Chapter 423 - A Vast Number of Abilities
In the Southern Region of the Celestial Realm where Behemoths proficient in the Law of Water resided, the powerful beings from the Scholar’s guild had gathered into a nondescript area underground as they finalized their spatial connection and made sure that nothing was out of place!
"Agrus, you are sure that even with the Celestial’s method in the Law of Fate, they would not be able to discern what we are doing here?"
Malthus, the Spatial Magician from the Scholar’s Guild asked Agrus, the ’Walking Library’, who was relaxing in the cold underground area without a worry. The relaxing Malthus replied while stretching his hands, his eyes gazing upon the structures that a few figures had already begun building in the wide space they were in.
"Just as the Celestials have their own mysterious abilities and means, increasing their power over the last thousand years- so have we!"
He spoke with a slightly passionate expression as he pushed the glasses on his face up, his hand reaching into his robe as he pulled out a dark pulsing object that caused the expression on Malthus to change.
"That is...the Chaos Wand?!"
"Sadly no, just an imitation of it. But this is more than enough for our uses to evade the eyes of the Celestials as we build a connection that will be able to stably transfer both materials and eventually beings to our nearby bases that aren’t under the gazes of Celestials."
Malthus’s gaze was still on the glowing dark stick as he asked once more, knowing full well the history of such an object that his partner held!
"What did you say to the Elders for them to hand you a Chaos Wand, even if it is an imitation..."
His gaze was that of envy as he looked at this powerful weapon, Agrus chuckling as he replied.
"The Scholar’s Guild is one that operates on knowledge and power. After those old Wizards were hit with such losses from being utterly unprepared to counter attack the techniques of Celestials in the past war, they have been dutifully moving, this time associating too much with the Infernal Lords as they have been gaining large benefits in knowledge and items such as this..."
Argus revealed secretive information as Malthus nodded his head unwillingly and sighed, knowing the treasure in his friend’s hand was something extremely valuable, actually being the main thing that would render the eyes of the Celestials and their powerful techniques powerless in this region they were in!
This was a weapon that was simply an imitation designed from the knowledge that the powerful Scholar’s Guild had been collecting since their defeat a thousand years ago, working closely with the beings proficient in Chaos, the Infernal Lords, to get to a new level of power that gave them a level of confidence against any future wars!
This was the level of power of the Scholar’s Guild, one of the forces besides the Vampyre Clans holding the Alliance of the Dark Expanse together.
Those that were knowledgeable called the powerful beings in the Scholar’s Guild Magicians, some called them Warlocks and Witches, with others even calling them mages! But those truly knowing the truth behind the scenes would know them as those with Blessed Knowledge, beings that were extremely proficient in magic as they used powerful weapons to channel the universal laws to their will!
This Chaos Wand that the ’Walking Library’ Argus held was one of these powerful weapons that was drenched in the Law of Chaos, granting a shade from the powerful skills under <<Herald of Fate>> that the Celestials could use.
Agrus had a profound expression as he continued to reply to Malthus.
"There is a great deal of things in this wide Galaxy of ours, and Celestials do not hold all of them. There is a vast abundance of abilities that even they do not know. What the old fogeys at the top of our Guild are trying to do now is prevent the further advancement of these Celestials to the point that even with our knowledge, we will not be able to compete."
Malthus nodded as his body glowed with a silver light, continuing to layer more and more runic signs onto a huge portal as he completed their project with ease.
"Our entrance into this Celestial Realm that I suspect to be near the center of our Galaxy is one of them, with many other projects that even I do not know."
"What about the being moving with Elena, the one known as Noah Osmont?"
Malthus asked the Walking Library more questions as he wondered of the being they had knowledge to have entered the ranks of Celestials as he slowly moved. Agrus thought of this for a bit before he replied.
"He is just one of the cards that the Vampyres Clans are playing, with their aim being a special being that is locked within the 7th Celestial Star. But he is surprisingly rising fast within the ranks of Celestials that now his name has even reached the fogeys at the top of the Scholar’s Guild, working hard to discern how they can use him after he also made our entrance into the Celestial Realm even easier."
A shocking reply came from the Walking Library as he talked about someone that not many beings fully understood yet!
Agrus had a careful expression as he continued.
"Though I feel there is something else with him. Elena is too careful when it comes to any information about him, and she is the one that has direct contact with him."
"Oh? You think the Silver Beauty has fallen for the charms of this upcoming genius?"
Malthus asked with a smile as Agrus continued to lazily stare at the completed connection in front of them.
"Who knows. She hasn’t even been replying to my communications these past few days after letting me know she would be busy. Come on, let’s focus on completing our work, we already have too many Behemoth materials to transport."
The beings of the Dark Expanse continued moving as more and more entered the Celestial Realm, beginning their own search and collection of the treasures in this wide realm as they also planned for the future!
Within their discussions was a being they considered a minor figure, someone they knew to be called Noah Osmont and also had the secret identity as Crixus the Destroyer! Very few higher ups in the Vampyre Clans and the Scholar’s Guild knew of this information, but they simply placed this being a small piece to be played in the much grander puzzle that was chaotically moving all these years!
Many of them were very wrong on exactly what level of a role this being would play in the months and years to come!
