I, The Dragon Overlord

Chapter 557 -Sisters Meet

Chapter 557 -Sisters Meet

As the giant dragon army descended into the Abyss, the people on the main continent were still living peaceful lives.

“Ha, you are Aurora, the daughter of His Highness Louie?”

Aurora and Derek arrived at the palace of Dragon City. They had the guards inform the queen of their presence. While waiting, Aurora heard a wild female voice.

She turned her head in confusion and saw a fit and healthy beauty painted with blood-red tattoos. The most striking thing about this woman was the wolf ears on her head.

“Lady Lysfer?”

Aurora had already had a detailed understanding of Dragon City before she came here. After seeing Lysfer’s iconic wolf ears, she easily recognized her identity.

She was the leader of the beastmen in Dragon City and one of its military commanders.

This beastman was known as the ‘bloodthirsty hunter’ and made great achievements in the war against the Seven Kingdom Alliance before Aurora was born. This gave her enough legendary pedigree to be promoted to the legendary rank. Twenty years of time did not leave any changes in her features.

After Lysfer was promoted, she gained the strength to challenge the chief of the original tribe that had abandoned her, but it so happened that the gods had all awakened, and all beastmen had begun to believe in the Beastman God. Lysfer knew that even if she succeeded in defeating her brother, as long as she did not believe in the Beastman God, she would never be able to become a chief again. So, she gave up on this idea and completely integrated into Dragon City, becoming one of its leaders, the leader of the beastmen.

Aurora even knew that one of the first groups of beastmen was slaves from the former Subila Empire. The fertility of beastmen was comparable to that of humans. After twenty years, 50,000 beastmen had more than doubled, becoming an important race in Dragon City and becoming a part of it. Because of the education, they received during childhood, the newborn beastmen had complete faith in the Dragon God and even abandoned the habits of normal beastmen. Following the Dragon God’s doctrine had become a part of their way of life.

The Beastman God Gorsh was a god of the chaotic evil faction. He supported infighting amongst beastmen to raise and screen powerful beastmen. This made the majority of beastmen in the Beastman Kingdom strong. They could all become powerful warriors, but their numbers had not gone up at all, contrary to the beastmen who had faith in the Dragon God and had grown in numbers.

Lysfer sized up Aurora as if she was measuring goods. Her bloodthirsty eyes gave Aurora a sense of discomfort.

However, Aurora was not afraid at all. She was also a legendary rank warlock. Although her fighting capability was not as good as Lysfer, she was not someone the other party could easily win against. Moreover, the Dragon God’s blood in her veins gave her the pride and the might of a dragon. This gave her the courage to stand against Lysfer who had fought many battles.

“Hmm, although your instinct as a warrior is weaker and you are a princess who had no need to go to the frontlines, you barely qualify.”

Although the beastmen’s way of life had changed, their love for battle was never forgotten. When facing strangers, they would first look at their power.

“It’s an honor to receive your compliments, Lady Lysfer!”

Aurora curtsied with a smile on her lips.

“Tch, no need to be civil with me. I don’t buy flowery words.”

Lysfer sneered. Her smile revealed a warrior’s fanaticism for fighting. She laughed evilly, “Sigh, it would have been great if the Dragon God had made me pregnant. If I gave birth, the child would probably be older than you.”

Hearing her bold words, Aurora blushed.

“Don’t scare her Lysfer, she is still a guest.”

At this time, a clear female voice sounded. Her beautiful voice was like a chirping lark in the forest. Aurora turned to see a female elf displaying her beauty in the traditional elven dress.

“Hmph, Sisna! You take the princess to the queen. I have to take a trip to the military camp.”

Lysfer waved her hands after seeing Sisna.

“Her Majesty Alexia is waiting in the palace. Many nobles and officials of the city are also inside, won’t you go in?” The cool female elf frowned as she asked.

“I don’t understand this human wordplay, and I don’t want to try. It’s better if I go back to the barracks and have fun watching those new recruits train. Anyways, the queen doesn’t care if I attend or not, so it’s better for me to leave.”

Lysfer spoke impatiently, and it could be seen that her relationship with Sisna wasn’t bad.

The first group of people who followed Louie, other than those who had already died, had either become high officials of Dragon City or nobles who received land and title. Some had also raised their own children and grandchildren. Although there were conflicts among them, those only happened when dealing with administrative affairs. Those like Lysfer and Sisna who had strong roots in Dragon City had good relationships in private.

“Good, then I’ll take Princess Aurora into the palace first. Just go about your business.”

SIsna, who was familiar with Lysfer’s nature, said goodbye and left.

“Then please follow me, Your Highness.”

Sisna smiled gently, making her feel like a spring breeze, like a bud blooming on a branch.

“I appreciate your help, Lady Sisna!”

Aurora also bowed to the elf courteously, even more solemnly than when facing Lysfer.

Sisna was an elf who had lived for thousands of years. Her fame all over the main continent had already made her a legendary rank ranger. It was even rumored that the Silver Moon Goddess had given her divinity to study and comprehend. When she succeeded in doing so, she would be able to become a demigod.

Divinity was a scarce thing for new gods, and for Sisna to obtain divinity was an example of divine grace.

However, Aurora knew some inside information, such as the fact that Sisna had been the Silver Moon Goddess’ adopted daughter in the past. This explained how she could receive the Goddess’ gift.

While Aurora was thinking, she followed Sisna and walked toward the palace.

Sisna did not say anything and advanced forward as if she did not care much about Aurora. For Aurora sighed inwardly and knew that the only reason why Sisna was smiling at her now was due to the Dragon God’s bloodline. If she only had her identity as the Subila Kingdom’s princess, Sisna would probably not even smile at her.

The elves were already a proud race, and with Sisna being on the cusp of demigod-hood, she was being extremely polite. Moreover, she was not a believer of the Dragon God but a believer of the Silver Moon Goddess.

Thinking that she was about to soon meet her sister, Aurora was a little nervous. How was Alexia going to view this half-sister? Would she be treated with hospitality or would she be treated with coldness?

But no matter what, she would have to meet with this sister eventually.
