Chapter 91: A Cat!?
Chapter 91: A Cat!?
...…
In the blink of an eye, 10 years had passed.
Today marked the day that the Crimson Devil God's youngest disciple reached her 18th birthday, and it was also the day in which she would venture into the outside world and find her own path.
Or at least, that was how it was supposed to go…
But when Azmodeus asked her if she was ready to head out and explore, she replied, "No, thank you. I would prefer to stay here and cultivate with you, Master."
"Is there a reason?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Are there any places out there with as nice a benefit package as this one?" Rou Tian asked.
"Probably not, but don't you want to-"
"Then no, I wish to stay here with you, Eldest Mother, and Second Mother."
Following this response, she closed her eyes and went back to cultivating, attempting to breakthrough from the Golden Core Realm into the Nascent Soul Realm.
*Sigh…*
Azmodeus let out an exasperated sigh before giving up on the disciple that was way too similar to himself, as he walked away from the country-toppling beauty and made his way toward the other two troublesome, all the more beautiful women.
They never seem to age… In fact, why do they always appear more beautiful every time I see them…?
As his thoughts veered in a certain direction while conversing with both of them, some big movements were being made between the conflicts of the Razgod Empire, the River Serpent Sect, the Ice Goddess Sect, and the Judoka Sect.
All of which were absolute Apex forces of the Northern Spirits Continent, and all of whom were constantly going at each other's throats!
A few weeks ago, one of the Grand Elders of the River Serpent Sect personally acted, and when he did, trillions of miles of land forever disappeared from the territory of the Judoka Sect…
This caused relations between the two opposing factions to sour even further, eliciting the Judoka Sect to make a big decision and call for an alliance with the Razgod Empire.
Such an alliance would eventually lead to an all out war of never-ending bloodshed…
And to think that it all developed into this because a Young Master of the Judoka Sect decided that he fancied one of the granddaughters of the River Serpent Sect's Fourth Grand Elder.
The Young Master in question had kidnapped and r*ped the Grand Elder's daughter a few months ago.
After the Grand Elder learned of this travesty done to his favorite granddaughter, he rushed over to the Judoka Sect in a flying rage, and in that rage, a decent chunk of the Judoka Sect had evaporated!
Although the wounds done to the earth could heal with the assistance of a few powerful Tribulation Transcendance Realm Cultivators, the damage done to millions of affiliate sects and kingdoms could never be undone…
And there was, of course, the fact that the Young Master of the Judoka Sect, someone hailed as a once-in-a-million-year genius, was killed slowly and cruelly by the River Serpent Sect's Grand Elder.
It was this event, among many others, that led to the burning of all bridges between the two factions and subsequently between the Ice Goddess Sect and Razgod Empire as well.
All of this was to say that many sinister plans were being concocted in the shadows of plots of land that stretched on for quadrillions of miles of lush earth…
However, for a certain Crimson Devil God cultivating his life away inside his Cave Abode, the only thing on his mind was whether or not he should try cracking open the meteorite he found a dozen years ago.
-
"It has been so long, and I still can't figure out what exactly it is that's so special about this large stone…"
With an intrigued gleam in his eyes, Azmodeus gazed at the twenty-meter-long meteorite that looked exactly the same as it did ten years ago.
Even after such a long period of time, the amount of energy contained within the stone had not diminished in the slightest. In fact, it appears to have grown to a substantial degree.
He continued his scrutiny of the stone, his body taking swift steps around it using his 'Flash Step' technique.
It was a technique that he personally developed, and it was also something meant to make the most use of his extraordinarily fast speed.
Although it was only of the Late-Earth Rank, it was still capable of being ranked up, and even with its relatively low rank, it was able to increase his overall instantaneous speed far beyond what it was without it.
Nevertheless, he used this technique to take a few circles around the meteorite, attempting to locate something that might lead to him understanding exactly what it was that was producing all the overly condensed Qi.
And after a few seconds of glancing at every inch of the stone, a hint finally presented itself before him!
"Is that a hole?" He asked, his eyes focused on a slight keyhole in the shape of something that closely resembled the bookmark he found in the Logs of the Timeless Immortal.
After locating this key hole, he took out an esoteric bookmark from his storage ring, looking over the mysterious symbols inscribed all over it before walking to the key hole and inserting it inside.
Following the placement of this bookmark, he waited for something to happen, and it didn't take long as the bookmark vanished from thin air before phasing its essence into the keyhole, resulting in a bright flash of purple light erupting from the meteorite!
BLING!
It blinded everything in the vicinity with its overwhelming sheen before eventually dying out, as something truly unexplainable was left in its place…
"Is that a cat…?"
Azmodeus was looking at a small cat that seemed to be no older than a few weeks; its fur was as white as freshly laid snow, while its eyes were clearer than the vast, boundless sky that blanketed the world.
This cat slowly got up from its curled-up ball position as it turned its cute face in the direction of the immortal-like man before the craziest thing happened…
