Chapter 883

Cornelia first moved her grandma’s urn into the room, found a place for it, then started to tidy up

At that moment, some people arrived one after another outside the apartment and asked, “Are you Mr. Artis?”

Marcus answered. That’s me.”

The one who appeared to be in charge said, “We are the staff of the housekeeping company and we are now at your service”

Marcus turned to Cornelia and said, “Cornelia, what things do you think need to be cleaned? Fit have them take care of it”

Cornelia replied, “Everything in the living room is junk that Robison dumped there. Have them take it all out.”

Marcus then instructed them, “Clear out everything in the living room”

With all hands on deck from the cleaning service, the mess in the living room was quickly cleared out, providing them with a space to settle in.

Cornelia asked Marcus. “When did you call the domestic service?”

Marcus answered, “When you went downstairs”

Cornelia continued. “How did you know there was stuff to clean up?”

Marcus tousled her hair lightly and said, “The house has been empty for quite a while. It definitely needed a clean–up I just wanted someone to do the cleaning didn’t expect they could double as

movers.”

Cornelia then said, “Robison was a child my grandma adopted. She always treated him like her own son, but he was ungrateful and awful to her. When she fell ill, he didn’t lift a finger to help her, even wanted her money. She was so angry, she cut ties with him. She wanted me to sell this house, but I didn’t because it was her home. I didn’t expect it to be taken over by that couple.”

Marcus comforted her, saying, “Don’t worry, I won’t let them win.”

Just then, the sound of Robison wailing came from the doorway, “Mom… your death was so tragic! You bitch, my mom was doing fine, then you took her out, and now you bring back her ashes. What did you do to her?”

Robison brought a whole crew with him, obviously here to raise hell, “Who opened the door? Who moved my stuff out? These are precious treasures, you won’t be able to afford them if anything goes missing”

Cristina also stamed wailing, “Mom, your death was so tragic. You were fine when you went out with her, but a few months later, you’re reduced to ashes. Cornelia, you ungrateful wretch, what did you do to your grandma for her inheritance?”

Cornelia gave Marcus a wry smile, “Looks like you’ll have to step in again.”

Marcus pulled Cornelia into his arms, holding her tight, saying. “Let me deal with those two. Stay inside.”

Cornelia replied, “I can handle them with legal measures”

Marcus answered, “Legal measures might not work on such shameless people. You might need something more direct.”

Cornelia said worriedly, “Just don’t get hurt.”

Marcus reassured her, “I won’t.”

Granny Luisa chimed in, “Nelly, you probably don’t know this, but Marc has been learning Taekwondo since he was a kid. He’s quite a pro now. He can handle himself”

Cornelia asked, “Marc knows Taekwondo?”

She had been by Marcus‘ side all this time, but had no idea he was a martial arts pro. No wonder he handled that guy who tried to bully her so smoothly last time.

Granny Luisa continued, “Marc has many skills, you’ll get to know him better over time. The more you know about him, the more you’ll like him.”

Marcus interrupted Granny Luisa, “You and Bri take Cornelia back to her room. I’ll handle the situation outside.”

Granny Luisa, “Alright, dear.”
