Chapter 299: Dark Elves ( 6 )

Mourad felt a bit pressured fighting the Dark Elves than the Harpies and Gryphons of the Beast Wave.

After all, they are known for their weird Arcane Magic. 

He knows about their existence since most of the adults who could explore outside their village would encounter them from time to time.

However, though they would normally get heated with each other at times, there wouldn't be a battle to the death among them.

They would know their limits and get away from each other once they've shown that they weren't some pushover like some Evil Beasts in the jungle.

This is why he was a bit confused why their village is now being targeted while they are still having troubles because of the beast wave…

'Are they planning to completely massacre us after we get exhausted fending off the beast wave?'

He suddenly had a random thought but before he could think more about it, he noticed something below him.

'Master… There are five of them coming at me.' Mourad used his Sense Link to inform his master.

Of course, the latter was already aware of this so he gave instructions to his student. 

'Don't worry about them, just continue supporting the Trident out there.'

'I understand, Master.' 

The young man nodded as he focused on the battle happening about 100 meters away from him. He doesn't want to just fire a bullet in their direction without assessing the current situation.

The Trident is capable of moving on its own like its master but the difference is that it is not hiding it. 

Their master Reiji seems to be shy from people other than his students while this trident doesn't seem to care. 

It was quite an interesting sight to him…

Nevertheless, he quickly fires his Piercing Bullet to one of the Dark Elves from afar…

Bang!

The shot created a loud noise and making almost everyone look at him…

'Ugh… I hope I have the magic to keep this silent.' The young man thought as he noticed how they were attracted by a single shot.

Anyway, he would try to ask if his master if he can help him with that kind of request. He knows that his master has lived for a very long time so he should be knowledgeable enough. 

Mourad knows how important it is to ask for his master's opinion before he makes certain decisions.

Bam!

On the other hand, Reiji used his Spiritual Pressure on the group of Dark Elves coming to them.

The five of them kneeled on the ground as the pressure coming from the Ancient Arcane Stone was too sudden. They weren't prepared for that kind of invisible attack causing them to drop and roll on the ground…

Thud… Thud… Thud.

Mourad smiled after seeing this. He wasn't worried that he'll get attack by those five but he actually recalled his training with his Master.

During the past couple of weeks, he and his fellow disciples received this pressure training.

It means that even if it was used against him, he knows that his body's muscles would be able to easily adjust and bear the surprising pressure coming out of nowhere.josei

He fired another shot after the cooldown of his rifle… This time, he just used a normal Energy Bullet that he can fire four times every minute. 

It is not because he's saving his Spiritual Energy but he noticed that the Trident only needed to have a distraction.

Apparently, the Dark Elves' binding Arcane Magic needs quite a concentration to retain it... However, what was scary about this was that it can be used or cast multiple times… 

Perhaps, if a few hundred or thousand of Shadow Binds continued restraining the Arcana, Saaz may have no choice but to get captured. 

Nevertheless, he can feel that the Trident was still filled with power. It was unlike his Master he could hide his Spiritual Energy whatever he does.

Even if he was relaxing or in combat, the Shinai Arcana's energy remained hidden and could not be detected. 

Unless Reiji willed it, they wouldn't have any idea at all.

Reiji noticed that Szaaz appears to be playing around… The Ancient Curse Arcana wasn't using his strongest abilities and he seemed to be too wary of getting closer to the main group.

'Szaaz… What's going on? Is that golden dagger causing you trouble?'

'That's correct, Master… It has properties aimed against any Ancient Items. I originally thought that it is just a normal Arcana. Ugh! For now,  I am trying to see whether they know how to use it… but after baiting them for a while, I don't think that they know how to properly wield it. I'm already thinking of risking it and rush on that dark elf wielding the dagger.'

'No! I don't think it's a good idea. I'll handle it for you. I'm not an Ancient Arcana so I should be fine, correct?'

'That's correct, Master. However, that female Dark Elf still has another Arcana with him. It seems to be an Epic Rank so please be careful.'

'Yes… I noticed it.'

Reiji replied as he started using his skills while maintaining the activation of his item's Spiritual Pressure. 

He already used his Arcane Sensitivity Skill so he was already aware of the number of Arcana around... 

It is actually quite surprising that there are only two Arcana in this large group of elves. It means that summoning Arcana is probably not suited for them or they just have no way of acquiring them at all.

Traceless… Stealth… Sword Kinesis… 

As soon as he used the three skills, Reiji silently disappeared on Mourad's waist.

It was then followed by his Cloning Technique.

It didn't take long before there are 30 copies of him readying to strike the Dark Elves… 

'I will be using my Sword Explosion to cause trouble… Finish them off after.'

'I understand… Thank you for your assistance, Master.'

As soon as he said this, he first dealt with the five Dark Elves aiming at Mourad.

The explosion attracted the wielder of the golden dagger. She saw what had just happened and wanted to help, however, the elf felt that danger was also coming at her.

Reiji then heard her instruct her fellow elves… He didn't understand what she said but a glass-like barrier appeared in front of them.

It was shattered after but the Sword Explosions were successfully defended just like that! Nevertheless, Szaaz has finally made his move!

A dark green cloud suddenly covered every Dark Elves while Szaaz hid on it…

"Aaaghh!"

Reiji heard their painful cries as the Cursed Arcana killed them one by one.
