Chapter 261: The Truth Of The World
Chapter 261: The Truth Of The World
...….
BLING!
A bright flash of crimson light erupted from a corner of the battlefield. For but an instant, time itself froze in place.
And when it unfroze, an entity of unbelievable proportions appeared in the middle of the opposing forces. His gaze looked down upon everything like it was all beneath him. And without giving even the slightest warning, he snapped his fingers.
That was all it took for every single tribesman to get transported back to where they came from. Their memories of the Leviathan God no longer existed, and their lives would likely continue as per usual, all without ever remembering the one who saw them as nothing more than obstacles…
"..."
Azmodeus shot his cold gaze in the direction of the glitchy, fiery red and blue beast, wondering how a man with such immense aspirations was reduced to this state.
It also got him thinking that maybe, just maybe, he would've ended up with a similar fate if he wasn't able to escape the grasp of the 10 True Astral Principality Princes.
Such a thought put him in an extremely profound state as he lightly waved his hand, unraveling the Berserker mode of Harkath.
The colossal man had all the strength leave his body, and he fell to the hard, cold ground with a large thud, causing the ground to cave in beneath him.
FWAZIP!
Azmodeus used his telekinesis to pull the now 2 meter-long man out of the crater, as he had him come less than 5 feet away from him.
"Wake up, Harkath." He spoke with a calm voice.
-
'Is someone calling my name…? But who? Why? For what reason?'
The Leviathan God was lost within the deep misty morass that was his mind, and he wasn't able to find his way out…
He was stuck… stuck on the goals that everyone told him to give up on…
He didn't want to give up! He never wanted to give up!
But with the vicissitudes of time taking him away in its ever present grasp, his goals faded into the background. They were instead replaced by a hatred beyond reason, one deeply rooted in the very core of his being!
'I will find the bastard that created this world… and when I do… I WILL KILL HIM!!!'
CRACK—
The world of his mind started to shatter at the release of his thunderous, hatred-filled words!
That was when he heard it again…
"Wake up, Harkath."
That same rapsy, emotionless voice—one that reminded him of what he envisioned his maker to sound like.
Such a voice caused his aura to emanate at an even greater degree as the airspace around his mind cracked even further, verging upon complete destruction!
'I Will Kill You, You Son of a Bitch!!!' He roared, thrashing around in a figurative cocoon of his own making.
Harkath wanted to reach the voice!!! He wanted to kill the owner of the voice!!!!
He Would Kill Them!!!!
"I said wake up, Harkath!!"
CRACK—
SHATTER!
With the utterance of an impatient voice, the world of his mind could no longer take it anymore, as Harkath was shot back to life!
"!!!!"
Upon making it back to the world of the living, the first thing he did was throw the strongest punch he could muster!
"DIE!!!" He bellowed, his fist plummeting toward the crimson-haired man like a nuclear cannon!
"Why bother?"
Following the release of an apathetic voice, the energy surrounding the barreling fist was dispersed as easily as that. The momentum behind it was still there, but upon making it to Azmodeus's firm chest, it might as well have been a cotton punch.
"!?!?!?" After seeing that his full-power attack had no effect, Harkath backed away from the scene and looked at his steaming fist with a perplexed glint in his eyes.
"You need not worry about your power, because it is still there. I simply took away your access to such volatile energy while we're having our discussion."
"???" Question marks shot off inside Harkath's head as he finally got a good look at the person who had been speaking to him.
Without even needing to verify it, he instinctively knew exactly who this extraordinarily handsome man was.
"God…" His voice seethed with an untold degree of hatred, and just as he was about to go Plus Ultra, a voice stopped him in his tracks.
And by that, it was done quite literally…
FWIZIP!
Azmodeus took control over the motor functions of the towering man as he had him sit down in an illusory blue chair that he conjured up.
He placed both Harkath's chair and his chair in between a small circular table. At the center of this table, there was a glass screen. This glass screen was made using technology beyond the very fabric of reality, and it was currently being used to replay a few events for the Leviathan God.
"Why don't you take a good, long look at the history of this 'Pandora' for yourself? A world that was created by something far beyond even my understanding…"
Azmodeus let the events play out as they happened, with the glass screen acting as the conduit for which this could be accomplished.
"???" Harkath was confused and angry at first, but upon seeing the world start as nothing more than a 20-meter-wide plot of land, his expression went through many different stages.
After the rapidly flashing scenes of evolution came to a close, Harkath's face turned white as a sheet of paper. His large body slumped into the back of his chair as he looked up at the stars with a listless gaze.
"A higher world… Pandora is part of a higher world… So the World Transfiguration that happened all those Epochs ago…-"
"It was but one of many, and it won't be the last to come." Azmodeus finished his mumblings with an informative tone, gauging the reactions of this frog at the bottom of a well.
He expected anger or disbelief, but contrary to his expectations, only sorrow remained on the scarred man's face.
"You are sad…?" He asked.
"My world… It is just one of countless more… And yet, my lifespan has come to an end… I no longer have any time left in this world…" Harkath despondently mumbled, his eyes losing every ounce of fire they once had.
