Kiss Me Not

Chapter 35 - Won’t Stop Being Vocal

Chapter 35 - Won’t Stop Being Vocal

There were too many dots to connect but Brione was not sure if she was connecting them all properly. She needed to call her brother immediately and find out the name of the island. Her brother had mentioned it to her earlier and she could vaguely recall that it sounded like Perdu but she was not a hundred percent sure about it.

She also needed to find out more details from Cedric about the incident that happened a year ago. About wolves saving his life... Could it be connected somehow? Or was she so involved in the drama and movie plots she was acting in that she was starting to apply the same logic in real life as well?

Brione was interrupted from her reverie when she felt a gentle squeeze on her palm. She looked at the woman in front of her and smiled beautifully.

"The pleasure is mine. Please call me Olivia," said Olivia with a smile. Olivia could not believe how beautiful Brione was in person and even she, who was a woman, could not help being awestruck by Brione's beauty. Olivia too was beautiful but still, she did not know if she could compare to Brione's beauty.

'Olivia? Why is Cedric calling her Livi?' Brione could not help but notice such small details.

Will looked at Cedric, awaiting instructions, as even he could feel the tension in the air between the two women who were both undeniably striking in their own ways. He looked at Olivia and he could tell how she was masking her pain. But her eyes could never lie. She was about to cry so Will had to do something to get Olivia away from here.

"Will, please show Olivia to her room and I will join you both shortly," said Cedric. Will nodded and whispered, "Yes, Your Highness."

Will looked at Brione with a shy smile before he gestured to Olivia to precede him towards the palace.

Brione looked at Cedric and casually commented, "You too can go with them."

Cedric chuckled as he answered, "Are you dismissing me, sweetheart?"

"Well, I don't see the point of you staying here with me," Brione gasped.

"I have something to talk to you about," Cedric whispered in her ear. It sent shivers down her spine and she immediately moved out of Cedric's arms, walked to the pool chair to rest her weakening knees.

"What do you want to talk about? We can talk later if it's not important. You just arrived so why don't you get some rest first?"

"Are you not done swimming?" Cedric asked, following her to sit beside her.

'Ah this man! Can't he see I'm trying to get some space from him?' Brione complained.

"Yeah, I too will head back to my room now. Please go and attend to your guest," Brione whispered.

Cedric sighed and said, "I just wanted to tell you how much I miss you and how I long to hug and kiss you from the moment I first saw you when I arrived."

Then he stood up and leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I will wait till you allow me to do that. So for now, I won't do anything, but I won't stop being vocal about what I wanna do to you."

Brione froze as she watched Cedric leave. That Prince would be the death of her!

"Oh, Big Bro!" she whispered as she recalled her intention to call her brother. She quickly grabbed her mobile phone and dialed her brother's number.

"Yes, Brione?" Noah asked.

"Big Bro. You mentioned earlier that the ship which Gavin was on had a stopover right on an island?" Brione asked, with an erratic heartbeat as she waited for an answer.

"Yes, it was scheduled to stop at Perdu Island. The island where you are right now. What's going on Brione? I'm getting worried. Why do you need Gavin's birth details? Brione, you must tell me everything if you want a proper investigation about these matters, or else we will only have gaps and loopholes, which will only make things harder."

"Big Bro… The Prince… Have you seen what he looks like? Mitch said you have enough details about him and how safe this place is for me." Brione asked even though she knew her brother had not seen the Prince yet as he was not reacting like her and Berry or Mitch.

"No, the Prince is a very private person, and the King does not allow any full or close-up photos of the Prince to be printed. So I have only seen a side view and even that picture was not very clear." Noah answered with a creased forehead.

"What is it? For goodness sake Brione! Do you plan to give me a heart attack? Do I need to pull you out from there?" Noah was becoming anxious. He could feel something was wrong and he was really worried for his sister.

He had approved the project thinking his sister could enjoy a leisurely holiday and relax her thoughts since the island looked so magnificent in the videos he had seen. But what the hell was going on that he was now feeling concerned after hearing Brione's voice and questions.

"The Prince… Big Bro… He looks exactly like Gavin." Brione whispered after confirming that no staff was close enough to overhear her conversation. She was trembling unconsciously since she heard her brother confirm that the island was indeed Perdu Island.

"What?!" Noah burst. Brione recalled that she had managed a photo with Cedric when they were in the forest and she said, "I know this is too much to process right now but I will send you a proof Big Bro. Please treat this confidentially. I will send you a photo and don't bug Berry nor Mitch about it because those two… no not only them but also all the staff I'm with have signed a non-disclosure agreement about this when the Prince found out about Gavin."

The call had ended but Brione was still spacing out, looking only in a particular direction. The information convinced her that Cedric was indeed Gavin! But what really happened at that time? Surely the real Prince must look exactly like Gavin. If the Prince she was with now was Gavin then where was the real Prince? What really happened?

Brione hurriedly stood up to return to her room. She must talk to Mitch and Berry about it. She did not want to act recklessly so she needed their opinion on how to proceed further and find out more from Cedric.
