Chapter 389 Oliver's in a Pinch, It's Stark's Turn to Act Now

Chapter 389 Oliver's in a Pinch, It's Stark's Turn to Act Now

"Damn, level 200 and he still got caught," Stark grinned.

He stood at a distance, his sharp gaze locked onto the battlefield where Oliver was trapped, struggling desperately against the crushing grip of the massive diamond hand.

The once-unshakable confidence on Oliver's face was gone, replaced with an expression of grim determination as he fought against what seemed like an impossible force.

But it wasn't working.

For the first time, Oliver's raw strength had failed him.

The diamond hand, formed from Clever's ultimate skill, Zero Hand, was unyielding, and Stark could see that Oliver's aura was flickering under the immense pressure.

"I guess levels don't mean shit when something like this happen," Stark mumbled, "I should have known after using Heaven's Spear this much, though."

[Not gonna do anything :)?]

The classes figure appeared again, staring at the giant statue holding Oliver with all its might.

"The only thing I could do is use [Heaven's Spear], which would kill Oliver too."

[Heh, who even cares?] It shrugged.

And at that sentence, Stark's eyes narrowed a little.

"That's..." Stark put his hand on his chin, scratching it, "That's actually true."

[He's gonna die if you don't do anything anyway, might as well let him be experience points for us :)]

Stark looked to the void above, focusing his energy as he prepared to summon the weapon that had saved him countless times before.

Heaven's Spear.

"I hope it works even in Domination Expansions."

The atmosphere shifted as a colossal rift tore open in the sky above the arena, revealing the radiant figure of the angelic being.

Its form glowed with divine power, its massive wings spread wide as it carried a spear that radiated an overwhelming holy energy.

The sight alone was enough to make even the most hardened warriors falter.

The angel gazed down with cold, piercing eyes, its very presence exuding an aura of judgment.

Clever's eyes widened in pure terror.

"No... not again," he whispered, his voice trembling.

In an instant, memories of his death as a human flooded his mind.

He had faced this before—the same spear, the same overwhelming force.

The pain, the helplessness, the inevitability of it all, it all came rushing back.

He instinctively released Oliver, the diamond hand moving back as Clever focused all his energy on defending himself.

He brought the Zero Hand to him, its immense size and power returning as it hovered between him and the angelic figure.

But as the energy condensed into the hand, another memory surfaced, one that froze Clever in place.

"Wait a minute..." he looked at the diamond hand, "I... Did this before, didn't I?!"

When transformed from a trial, you only retained your core memories, so things like this weren't remembered.

This attack was impossible to avoid.

Heaven's Spear didn't miss. It didn't stop. It didn't forgive.

Stark didn't hesitate.

He raised his hand, his expression cold and unyielding, and sent the massive spear hurtling toward the battlefield.

He didn't care if Oliver got caught in the blast. This was the only way.

The spear descended like a falling star, its radiant energy growing brighter and hotter with each passing second.

The angel's form vanished as the spear reached terminal velocity, a beam of pure divine energy trailing behind it.

"NO!" Clever roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield as he thrust Zero Hand forward in a desperate attempt to block the attack.

BOOOOOOOM!

The impact was cataclysmic.

The moment the spear collided with the ground, an explosion of light and sound erupted, blinding everyone within miles.

The sheer force of the blast tore through the earth, ripping apart the arena and sending shockwaves that shook the very air.

A deafening roar drowned out everything as the divine energy consumed everything in its radius.

The golden statue shattered instantly, its once-imposing form reduced to nothing but fragments of glowing debris.

Clever, caught in the direct blast, let out one final, agonized scream before his voice was silenced, his monstrous form obliterated by the overwhelming power of the spear.

Even Oliver, despite his immense durability, was caught in the blast.

Stark, standing far at the edge of the arena, shielded himself with a protective barrier of aura, watching as the divine light gradually faded.

He had poured an incredible amount of his own power into the spear, not holding back for even a moment.

As the dust began to settle, the arena was left in utter ruin.

The once-imposing battlefield was now a smoldering crater, the air thick with heat and the faint hum of residual energy.

Everything in the center of the explosion had been completely vaporized.

Nothing remained.

"..."

Then, a system notification flashed before his eyes:

[You have slain "Clever - Godless Transformation", gaining 600,000,000 experience points.]

Stark froze, his eyes wide as he read the notification.

Six hundred million? Stay connected via empire

He blinked, rereading the number.

The sheer magnitude of it left him momentarily stunned.

It was the largest amount of experience he had ever received in a single moment, far surpassing anything he had encountered before.

But then again, it made sense.

Clever wasn't just any opponent, he was a level 180 domination monster, transformed into a Godless entity, with power leagues above most classifiers Stark had faced.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

And so the level-up notifications flooded in.

[Your level has increased to level 148, granting you five skill points and a boost in stats.]

[Your level has increased to level 149, granting you five skill points and a boost in stats.]

[Your level has increased to level 150, granting you six skill points and a boost in stats.]

Ding!

[Level 150 Reached!]

But of course, this wasn't the end.

[Your level has increased to level 151, granting you six skill points and a boost in stats.]

.

.

[Your level has increased to level 156, granting you six skill points and a boost in stats.]

[Experience: 34,545,000/84,000,000]

Once reaching level 150, the increase of experience between each level is at 4,000,000.

Soon enough, even those 600,000,000 experience points would only result in Stark leveling up four to five times if this kept going like this.

And of course, reaching level 150 meant crossing one of the most important milestones Stark had reached yet.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Several panels appeared around him to confirm that fact.

Now that he was alone in this place, there wasn't any need to worry.

But...

"Wait a minute."

[:)]

"Why didn't I get experience from killing Oliver? He's level 200, I should have gotten around a billion, shouldn't I?"

[...]

"Then maybe..."

Stark turned toward the crater, and in the distance, the figure of the domination association leader rose up.

[Oliver HP: 1/1,500,000]

He was bloodied and most of his bones were broken, but he had survived.

"..."

[How about we kill him while he's low?] The classes figure grinned, [Easiest experience points ever.]

"Hm..."

That idea was actually kind of good for Stark.

The fact he could gain around 8 to 10 more levels was extremely appealing.

And so, putting aside the several notifications and panels that prompted him to read them, he advanced forward, toward Oliver.

He didn't know what his intentions were yet, but it was surprising that he survived [Heaven's Spear], even though he was a level 200 classifier.
