Tony didn't return home quickly enough, so Peter took his Chinese food and returned home. While he was eating his food in the living room, Peter saw Tony's military friend, James Rhodes, appear on the news talking about some sort of training exercise.

'Did that idiot run into a US fighter jet, like In the movie?' Peter guessed.

After he finished eating, Peter cleaned up and portal'd back to Tony's house, where he found Tony and Pepper having some sort of argument.

"Well, then, I quit!" Pepper tosses a flash drive onto a nearby desk.

"You stood by my side all these years while I reaped the benefits of destruction, and now that I'm trying to protect the people that I put in harm's way, you're going to walk out?" Tony asks in confusion.

"You're going to kill yourself, Tony. I'm not going to be a part of it." Pepper answers back in exasperation.

"I shouldn't be alive unless it was for a reason. I'm not crazy, Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do, and I know in my heart that it's right." Tony explains.

Pepper reluctantly picks up the flash drive from the desk, and lets out a resigned sigh.

"You're all I have, too, you know." Pepper says and goes to leave but Peter was in her way.

"Yo." Peter says with a wave. "What are you two up to?"

"I'm going to infiltrate Tony's office to get proof of Obadiah's crimes." Pepper says, holding up the flash drive.

"Nah, you don't have to do that." Peter says as he snatches the drive from her hand. "I'll be right back."

Technically, Peter already knows everything they'll find in this little excursion. Though having the proof in hand would make it easier for Tony to explain to the authorities.

Before either of them could say anything, Peter activates the anti-camera function of his suit, turns it black, and portals to the rooftop of Stark Industries Headquarters.

Walking down the side of the building, Peter found Tony's office. Using a simple spell to phase through the window, Peter sits at the desk and plugs the flash drive into the PC's USB port.

Instantly, the screen lights up as a red window pops up.

[WARNING!: SECURITY BREACH]

Soon after, some code appears on the screen and the warning disappears.

[ACCESS GRANTED]

While the flash drive did its work, Peter cast a quick locking spell on the door. In the movie, Stane almost catches Pepper doing this. He does, however, find out that she stole the information afterwards.

That probably won't happen this time, unless Tony was sloppy with this flash drive and someone learns of the security breach, which is very unlikely.

Peter didn't care either way. Taking out Iron Monger would be easy. The only reason that Peter is letting things sort of play out is that Tony needs to become the hero he's meant to be.

If Peter were to take care of everything before it happens, Tony may not become Iron Man, which would be a huge disservice to the world.

While Peter was waiting for the flash drive to finish stealing the information on Stane's crimes and plans, the doors handle jiggled. Someone tried to open the door but it didn't budge thanks to Peter's spell.

*Knock Knock*

"Hello, who's in there?" Peter heard Stane's voice ask from the other side of the door.

"Housekeeping!" Peter answered in a fake high-pitched voice.

"Contact security! There's an intruder in Tony's office!" Obadiah yells from the other side of the door.

Smirking at the situation, Peter waits patiently for the flash drive to finish. Meanwhile, he could hear constant banging as the security guards arrived and tried their best to kick the door open.

Sadly for them, the spell Peter placed on the door was keeping it locked and unbreakable. At least, to normal humans.

By the time the download was finished, the security team brought a small explosive to blow the door open. This is the headquarters of a weapons manufacturers company after all.

*Boom!*

The door was blown open and a group of heavily armed security forces rushed in the room like a trained group of navy seals. Walking behind them was Obadiah, who entered the room without a care in the world.

"On the ground now!"

"Hands where I can see them!"

They yelled and swiftly cleared the room, finding nobody but themselves inside.

Walking over to the computer, Stane moved the mouse, causing the screen to light up.

[DOWNLOAD COMPLETE]

"F*ck!" Obadiah yells as he turns to the security. "Lock down the building. I want this person found and brought to me."

——————————————

A portal opens in Tony's house as Peter steps out, finding Tony and Pepper drinking wine on the couch. They seemed very close for a boss and his assistant...

"I feel like I just walked into the start of a porno..." Peter comments, causing the two to instantly slide away from one another.

"It's not like that..." Pepper seemed embarrassed.

"Did it go well?" Tony ignores the situation and changes the subject.

"Yup, here you go." Peter says and tosses the flash drive to Tony.

All three of them moved to the workshop, where Tony plugged the flash drive in and saw the plethora of proof, showing the many crimes and betrayals that the Stark Family friend, Obadiah Stane has committed.

A video showing Raza, who is now deceased, speaking to Stane plays.

"You did not tell us that the target you paid us to kill was the great Tony Stark. As you can see, Obadiah Stane..."

"Oh, my God." Pepper mutters in shock.

"... your deception and lies will cost you dearly. The price to kill Tony Stark has just gone up."

As the video ends, Tony stood rooted in silence as he stared at the screen with a sad and hurt look on his face. Obadiah was practically an Uncle to him growing up, so this turn of events was truly shocking.

The man may have locked him out of his company and sold guns off the books, but Tony didn't expect the guy to be the one behind his kidnapping. Well, technically he wanted Tony dead.

"Tony are you okay?" Pepper asks as she places a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Uh... Yeah, I'm good." Tony mutters as he looks at the rest of the evidence. "Sector 16?"

"It looks like that's where he's building his own version of your suit." Peter comments as he sees the blueprints for Tony's first suit alongside new blueprints for the Iron Monger armor.

"He doesn't have a power source, so he's planning to use my dad's giant arc reactor..." Tony mutters as he sees that Sector 16 is underneath the giant arc reactor that powers Stark Industry Headquarters.

"You should be careful, Tony. I wouldn't put it past him to try and steal your mini-arc reactor. He seems like the kind of guy to snatch it right out of your chest." Peter comments, knowing that Stane did that in the movie. "I'm sure he will want his suit to be wireless sooner rather than later."

Hearing what Peter said, Pepper suddenly had a bad premonition.

"Uh oh..." She muttered.

"What is it?" Tony asked.

"I didn't destroy your first reactor..." She says, talking about the one Tony told her to incinerate. "It's in my office."

"What? Why?" Tony asks incredulously.

"I was going to get it put in a display case and give it to you as a gift, but I never got around to it." Pepper explains as she smacks her hand onto her forehead.

"Do you think Stane would find it?"

—————————————

"What do we have here?" Obadiah comments as a security officer brings him a small palm-sized arc reactor.

"We searched the building for the intruder, but found nobody out of place." The officer says as he gestures to Tony's first act reactor. "That was found in Ms. Potts' office."

"Hmm, thank you, Pepper."

—————————————

"Let's just assume that he has it." Peter says with a shrug. "It's not that big of a deal either way. With me and Tony's combined strength, we can take care of this easily."

"You're right, Let's head out and catch this son of a b*tch!" Tony says as he walks over to his armor, which still had a few bullet holes in it. "Jarvis, when will my suit be ready?"

"It will be ready in half an hour, sir." Jarvis responded as the machines in the room began working in the armor.

"Good, we'll be upstairs. Notify me when it's done."

As the three of them walk upstairs, the doorbell rings, and a video of the front door appears on the TV, showing Agent Coulson waiting patiently.

"This guy can't take a hint, can he?" Tony mutters as he ignores the doorbell.

'Poor Coulson.' Peter thought as he walked to the door and opened it.

Tony wanted to stop him but the door was opened before he could speak or move.

"Mr. Sta..." Coulson starts but sees someone he didn't expect. "Spider-Man, you weren't kidding when you said Tony was your friend, huh?"

"No, come inside, we have a lot to discuss."
