play with you." His ghost hand rose.
And immediately after, the undead began acting differently.
Under his control, the undead, be it skeleton or zombies, formed perfect groups.
The zombies became shields while skeletons reached for stones and other things to throw. They even shattered bricks to get more ammo!
Naturally, the zombies stopped and became the wall.
"Kill him! Kill this traitorous bastard!" Estras waved his hands like a lunatic, his eyes snapping and stretching in ire.
Reylin glanced at him, then formed a few fireballs, "Shut up."
The fireballs didn't disappoint.
They avoided the wall and slammed at the skeletons from the sky.
Emilia did the same since she could use her flames as well. Her holy fire turned into holy rain that destroyed Edward's main source of damage!
She pointed her gun at the zombies and began killing them one by one through the holy bullets.
A holy bullet was a combination of her techniques and the gun!
Its speed was mind-blowing, even for Reylin.
"Finally, some things to kill," Emilia chuckled, her mood slowly surging!
Reylin waved his hand, "What is this smell?"
And her partner instantly shattered that mood!
"You rascal! Seriously!" Emilia pointed her gun at him, and one bullet tilted Reylin's head.
They were in a good mood and position. Hence such stupid actions were fine.
Edward's pride hurt, but he accepted the loss!
He faced Estras with a smile, "It's better to die than become a puppet. Your hero luck can do this much, though... I don't think that any of you will be able to deal with that man."
"Kill him! I can't bear to listen to his ugly voice!" Estras howled.
"Ugly? I would rather be ugly than brainless like you," Edward smiled wider, "Did you know, Estras? A blind follower with power is worse than a corrupted king. I wish we will meet in a different life, you fool. Eh? What is this smell?"
"Close-" Estras replied, but someone else was louder.
"Since when ghosts can smell?!" Emilia snapped and fired a bullet.
She didn't kill Edward, but her holy flames did pretty nice damage on it.
Reylin's slash ended the job, and Estras finally calmed down.
"And that's what our adventure will look like," Reylin explained, "We will meet your enemies on the way, and Emilia will also succeed with her quota. Any more obtruding, and I will let them go."
Reylin began walking right away after killing Edward, but Estras seethed inwardly and glared at him while no one saw his face.
At last, Reylin found a ghost that looked like a humanoid creature, not a human.
And that was his goal!
