Chapter 911: The golden demoness's advices

[Eon's POV: ]

[{ "I still have no idea why she has a whip in her hands." }]

[{ "Don't try to make sense of things with her. Just like those clothes she is wearing right now, there is no point of some of the things that she does many times." }]

We were in my room right now and it was locked from inside at the moment.

There were only the three of us here, Rein, mom, and me.

Mom was wearing a very unique, very fashionable red dress that– was too attractive.

We were in the house and there were only the three of us here so there was no point in a dress like that but, just like the whip that she was holding, that dress did not serve any great purpose at the moment.

It was merely there for the show.

She likes doing cosplay since she only gets to do it when she is alone with dad or when she is at Anna's tea party or when on special occasions like this one.

She is sometimes very uncertain, so there is no point in even logically thinking why she would wear such unmatching jewels or shoes with such a pretty dress… but just like that whip, it did not serve any great purpose to the main point here.

It was just there because she wanted it. We were here to get a special lecture from her. And that was all there was to This.

"Alright you two. No talking."

She was also wearing glasses… they suit her well, actually, but they also did not mean much to this whole setup.

"Let us start."

She was doing makeup by herself since a few minutes ago, and now that she was done putting on some bright red lipstick, a shade that seemed the most off the place in this whole thing she was wearing right now, but whatever.

Just like the whip, this did not mean much either.

"You two know about the basics of the grand conference, what kind of people you will meet there, what you will have to keep in mind when you present all the materials and stuff, and what you should expect from the spectators.

But, today, I will be telling you about the kind of jerks that you will have to face and endure in the conference."

She had presented in the grand conference before so she had direct experience of what happens there and what kind of people gather there.

She was lucky to have a very minor and uninteresting topic to present so she was not bothered by them much, but as someone who had attended the conference before more than once, she knew well just what kind of things happen there.

[{ "Mother Nol is very unique sometimes." }]

[{ "As I said earlier, just ignore her." }]

[{ "Just earlier she was talking about their red room-." }]

[{ "As I said! Just ignore her." }]

She wanted us to spend some quality time in their personal room… there was no need for those crazy things.

We weren't there yet, so avoiding that stuff was the best. Rein was interested in those things… but she knows there is no way we will be playing with those toys anytime soon.

"You two know I can tell when you are chatting through your connection, right?"

"Of course, mom."

So, everything aside, there is one thing that one needs to remember before we delve deeper into this whole thing– she knew what she was doing.

Her kinks on one side, she was an absolute professional when it came to dealing with humans.

"Then shut up and listen. This is important stuff… a lot more important given the sensitivity of your topic this time around."

"Yes mom."

She was serious even though she was dressed like that. That alone was proof enough how much she cared about all this and the things that we will be doing in that place, among all those people, with all those eyes on us.

"So… the jerks."

She cleared her throat and started the projection screen that she had made me prepare beforehand.

"First of all, we will divide the jerks that attend this conference into three broad categories. You have to remember these three main categories even if you forget the other things– not that you will forget these important things, but just be careful of these three kinds."

On the projection screen, three uneven shapes that gave off disrespect appeared first.

"The first are the old bastards that think they are Omniscient. They will ask you stuff that you would not have expected even with your most dedicated preparations."

Some faces appeared on the screen– which were blank. Those were just outlines of the faces that she could not show us directly, but we recognised who these people were.

"They are the worst kind of jerks. But if you know how to shut them and how to fuck them over beforehand, they will not bother you much during your presentation."

She was using curse words, which was rare coming from her, but that was the persona she had embodied in this situation.

'She knew how to roleplay… I will give her that much.'

Sometimes I wonder how much they might have suffered when they didn't get to play like this when I was younger and we lived in the old house on the outskirts.

Did they do these kinds of things there as well?

It was a fascinating question to me…

"The second kind of jerks are the conflicting factions."

She continued with her presentation and some new outlines of individuals appeared on the screen, which wasn't that recognizable this time around.

"Your presentation topic is very important and there will be some people who will ask you genuine questions.

You will have to answer them as well as you can to convince them and place your point, it will help you later on.

However, opposed to these people, there will be people who have a personal grudge on the person asking these valid questions.

And they are the most annoying ones."

There was a certain kind of anger in her eyes this time that definitely seemed personal to both of us.

She seemed to have suffered because of these kinds of people, so she was more careful while telling us about this kind.

"These bastards will ask you pointless questions. Like, actual pointless questions that won't be related to anything that you are saying.

They will not care how important the situation at hand is or how much your presentation and findings might affect the world or them.

The moment they get any chance to get back at the person asking valid questions, they will take their chances and do what they want without caring about the rules, or the others present.

Everyone hates that kind of person, but under the circumstances, unexpected people also become one of those, so just be careful of them.

They might not be bad people overall, but the unresolved things between two parties can become a big distraction in this conference."

"Noted."

There were rules and regulations, but everyone present there had the right to ask the questions… until the ones in the highest positions holding the most powers asked them to shut up, everyone present there was allowed to question any point of any part of any presentation.

But since the people who gather there were of high standings and those who possess enough influence in the world to change the course of world flow, they know when to speak and when to not.

'And if there still are cases where people have to suffer because of such people, it just shows the fragility of mortal ego. We just can't let go of some things.'

I'm not a good person, so I pretty much understand what their reason and reasoning might be behind doing those kinds of things. But, that understanding is on one side and the circumstances on another.

We just cannot predict everything that will happen, and that is the absolute truth of the world.

"The third kind of jerks… are accidental jerks."

This time, her eyes softened and there was a hint of pity in them.

"These people end up causing trouble accidentally– be it trouble for the one speaking, or trouble for the rest of the conference."

Grandmother once told us how because of one old person's desperate need for a certain kind of alcohol, the entire conference had to be paused for an entire day.

The headmaster and the other organisers ran out of that certain drink even though they knew that certain person cannot handle the pressure of the conference without that certain drink.

'Headmaster himself had to pause things and go get that thing for them– it wasn't intentional, and I don't know if this is the kind of person mom is talking about, but this example fits pretty well in this situation.'

She looked at us, and shook her head with a sigh.

"I just hate it when people like them pop up. I just… want to kill them so that we can move forward."

Out of nowhere, anger appeared in her eyes.

Wait, no. It was better to say she was suddenly enraged now.

And that too without any reasons.

"I'll pray you don't face those people this time around, but if it is inevitable… don't hesitate to ask the headmaster to just exclude that person from the conference.

He might listen to you given the gravity of your topic."

Getting excluded from the conference after coming all the way there would be the most disrespectful thing for someone. So she understood the situation better than the others.

But, if she was still suggesting something like that with that kind of anger… then it must mean she was serious about this.

That there really might be instances that could even get on her nerves…
