Chapter 63: Running Away From Home
Qiu Tong’s words made Qiu Xingyuan and Qiu Xingqiao even more certain that Ye Luan was her new favorite.
All her attention was on this person, and she no longer had any feelings for them.
Ever since Qiu Tong decided not to sell them off, Qiu Xingqiao had never heard her reprimand him with such a harsh tone. At this moment, all the grievances in his heart surged.
He glared at Qiu Tong before turning around and running out. Even his back profile appeared to be filled with resentment and anger.
“Xingqiao!”
Qiu Xingyuan looked at Qiu Tong with a pained expression and ran out after Qiu Xingqiao.
“Elder Brother, Second Brother, wait for me!”
Qiu Xingyu panicked and chased after her brothers.
Qiu Xingqiao did not expect Qiu Xingqiao to have such a huge reaction. She rubbed her temples weakly and turned to look at Ye Luan, who was standing by the side with his fists clenched. She sighed silently.
“Stay home and be a good boy. Let Uncle Ke Le treat your injuries. I’ll go find the others.”
Qiu Tong headed in the general direction where the children had run off, asking bystanders on the way if they had seen the kids.
Three children walking along the road like that would attract quite a lot of attention. Not to mention that the three children were very good-looking.
Finally, Qiu Tong intercepted the three children by the side of a major road two blocks away.
“Qiu Xingqiao, you fought with your brother for no reason. Do you still think you did the right thing?”
Qiu Tong crossed her arms and stood before the three of them, looking down at them.
It wasn’t easy for her to bring back the male protagonist Ye Luan, so that these three little villains could benefit from his good karma. But they ended up beating him up on the first day!
Qiu Xingqiao’s small face was filled with indignance. He did not like this brother who had appeared out of nowhere, but he did not want to tell Qiu Tong the truth. He could only stare at Qiu Tong with angry eyes.
Qiu Xingyu hid behind her brothers and blinked her eyes at Qiu Tong. Her big eyes were filled with grievance. She wanted to say something but hesitated.
When Qiu Xingyuan heard Qiu Tong’s words, the corners of his lips curled into a cold smile. He raised his head and looked at her coldly, just like when they first met.
The three children’s behavior reminded Qiu Tong of their suffering and her heart softened.
“Alright, come home with me and apologize to brother properly. We’ll have meat to eat tonight!”
Qiu Xingyuan squatted down and reached out to touch Qiu Xingyuan’s head, but he dodged her.
“You are already going bankrupt just by raising the three of us. Now, you have this Ye Luan. Are you planning to sell us?”
“Unless you send Ye Luan away, we will never return with you.”
Qiu Tong immediately rebutted Qiu Xingyuan.
“Don’t worry. I brought Ye Luan back but I won’t let any of you suffer. I won’t sell any of you either.”
“Ye Luan has nowhere to go. I will never send him away.”
When Qiu Xingyuan heard this, his attitude became even more resolute. The four of them started to argue at the side of the road, and the atmosphere became very tense.
“Leave. We’re not going back.”
Qiu Tong looked at the three six-year-old brats. They were still underage and had nowhere to go. She suddenly changed her stance and pretended to leave.
“Since all of you are so determined, I’ll go back first. After you have thought things through, you can go home by yourselves.”
Seeing that the three children were silent, Qiu Tong decided to just walk off. However, she did not go far and hid at a corner of the street to secretly observe them.
“Elder Brother, Mommy seems to have really left.” Qiu Xingyu looked in the direction Qiu Tong left and felt a little flustered.
“Don’t worry, Elder Brother will take good care of you.”
Qiu Xingyuan’s aura became even colder. He brought his younger brother and sister into a provision store. He approached an amiable-looking woman and blinked his big eyes, pretending to be innocent.
“Auntie, my mother passed away, and I’m homeless now. Can you help me book a room at the hotel? We are very tired. I can pay you too.”
The round-faced woman looked at the money Qiu Xingyuan stuffed into her hands and instantly beamed with joy. She brought them to the nearest hotel and booked a room.
Qiu Tong stared in bewilderment at Qiu Xingyuan’s god-like maneuvering.
She never expected Qiu Xingyuan to do this.
His mother passed away?
How dare he say that!
Qiu Tong sneaked over to the room the children were in and pressed against the door.
When she heard their discussion about Ye Luan, she realized that the children were jealous. She felt sad but also a little pleased.
Qiu Tong skillfully unlocked the door and sat on the edge of the bed, explaining to the three children seriously.
“Ye Luan is just a distant relative who was adopted by our family. Why are you guys jealous?”
However, Qiu Tong had already exhausted the children’s trust in her. Moreover, the boys both believed that she was lying when she said that she went to borrow money from relatives. How could they believe her words?
Qiu Xingqiao even made a call to the front desk.
“A strange auntie barged into our room. Please send someone over and chase her away.”
