I, The Dragon Overlord

Chapter 589 - The Gospel of Mirda

Chapter 589 - The Gospel of Mirda

Sister Mirda lit a candle flame, sprinkled holy water, and served wine in a silver cup. Then she knelt down on both knees under the cross in the sanctuary. She recited words of the Bible and then drank the win in the silver cup in one go.

Wine was the blood of God, and the cup was a sacred vessel of Christian Mass. During the solemn ceremony, Sister Mirda felt her spirit rise up, but in a sense as if she was crossing a different dimension.

She had seen golden trees and silver flowers, countless angels flying in the sky, rivers flowing of milk and honey, and beautiful colored jewels growing from flowers on both sides of the road. This place was like heaven, filled with holiness and peace. If human souls were to come here, then they would forget all their troubles and be with god.

In this sacred realm, Sister Mirda once again beheld the Christ, Louie, who had descended to the mortal realm. He lay in the heights of the heavens, gazing down at Mirda with a gentle and benevolent smile. The Lord parted His lips slightly, and divine words flowed from His mouth. Though Mirda could not comprehend the words spoken by the Lord, her mind miraculously interpreted His message.

After that instance, Mirda felt as if she was in a trance. In the next moment, she realized that she was already back in her body. She felt a little uncomfortable as if she had fallen from a great height.

When Mirda opened her eyes, the huge cross entered her gaze causing tears to spill from her eyes.

She bowed her head deeply in prayer, grateful for the Lord’s blessing.

Soon, Mirda rose from the ground and turned around.

“Sister Mirda?”

Francis I asked carefully as he stepped forward, wondering why Sister Mirda would burst into tears.

“I have seen the Lord.”

Sister Mirda’s words caused the Pope and the priest beside him to be shocked. Then they both revealed looks of envy and sighed, “Sister Mirda is truly favored by the Lord. We have not been blessed by the Lord, it must mean that there is still impiety in our faith.”

“I wonder what the Lord told Sister?”

Sister Mirda contemplated for a moment before she began to describe her experiences and everything she had witnessed in the otherworldly realm, where her soul had ascended. The Pope and the priests were initially taken aback but soon became elated. They hurriedly gathered other nuns and clergy to listen to Mirda's words, documenting every detail she shared.

In the Bible there were numerous accounts of righteous people receiving instructions from the Lord, even walking with God, and recording all that they saw and heard, and that is exactly where the Bible came from.

When the supernatural events occurred, and Christ Louie descended to Earth, people stopped comparing the Bible to ancient myths and legends from other religions. Instead, they began to accept all the stories in the Bible as genuine occurrences. The presence of Christ Louie and the supernatural happenings shifted people's beliefs, making them see the Bible's contents in a new light, as undeniable truths.

These lights and strange sights that Sister Mirda spoke of were becoming the new contents of the New Testament. Perhaps one day there will be a new chapter called the Gospel of Mirda.

“Sister Mirda must have seen heaven. Even you as an angel felt at peace as if returning to the Lord. It is definitely the heaven that we are hoping for.”

The Pope spoke with excitement. He believed that Mirda’s stories would definitely cause a great wave of change once they spread on the internet. It would solidify the Christian faith!

Francis I was well aware that people believed in God not out of fanaticism but also because they hoped to enter heaven after death, seeking the rewards of the afterlife.

God did not care why you believed in Him; what mattered to Him was that you had faith. Mirda's firsthand experience of heaven would undoubtedly strengthen the faith of Christians and encourage them to follow the Lord's guidance even more faithfully. This would likely lead to the further growth and influence of the Church.

Today's Church no longer promotes the monotheistic theory as it once did. With the emergence of numerous gods and supernatural beings, this theory had lost its relevance. However, based on the investigations and research conducted by the Pope into the extraordinary powers present in this world, it becomes evident that regardless of the specific divine pantheon, faith remains a central and crucial aspect.

Whether it was the God Taiyi or the previously appeared Danann gods in England, their messengers, to a greater or lesser extent, encouraged humans to have faith. Amidst the countless divine beings and pantheons, the Christian faith undoubtedly had the largest following. This led the Pope to believe that regardless of conditions on other planets, on Earth alone, the god he believed in must hold a significant advantage. Hence, it was no surprise that there were billions of followers of the Lord on Earth.

“Sister, I wonder what the Lord has revealed?”

After excitedly recording Sister Mirda’s words, Francis I asked a question.

In comparison to the issues and dangers on Earth, the words of the Lord held greater importance for these believers. Even if Earth were to perish, they believed they could ascend to heaven and be with the Lord. Therefore, even if the Earth were to explode tomorrow, as faithful followers of the Lord, they would continue to pray devoutly today.

Mirda closed her eyes as if recalling the words of the Lord when she saw Him in that "heaven". After a moment of contemplation, the nun spoke slowly, “The Lord has spoken! He said that those alien gods are enemies to all living beings. This time, a being named Cthulhu, an outer god, has descended, and matters are related to the Norse Aesir. The Lord instructed me to watch and wait, but when the crucial moment arrives, I should also use the power bestowed by the Lord to intervene and stop those alien gods.”

Upon hearing Mirda's words, Francis I’s expression brightened, and a look of joy appeared on his face. While people around the world and the governments of various nations were puzzled by the appearance of Cthulhu and their rush to Antarctica, their Christian faith had already received divine revelation from the Lord. They knew the origin and circumstances of the situation. This made Francis I even more convinced of the crucial role the Church played in this world.

After thinking about it, Francis I said, “Sister Mirda should act according to the Lord’s instructions. I will go and discuss this with the head of the countries.”

As the leader of the church, Francis I naturally had political literacy. He knew that telling this information to the governments of the various countries would undoubtedly expand the influence of the Church.

As the Pope, he actually only had one task, and that was to work hard to increase the number of believers. He was also to make believers live according to the Lord’s teachings.

Sister Mirda naturally knew the differences in their duties and warmly said, “I will leave these mundane affairs to the Pope, and I shall protect the church and the lambs of the Lord.”

……

At the exact moment, under the scanning and monitoring of many satellites all over the world, the Antarctic continent's area, a hundred kilometers away from the research station, suddenly shook. Under the terrified eyes of all the people observing this continent with satellites, the monster named Cthulhu finally came to the land.
