Chapter 132: Stark VS Aoki Moonless
Chapter 132: Stark VS Aoki Moonless
"…" Stark positioned himself to fight Aoki, he wasn't scared of him if he was going to use 'those' arrows to fight him.
Aoki was extremely protective of Lana, going as far as not letting anybody get close to get her, and even threatening Daniel's family when he got too close to her.
He could be considered a good brother if that was it, but unfortunately, his obsession went beyond that, and he refused to acknowledge anybody weaker than him to be with his sister.
"Oh~" Aoki smiled, "But we aren't fighting like that other guy," he quickly glanced at Karl, his body down as he was knocked out by Stark's crimson fist.
This supposed event which was organized for the countdown of the academy entrances, and also for the top 100 classifiers to meet each other became so much more interesting all of a sudden and not a single person dared to interrupt the fights.
They all wanted to know… just how far could Stark go.
"You completed a rift, good job, anybody could have done that," Aoki rolled his eyes, "Now I'll show you that you need to know your place…!"
And suddenly… everyone saw it.
[Duel Request: Aoki Moonless]
[Type: Deathless]
[Y/N]
These three panels appeared in front of Stark, big enough for everyone to see them.
"Aoki-" Lana tried to reason with her brother, but a single glance from her father shot down her attempt.
'Frankly… I seriously hate people who do this type of duels…' choosing [Deathless] was a pussy move for Stark as it meant that even though you were ready to fight, you weren't ready to receive the consequences if you somehow lost.
Basically… Aoki wasn't as confident as he made it seem.
But… Stark was so confident he would win that he didn't want to risk angering Arthur or the others by knocking Aoki out, so he pressed "Y".
Aoki's smirk widened as the duel began, the tension thick in the air as they faced each other.
The giant dome-like arena appeared, it was around 50 meters in size, allowing the two to fight however they liked, and ejecting all of those outside to guarantee a fair fight.
[3…]
The countdown began, and Aoki immediately started to summon his bow.
[2…]
Stark could feel the weight of the onlookers' eyes, their anticipation palpable, yet his expression stayed as neutral as ever.
[1…]
~FWISH, VIOUM~
Aoki's bow appeared in his hands in a flash of sparks, it was very beautiful, and the bow looked extremely powerful, maybe even stronger than Sierra's?
[FIGHT!]
Stark couldn't forget that inside of this room were the strongest people in all of Fellarburg, and that meant that their gazes being on him right now meant that they were witnessing him in battle.
Maybe some would hate him, others would like him, and the remainder would have a neutral opinion, it didn't matter.
Because all he needed to do now… was win.
Derek Spikeford didn't even bother looking after his knocked out son either, and it wasn't that he didn't care, but observing Stark in action was much more important for now.
"TIME TO END THIS," Aoki laughed as he pulled the [Arrow Quiver] filled with [Arrows of Sierra] and took out one of the arrows, pointing at Stark.
The boy just blinked though, he didn't see any reasons to attempt anything: his victory was guaranteed since the moment Aoki started the fight with these arrows.
'Perception…' he decided to still check out his opponent's status window.
…
[Name: Aoki Moonless]
[Level: 187]
[Class: Archer]
[HP: 102500]
[Strength: 2182]
[Speed: 5973]
[Stamina: 4024]
[Defense: 3271]
[Skills: Shoot, Target Lock, Element Merge, Instant Arrow, Archer's Eyes, Sky Barrage, Hunter, Arrow Inventory, Aoki's Ultimate Arrow…]
…
Yet again, the skill showed him the overall stats of Aoki, and it was obvious he was much stronger than Karl, plus he would probably soon enough reach the top 100 of Fellarburg if he continued like that.
His stat points were also extremely high, and Stark knew that he had no chance to ever hope of winning against him under normal circumstances.
But not this time…
"SHOOT, TARGET LOCK!" Aoki grabbed three [Arrows of Sierra] and aimed at Stark's weak points, focusing all his energy into the shots.
The [Arrows of Sierra] when shot by a normal human didn't have the same effect as when the apostle did it, instead, it worked like this:
-The first time you get hit, you are stunned for a few seconds.
-The second time, you are not only stunned, but your movements are decreased as the white mist infects your legs.
-And the third time you are hit is game over as the mist infects you completely and paralyzes you, your body becoming white by the crystals.
Of course you wouldn't transform into a monster, but that pretty much guaranteed victory for the enemy as he could eliminate you easily.
Stark didn't move or show any sign of fear though.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and got ready for impact.
Aoki's aura was overwhelming, and it completely surrounded the three arrows as he shot them, making them all leave a beautiful trail of aura.
In addition to that, Aoki added the [Target Lock] buff to his arrows, it was one of his most powerful skills, and also a big reason as to why he was recognized, it was a rare skill to have.
…
[Skill: Target Lock]
[Description: You can set a 'lock' on a target, and once that lock is set, any arrow will directly fly toward it, no matter what direction you shoot at.]
…
And that's exactly what he did as…
[A 'lock' has been placed on you]
Above his head appeared a crimson marksman symbol.
"Oh… he is using that…"
"All he needs is three arrows to end this fight!"
"More like one, that kid won't survive a single hit…"
But Stark just sighed, a wide smile on his face.
He wasn't scared of these arrows after all as he had already avoided and even got his by dozens of them.
And this meant that since the beginning, it was an impossible battle for Aoki as…
[You are immune to the mist]
These [Arrows Of Sierra] couldn't affect him, his body creating some sort of antivirus towards them after being hit inside of the rift.
He would have surely won if he took other arrows as a single one could kill him, but in this very situation… Stark was confident.
And so without a single care in the world… he dashed toward Aoki, which also meant taking the arrows straight on.
The overall reaction of the crowd was… IS HE CRAZY?!
