Chapter 134: Defeat of the Moonless Son
Chapter 134: Defeat of the Moonless Son
[Determination is too strong!]
[Not affected by 'Arrows of Sierra'!]
~STEP, STEP~
He decided to back away, squinting his eyes and gritting his teeth as he looked around to find a solution.
~SHOOT, FWISH~
Aoki decided to still use those arrows on him though, and he shot a multitude of them one after another, not even taking a second to take a break.
[Hit Four Times]
.
.
[Hit Twelve Times]
.
.
And yet, no matter how many he sent at him, how matter how focused he was, each arrow wouldn't do anything.
On the other hand, Stark was slowly walking to Aoki, each arrow that failed to infect him making his smile grow as he could feel the despair in Aoki, and his futile attempts.
But...
"ALRIGHT, ASSHOLE," Aoki threw the [Arrow Quiver] away and... activated his most powerful skill.
"AOKI'S ULTIMATE ARROW," aura started seeping from his body and began to create a beautiful arrow with a moon symbol on its edge: it was his only chance to win since he couldn't use the [Arrows of Sierra] to do damage.
[Aoki's Ultimate Arrow] created an arrow from Aoki's arrow, and that attack was so strong it dealt over 150000 damage point to whoever was hit, it could also pierce defense and walls, and adding the [Target Lock] buff to it made it overpowered.
It was an attack many archers and even those outside of this class feared.
'Why is he doing nothing...?' Aoki's pressure increased as he saw that Stark was still slowly walking toward him, not even caring about the attack, 'WELL, THAT'S GOOD FOR ME!'
~FWISSHHHH~
The structure of his ultimate aura was nearing completion, the air around it distorting...
"I WON!" Aoki got ready to shoot as his attack was charged up.
But...
'Huh?' he felt an intense pressure from behind, something was holding his arms, not allowing him to fire.
And as he looked behind him... he saw the two clones, both shaking their heads as if they were disappointed.
Aoki had been too focused on Stark, completely ignoring the two clones that he had summoned, and that was his biggest mistake.
~BAM, BAM~
The two punched him at the same time, each strike sounding like a bullet being fired.
"-32617! -34818!"
He was sent toward Stark, and of course the boy didn't miss a chance to finish him in a stylish way.
~KICK~
He kicked Aoki's stomach when he got closer, making his entire figure distort as it removed the air from his lungs.
And so he was sent flying toward the ceiling.
"-58271!"
He was already dead from the clones' punches, so the arena barrier disappeared and he effectively crashed into the ceiling, before falling to the ground and being caught by Arthur.
[Winner: REDACTED (Bunny-Masked Man)!]
A golden panel appeared in the middle of the room for everyone to see.
And instantly...
"NICE!"
"That was cool!"
"That damage is crazy...!"
Surprisingly, many people around him complimented him, while the remainder of them remained calm.
'…' Aoki laid there defeated, his body unconscious since you would always go down to recover after dying inside of a duel.
"Amazing…" Arthur smiled, even he was impressed, and he had also hoped that Stark would win (he would of course never say that to Aoki).
But of course, winning in a duel meant one other thing too…
[You have beaten 'Aoki Moonless' in duel, gaining reward: 582437EXP!]
And so that… Stark was surrounded by the golden golem in front of everybody's eyes.
[Your level has increased to level 33, granting you two skill points and boost in stats]
[Experience: 14737/712000]
He had almost forgotten about the fact that winning a duel against another classifier meant that he would steal some EXP, in that case it was enough to allow him to level up.
'He probably went down one or two levels to give me this…' Stark smiled.
'Spatial Inventory…' he mumbled before taking out three [Potions of Regeneration] and drinking them all, after all he didn't know when any of these people would attack.
But… Stark's intuition made him feel like he wouldn't fight anymore.
"Hey, Archer King…" Stark spoke, and all the chatter in the room suddenly stopped, all classifiers, even the most powerful of them, wanting to hear what Stark was about to say.
They were in front of an up-and-coming prodigy, many realized it.
"Yes, Mr. Bunny?" Arthur smiled, he knew of Stark's identity but kept it a secret as saying his name would be too easy.
How many guild and organization leaders would love to have him as a member? He couldn't allow that…
He quickly glanced at his daughter, then smiled: Stark was the perfect protection to her if something ever happened as he couldn't always be around.
"You know what I asked for, right?" Stark mimicked the sign of money with his fingers, he didn't say what it was about though as asking to join the 'Rift Conqueror' academy would make him so much easier to find.
"Oh~ but of course, I'll be sending all the information to you soon," Arthur smiled, "Thank you for the arrows."
"No problem…" Stark nodded and turned around, "Oh! See you soon, Lana," he waved at the girl, he hadn't paid attention to her since he was too focused on actually surviving.
"B-Bye!"
"Goodbye… FATHER-IN-LAW!" Stark added as well as he turned his slightly toward Arthur, a wide smile on his face.
"Bye, son-in-law," Arthur went along with it, smiling just as hard, a small amount of aura pouring out from his body.
And yet… this small amount was enough to make Stark squint his eyes: he was way too strong, and it would take a while to win.
Once Stark left the room, one of the [Magus] class used his staff to place the wooden doors back in their place, effectively repairing them completely, and stopping anybody from seeing Stark.
But the boy didn't turn back, instead he just went inside the elevator and clicked on the main floor, meaning the entrance.
[Good job…]
A crimson panel appeared before Stark, but he was already lost in thought, holding his head: this was a terrifying experience.
And surely… now all the strongest classifiers in the country, as well as all their children present, knew about him.
'I need to be careful… need to get stronger…' he mumbled over and over as the elevator kept going up.
