Chapter 119: Chapter 6: A Small Visit, To Conquer [2]
Lancelot's body flung himself towards the gate, pulling back his right arm as a bloody red flame started to build up, sucking the surrounding ether into his palm.
The garrison defence shot dozens of arrows towards his black and red scaled armour. However, every arrow bounced off harmlessly as Lance t grinned, swinging his claw covered in crimson flames directly towards the gate!
BOOOOOM!
A loud explosion occurred, and the wooden gate broke apart, shattering into dozens of burning pieces before exploding everywhere!
Lancelot flew through the smoke unharmed before landing, turning back with his four wings as his feet touched the ground; the entire courtyard was filled with hundreds of garrison defence that rushed at him, shouting!
"Do not move."
His distorted and demonic voice reverberated through the air, causing them to freeze, trembling with cold sweat pouring down their bodies, fearing for their lives as Lancelot scanned the soldiers closely with a calm expression.
"I have come to conquer this land; surrender and obey me, or fight and die like Baron Svela."
Instantly, many guards threw down their weapons, kneeling with pale faces, while some hesitated for a few seconds before throwing them down, kneeling as Lancelot's gaze locked onto them for a moment.
"Sorry, we do not employ traitors or cowards at Camelot."
The next moment, the courtyard exploded with dark red blades penetrating through the ground and piercing every soldier, with dozens dying instantly as blood erupted everywhere, painting the cobblestone floor red!
Those who tried to run away met a similar fate as Lancelot lifted his right hand, controlling his blades and sending them easily flying towards the guards.
Within 30 Seconds, almost all the remaining garrison defence knelt in fright, terrified that the monster before them would kill everyone else; only two dozen guards remained, glaring at Lancelot angrily but refusing to submit.
'These men have great loyalty, but sadly they will die.' Lancelot knew their type very well as he frowned; stepping forward, the ground cracked loudly from the pressure, causing the resistance to tremble before screaming!
"Die Demon! The Lord will avenge us!"
'That's right, they are demon-hating racists. Haha!'
He took hold of his black greatsword while his golden eye looked towards the walls, wondering why the arrows stopped firing to find Sumika and her twin blades, cutting archers down like slicing warm bread.
At the same time, his enhanced hearing picked up the sound of Marimo's troops having captured the eastern and western gates that seemed to be trying to form some kind of reinforcements to the main force.
'Such strong synergy with these girls, why does fighting feel so peaceful?'
Lancelot dashed forwards, approaching the dozen guards that shouted and swung their swords ferociously, ignoring their fear of his overwhelming power, charging forward like loyal dogs!
His black greatsword cut through steel swords like butter while his left hand ripped through armour, piercing through chests like paper before tossing them aside without care. Within minutes, Lancelot easily killed over ten veteran guards, only twenty remaining, as Sumika jumped down from the wall.
"You seem to be training, even now, Master?" Sumika asked Lancelot as he nodded, killing another guard who rushed at her.
"Yes, it feels peaceful killing these racist scum that would twist the minds of the innocent people of Salazid against me. I do not plan to harm the innocent and villagers; please take your troops and let them know."
"I promise prosperity if they give me their servitude."
Sumika giggled before running past Lancelot, leading her kitsune troops into city grounds, vanishing into shadows.
Lancelot turned towards the remaining guards; they were hesitating after listening to their conversation; they knew Lancelot spoke honestly because Baron Svela used to treat the citizens cruelly, raising taxes, raping beautiful women and torturing the elderly and weak for fun...
The garrison defence was the worst part; they willingly protected Baron Svela while beating the people and stealing food from desperate families to feed themselves greedily...
They had even enjoyed the women once the baron was bored.
Lancelot stood with his back to them, flicking his sword, "Worry not, I won't look for your families or punish them. The sin ends with you; should your sons wish to attack me, I will kill them and only them."
The next moment, he dashed forward, swinging his black greatsword horizontally, splitting the remaining guards into chunks, blood splattering across the courtyard.
"Sumika shall eventually rule Salazid; I trust her to bring prosperity to this city."
"It will take time to train her well, but for now... It's time to conquer this castle and claim it as my first neutral territory." Lancelot muttered, walking away from the slaughter, heading towards the main doors, not paying attention to the hundreds of dead soldiers.
BOOOOOM!
The front doors exploded open as Lancelot casually walked in; guards that attacked Lancelot died just like the rest.
Only three maids survived, kneeling with tears pouring down their faces as Sumika appeared beside him.
"Don't murder them; let them go if they wish. Let's not force people to remain if they wish to leave."

"Yes, Master!"
Lancelot was about to leave when the three women grasped his legs, tears filling their eyes as they trembled as if he was going to kill them.
"P-Please... your lordship... we have no families.... no place to go.... the baron killed all of them."
"W-We beg your lordship to allow us to remain." They pleaded as Sumika watched curiously, surprised that Lancelot stopped and bent down, wiping the tears from the woman's faces gently.
"What are your names?"
"My lordship, my name is Freya."
"Gretal."
"Rosalind..."
They introduced themselves timidly, clinging to Lancelot's legs as he sighed deeply.
However, accepting weak and vulnerable girls like this hurt his heart. Lancelot remembered when the empire fell, and the poor villagers and townsfolk pleaded for mercy; they were cut down.
'Morgana, what can I do?'
[...]
[Will you leave them to me? If willing, I will help them recover from their ailments and restore their dignity as women and living people.]
With a sigh, he left it up to his future queen, the woman who saved him. Although they might pay a price, he was sure they would be happier without their current crippled bodies riddled with illness and scars.
"Freya, Gretal, Rosalind, I will offer you this choice... Should you wish to live your life comfortably and safely? Then serve me with everything, your heart, mind and soul, and I will make you healthy again."
He looked at them with a quiet gaze, the silver and golden eyes revealed as his visor vanished, revealing his handsome face, allowing them to feel less terrified, only a few dragon scales along his cheeks and jawline.
Their teary faces turned into surprise and excitement as Lancelot continued speaking. "However, understand, I am a demon, and if you betray me, you will suffer for eternity... Do you still accept?"
Freya and Gretal looked at each other nervously, unsure about his offer, but Rosalind immediately agreed without hesitation!
"I accept!"
Her tears became lighter as Lancelot stood up; Rosalind followed suit and clung to his legs again, hugging them tightly!
Lancelot didn't push her off and let her cry quietly as Sumika laughed. "Master is such a softy. Hehe."
However, he ignored her tease and petted Rosalind gently; Freya and Gretal watched Lancelot closely before agreeing and hugging his leg, crying silently at the things they suffered, begging him to accept them.
"Good, Sumika, find suitable clothes for these women to wear, and before Morgana gets here, let them rest completely," Lancelot ordered as Sumika bowed respectfully. "As you wish."
"Also, great work; I am very impressed."
His hand gently patted her head before cupping her cheek as the pair gazed at each other, their faces getting closer before Sumika blushed brightly and pulled away, giggling happily.
"Anything for Master!"
Sumika gently grabbed Freya, Gretal and Rosalind before taking them deeper into the castle to find clothes. Lancelot watched them leave silently as Morgana materialised beside him, causing Lancelot to turn and ask curiously.
"So? Will you accept them?"
"Of course~ Darling's kindness is endless, isn't it?~" Morgana laughed quietly as she circled Lancelot with an enchanting laugh, pressing herself against his arm before kissing his cheeks gently.
"Something is interesting about Rosalind, Darling~ I can't wait to have her reborn, fufu."
Lancelot nodded as she disappeared before leaving the castle to deal with the rest of Salazid's occupants; he already knew Sumika and Marimo had control over most of the situation, leaving only a few areas that might be an issue.
Behind him were over fifty frost hares, thirty half-elves and the succubi and angels, who sat on the wall watching him with bright faces.
'Well, a powerful lord means they might have a chance to gain Avalon's blessing...'
'A single wish for each race of the one crowned king, huh...'
He turned his body and looked at the slowly setting sun, feeling that time passed too quickly, and he wanted to return home again; the night with Marimo ended too soon, and they returned before he could enjoy it.
'Maybe I should take her back to the empire for a few days?'
Lancelot didn't realise that he looked quite dashing when thinking to himself; the beautiful wings on his back danced along with his thoughts while his visor was removed, showing his neat human features and the dragon and incubi features from the scales and charm.
'Next, I must focus on fortifying Salazid and training Sumika, Marimo, Morgana and Meru... I also need to improve myself.' Lancelot thought carefully about his next steps, planning to strengthen his army before beginning the conquest of nearby cities and villages...
Yet, it would take time to reach this stage.
Nevertheless, Lancelot felt confident that Sumika, Marimo, Morgana and Meru would grow tremendously, becoming unmatched existences he could rely on to support his vision and kingdom...
However, Lancelot knew it wouldn't be easy; hardships and problems would appear, but together with Sumika, Marimo, Morgana and Meru, he could overcome any obstacle...
This was the foundation for an unstoppable force that would change Avalon, starting with Salazid...
