Chapter 306

“Mr. Gunnar, please, Mr. Gunnar! Take a moment to calm down!”

Gunnar’s two attendants were at a loss as it was their first time witnessing their young master lose his temper. What could Leah have possibly said to him on the phone?

How could Gunnar possibly calm down? He was seething with anger since Leah somehow managed to find his weak spot to control him.

He couldn’t find peace during nighttime when thinking of Olivia’s mesmerizing beauty ever since he saw her in Irieson.

He had encountered numerous beautiful women, but none could hold a candle to Olivia. Sure, he had met others who came close, but when compared to Olivia, they paled in comparison!

Those who throw themselves at me and those who ignore me are incomparable! I could give up on Olivia and ignore Leah’s words, but I know I will never be content. My whole life would be unfulfilled! Ever since I was born, my life has been perfect since I can obtain whatever I desire. If I were to give up on Olivia, my life would be marred with an irrevocable flaw! I refuse to allow any shortcomings in my life!

After a while, Gunnar finally calmed down. He sat on the couch while taking deep breaths. “Olivia, you are destined to be mine. Anyone who dares to harbor ill intentions toward you will meet their doom!”

In the end, Gunnar made his decision. He requested a phone from one of his attendants and went upstairs to the second floor.

The two attendants swiftly cleared the mess in the room, thus painstakingly collecting the scattered fragments and remnants.

Gunnar dialed his father’s number after returning to his bedroom. “Dad, I have a favor to ask. Please help to solve the issue that the Wilkerson Family is facing at the moment since we’ll need to resolve it sooner or later.”

Gunnar refrained from mentioning that Leah had coerced him into this. If his father were to discover the truth, he would undoubtedly confront the Wilkerson Family to demand justice.

By doing so, his father’s anger could very well be conveyed, but such a display would likely endanger his upcoming marriage to Olivia. He couldn’t bear to let that rare opportunity slip away.

His father, Reuben Flynn, expressed his skepticism. Why should I assist the Wilkerson Family before the marriage to Olivia has even taken place? It seems like a detrimental deal from every angle. “Give me one good reason.”

“I am satisfied with Olivia,” Gunnar replied.

“Alright, I will arrange it. I shall instruct someone to resolve the current crisis for the Wilkerson Family within the next three days.”

Reuben held great affection for his son, so upon hearing that Gunnar was thoroughly content with Olivia, he didn’t think twice. As a father, he was naturally pleased with his son’s happiness.

Furthermore, he regarded the trouble caused by the Wilkerson Family as nothing more than a minor disruption. It could be quickly resolved without exerting much effort. For the Flynn Family, assisting the Wilkerson Family in their crisis wouldn’t entail any significant loss.

Upon hearing his father’s agreement, Gunnar felt highly excited. He immediately called Leah after hanging up the phone as he could hardly contain his eagerness.

As soon as the call connected, Gunnar shared the details and presented his request: he wished to see Olivia immediately.

Leah was surprised. Is the problem that has plagued our family for so long resolved just like that? It seems almost too easy. But now, what is my next move? Olivia pays me no attention, and I don’t dare to snatch her away from Keyshire Property. How can I arrange a meeting between Olivia and Gunnar?

“Madam Wilkerson, what are you implying?” Gunnar asked with dissatisfaction apparent. I had already agreed to her request, but now she is silent. What is going on? Was she playing games with me? I’m not so easily manipulated. Those who have dared to tease me in the past have met a bitter end. I won’t back down even if she is Leah from the Wilkerson Family!

“Oh, I was just sipping water.” Leah quickly made up an excuse to deflect. “Gunnar, do you know Quincy? It’s not that I don’t want to arrange a meeting, but Quincy is obstructing it. I’m afraid to proceed!”

Leah recalled her grandson’s words. Perhaps she could take advantage of this opportunity to provoke a conflict between the Flynn Family and Quincy and use the Flynn Family’s influence to eliminate Quincy!

“Hmph! There’s no need to fear Quincy as he is just a former glory. You just go ahead and make some arrangements!” After discussing it with his father upon returning to Capitalis, Gunnar knew that Quincy would never dare resurface unless Quincy wanted his loved ones to suffer. This gave him no reason to fear Quincy anymore.

Leah had no choice but to speak up. “Well, then, you need to show some sincerity.”

“Leah, let’s not go too far. I’ve already had my father help your Wilkerson Family resolve the crisis. Are you trying to take advantage of the situation?” Gunnar questioned.

“No, no, no, Gunnar, you’ve misunderstood me. What I mean is in pursuing Olivia, you need to show sincerity. You know, she’s not like other girls. She has a strong personality,” Leah explained.

“What do you mean?” Gunnar asked.

“Gunnar, don’t you understand? This is what Olivia herself said. If you want her to marry you willingly, it’s not a problem. But you must put in the effort and demonstrate your abilities in courting her. I believe you can win her over as you’re the Genius of Capitalis. How could such a trivial matter stump you, right? Go for it! Besides, the thrill of conquest will be even more satisfying!” Leah persuaded.

Compared to Leah, Gunnar was as innocent as a lamb since her words easily swayed him.

“Alright! I’ll pursue Olivia with all my might. Haha, it’s becoming more and more intriguing!”

“Go for it, Gunnar! I have faith in you. Olivia works at Keyshire Property, and you should know what to do!” With that, she hung up the phone in satisfaction since everything was proceeding according to her plan. Leah felt that swapping Olivia would be a smooth task for her, and she would handle the switch herself when it was time to take Olivia away.

Gunnar was equally pleased. “Someone!”

The two attendants quickly appeared as they were eager to attend to the young master since his recent outburst had been terrifying, and they didn’t want to incur his wrath.

“Mr. Gunnar, how may we assist you?” the attendants asked.

“Go and buy 9,999 roses for me. Also, prepare a luxurious convoy. Keep in mind that it must be grand. Don’t blame me for being stern if you don’t handle this properly!” Gunnar instructed.
