Damn it!
Yang Zhen was startled by this sudden intruder.
He’d just crawled out from the storm, not even having had the chance to survey his surroundings or figure out if he was standing on grass or stone. He had just noticed a pair of feet when he was given an almost lethal fright.
Yang Zhen looked into the eyes of the stranger, and as their gaze met, he realized the guy seemed even more startled than him. His eyes bulged, his hair stood on end, lifting up his hood, and with a loud cry, he jumped back. His True Essence exploded with terror, his longsword dancing with multiple strokes, his attention fixated on Yang Zhen, “What do you want?”
As agile as a startled rabbit, for real now.
Yang Zhen was baffled. Glancing left and right, he saw only this stranger on the scene, apparently without any companions.
But the man was strangely ominous, draped in a black cloak, his face barely visible beneath the hood — brought into relief only when his hair startled upward. Emanating from him was an eerie, foreboding aura so palpable that he practically had, “I am a Bad Guy,” written on his forehead.
“It was a misunderstanding, definitely a misunderstanding!”
Yang Zhen quickly stood up, adopting a serious tone, “Fellow practitioner, I meant no offense. I was merely looking for a place to, um, relieve myself, and some damn prick kicked me from behind, so I ended up… flying over here!”
“Hmph!”
The man in the black cloak grunted, clearly having no interest in Yang Zhen’s rambling. After seeing Yang Zhen was alone, the longsword in his hand suddenly emitted a loud hum and, agile as a snake, darted towards Yang Zhen.
Hastily turning, Yang Zhen bolted, exclaiming, “What in the world, resorting to violence out of nowhere? What did this Sao Saint do to you? What kind of behavior is this?”
“With your sneaky look and shifty behavior, you can’t be up to any good. Since I caught you, you might as well die!”
Boom!
The man’s words had barely finished when a bolt of lightning flashed from his sword. With lightning speed, it hurtled towards Yang Zhen.
The terrifyingly chaotic wave of energy, comparable to a thunderbolt, made Yang Zhen quickly swivel his buttocks to just barely dodge this deadly sword stroke.
“Damn it, you’re playing for real, if you attack again, I, Sao Saint, will retaliate!” Yang Zhen cried out, turning around and was promptly shocked.
Seeing that his sword stroke had not killed Yang Zhen, the man’s eyes started to turn blood-red. His aura became more sinister, dark light flickering around him. As if a myriad of ghosts were howling around him, he vanished into thin air, leaving behind a string of dark light trails, completely disappearing.
Yang Zhen was taken aback and looked doubtfully at the empty sky, feeling as if a million alpacas cursing their mothers were rampaging through his brain.
What the hell was going on?
Damn it, did I accidentally stumble upon you sneaking around bothering women? Is all this killing necessary?
Even deploying the vanishing technique, what beef do you have with me?
The more Yang Zhen thought about it, the angrier he got. In his fury, he couldn’t hold back any longer. With a loud bang, countless Yang Zhens appeared in mid-air, blanketing the sky. Another huge bang, and the ground was also filled with figures of Yang Zhen, lifelike and indistinguishable from the real one.
“Damn it, damn it, damn it…”
“Get out here for Sao Saint, get out here for Sao Saint…”
His earth-shattering yelling seemed to stun the man in black, who reappeared in mid-air, looking dumbstruck at the countless Yang Zhens filling up the world.
“Shadow Clones, no, this is impossible!”
The man in black seemed truly scared stiff, standing there, dumbly frozen in mid-air, not knowing where to put his hands or feet.
All the Yang Zhens took a deep breath and simultaneously grinned, almost scaring the man shitless. Suddenly a black light burst out, about to escape, but then a Yang Zhen kicked him in the waist from behind. He stumbled, performing a perfect textbook faceplant.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Countless Yang Zhens vanished in mid-air, these were all Shadow Clones, although they possessed the same aura and momentum, they lacked significant offensive power. They were merely used to deceive others.
Yang Zhen squatted down before the man in black robes, who was still on the ground struggling desperately, and said, “What’s your grudge against me? Tell me just how much you hate this Sao Saint, damn it! Your ninjutsu, I can do it too!”
The man in the black robes laying on the ground suddenly deflated, completely disappearing from sight.
“Damn, fire release!”
Yang Zhen twisted his mouth around and with a roar, the Golden Lotus Heavenly Fire exploded, directly blasting a shadowy figure into the air. It fell to the ground with a thud, not only was its back out of alignment but even its hair was burned off. The cloak was alight with flickering flames before it, too, disappeared with a swoosh.
Yang Zhen thought this was quite amusing, it was like a game of whack-a-mole.
When he released his psychic powers, he was shocked to discover that the man was trying to flee. Suddenly, he bellowed, “Damn it, earth release!”
Boom!
Yang Zhen stomped heavily on the ground. A giant earth dragon rose suddenly from the ground, rumbling towards the man in the black robes.
The man in the black robes seemed startled, and he snorted coldly, leaping up from the ground. However, before he could even finish snorting, a giant earthen hand erupted horizontally from the ground, smackings him back down.
This was a heavy hit. This practitioner, who was only at the Tribulation Crossing Period, couldn’t even get back up. His eyes were flashing with a horrified look as he gazed at the advancing Yang Zhen, edging back in terror.
Yang Zhen suddenly felt something was off. This man’s language, behaviour, and strategies were all very different from the ordinary, especially his cultivation method, which was particularly evil, with a focus on assassination techniques. Could he not be from Northern Island?
“You still want to fight?”
Yang Zhen squatted down in front of the man in the black robe and asked, staring into his bloody red eyes, “What the hell are you…”
Slap!
Yang Zhen slapped the man in the black robe across the face. His entire body shook as his head twisted, a spike flew out of his mouth with a sonic boom, shooting off into the distance.
Upon hearing this terrifying sound, Yang Zhen’s eyes went wide, “Damn, he had a pretty good mouth trick. If you have any skills left, use them. We are all busy folks, saving any time we can.”
The man in the black robe had no expression on his face as he looked at Yang Zhen, blood filling his eyes until there were no pupils visible at all, he said in a deep voice, “Motorola Immortality!”
Sss!
The sound of leaking air echoed. The man in the black robes looked like a deflated balloon, with mysterious black smoke coming from his mouth, as he shrunk down completely.
Yang Zhen had no idea that this thing could deflate. He was sprayed all over his face, which startled him. He quickly took out some clean water to cool himself down.
Once he was sure that there were no abnormalities, Yang Zhen wiped his face, looking dumbfounded at the man in the black robe who was now nothing more than skin and bones, feeling as sick as if he’d been swearing for half a day.
This was absolutely bizarre. This Motorola character, ever since they met, had been hell-bent on killing him. Yang Zhen himself wasn’t even trying to kill him, yet the man had just popped and died all by himself. It was truly bizarre.
Then, a thought struck Yang Zhen. Even if he wasn’t the first to enter the Ancient Ruins, he’d only be slightly behind Han Yan’er and Hua Youyue. Yet, upon entering, the first thing he encountered was this peculiar creature. Could this creature be one of the first to enter the Ruins, those who triggered the Sacred Law’s restrictions?
A sinister practitioner at the Tribulation Crossing Period could not possibly activate the Sacred Law to such a terrifying degree. So could it be that there were others similar to this Motorola character?
Well, that’s interesting. If there were many characters like this who were always ready to fight to the death, the Ancient Ruins could get a whole lot livelier.
Just then, Yang Zhen’s face suddenly changed. He ripped his shirt open to reveal a strange cyan glyph flashing under his skin.
Yang Zhen’s eyes bulged out and he cursed, “What the hell? What is this?”
