Chapter 32: Classes Of Cybernetic Fighters 1

"Hmmm, talk of a lucky group..." Hael mused to himself, thinking about the Orcano group.

While they have been laughed at by the world for their funny and stupid idea, now they had dominated Earth, as even just arriving at the world, he had heard the name Orcano more than ten times now.

"It wasn't luck, it was as a result of dedication to one's passion, and doing the impossible no matter how the world perceives it..." Captain Aliea corrected as Hael gave a deep nod.

She was right.

"With the cybernetic transformation being successful, humanity, which had been sent to the far end of Earth, was able to rise once more, and with their new power which could rival even magic, they pushed back the Eldritch, and took back what was stolen from us..."

"I'm very curious. How can... technology rival something like magic!?" Hael asked with a raised eyebrow as Captain Aliea smiled proudly.

"A very good question, which is incorrect. The better question is, how did technology manage to reign over magic?" Captain Aliea corrected as Hael shook his head.

"Of course, the metals present on Earth and formerly used for its technology weren't possible for Cybernetic transformation. That was one of the things that humanity learned from its first set of failures.

The success of our Cybernetic transplantation is ironically also due to the Eldritch..."

"Huh?" Hael couldn't help but be shocked by that.

"When the dimensional rift opened up in the sky, and the Eldritches came in, they weren't the only thing that came in. Their source of energy, which is commonly referred to as Mana, also came in.

Something that was ignored by them because they knew we couldn't cultivate it due to our special physique..." Captain Aliea said as Hael shook his head once more.

He had never seen someone so eager to defend its race in all forms like Captain Aliea before.

"But they were mistaken. While we truly can't harness Mana due to our supreme forms, we were able to harness magic present in the metals! The metals on our ground became even more durable, reaching a level that we have never before seen.

Our technology which formerly used to get slashed apart with a single claw slash from them, was now able to withstand their attacks without a single dent! Our bullets and swords which used to bounce away from their body, could now rip them apart with a single pierce.

But even though we could now at least harm them, it was useless with their horrifying speed and power, and so we also took it up a notch.

We began fusing with these metals and created technologies which were formerly impossible.

Our bones, which were formerly incapable of withstanding a simple slash without getting ripped apart, were strengthened hundreds of times by Nanotech.

Our eyes, which only formerly saw their mirage and then a splash of our own blood and our body lying helplessly on the ground, without a neck, could now accurately track their movement from more than 500 meters away, and even through obstacles.

We developed armor suits capable of withstanding their attacks, and developed ourselves a vastly strengthened and new body which is in not a single way inferior from theirs.

And we also created magic nullifying weapons that can slash through the most powerful of magic and rip open the most hardened of scales!

These events, we humans call, the Karma Era!" Captain Aliea said as the images on the holographic changed, revealing humans clothed in armors fighting off Eldritches and this time, with the bodies of the Eldritches piling on the ground instead.

"Era of Karma..." Hael mused to himself.

"And tomorrow you will also be embarking on this path. The path to fully regaining what has been deprived from your forefathers, and making their deaths worth it." Captain Aliea said heroically as Hael gave a nod of approval, even though he wasn't quite feeling the same way in his head.

"But before that, you must know well of the various Cybernetic classes of fighters that exist, and also undergo a test to know which best fits you.." She said as the holographic rapidly changed and three images appeared.

"There are three classes of the Cybernetic fighters. The first is a Gunslinger..." She said, pointing to one of the images where a man wearing armor and holding two pistols in his hands could be seen. With a larger gun behind his back, and another two hung beside his waist. He reeks of guns and had a fierce and very alert expression on his face.

"Just as the name suggests, the Gunslingers are the cybernetically enhanced humans who use weapons as their main weapon of attack.

They have been built to have overwhelming precision and accuracy, which makes the majority of their fusion based on their eyes and the remaining art based on their leg for instantaneous movement speed to react to surprises and incredible agility to move away quickly.

Not only can they fight close combat, they can also fight from the distance using their guns like snipers, making them well-rounded. Besides, they are the fastest among all Cybernetic fighters and could prevent their enemy from getting close to them, with their weapons.

With such advantages, the Gun Slingers are the largest group of cybernetically enhanced humans in the world, with 70% of all cybernetic fighters being cyber gunslingers. Besides, it is also the least risky of fusion, which makes it even more enticing.

And your survival increases based on the more destructive your guns are, and the grades of your cybernetic fusion..." Captain Aelia said as Hael gave repeated nods.

The Gunslingers seemed to possess quite the advantages.

"So, everyone who went on the mission, the last time were all gun slingers!?" Hael asked, remembering the crew, and Captain Aliea gave a nod.

"I am also a Gunslinger..." She said and Hael gave a nod. He could remember her really being good at using guns.

"The next group of Cybernetic fighters are the Tanks!"
