Chapter 146: Who is MC?
Chapter 146: Who is MC?
[Author's Note: I am sorry guys previously it didn't work due to my words so I am asking here:
Hello, everyone!
I'd like to ask a few things:
First, is the story's pace slow or fast?
Second, should I add R18 chapters?..... Actually, I only wanted to include some teasing, something more intimate rather than the main dish, because I thought that might disrupt the flow of the chapters and the story. So, I'm wondering if I should add R18 content or not.
Since it's a seductive novel, you might expect a lot of seduction and teasing, which is why I'm trying to avoid including R18 scenes.
However, it's up to you guys, so I'd like your input on this.
Lastly, I'd like to know what you dislike in the novel aside from Aether's suffering.
Please feel free to share any feedback. And give me a review guys... If possible!]
______________
"So, you see, this is what a magic circle is all about. Once you elevate your level of intelligence, you'll unlock a deeper understanding of how this magic circle operates, its intricate workings, and its functionalities.
To achieve this, you must enhance your intelligence through comprehension and meditation..." Selene explained with a radiant smile. Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm as she shared her knowledge with Aether, hoping he would grasp the intricacies of what she was teaching.
"I-I see," Aether nodded, trying to appear attentive. However, the current situation made it challenging for him to concentrate on her lecture.
The intense stares from the other students were unsettling, making him feel like he was under a.... danger!
Every student in the cafeteria stared at him as if he were a plague—not metaphorically, but quite literally.
This reaction was because Selene had pulled him into the exclusive Student's Cafeteria, a place where no servant should tread.
After Timmy's life-threatening situation, Selene decided to bring Aether to the Student's Cafeteria to teach him what she had learned in class. She knew Aether was eager to learn and saw this as the perfect opportunity to help him while Aqualina and her brother were away.
'Studying together... hehe,' Selene giggled inwardly, her innocent imagination transforming the academic session into a romantic one... (completely her naive imagination)!
So yeah,
Everyone in the cafeteria was a student, and no servants were allowed inside; they had their own designated dining area. So, it was no surprise that everyone was staring at Aether, who had entered the cafeteria only because of Selene's insistence..... also by Lia.
Aether looked around, feeling the weight of their gazes.
Before him sat a blonde-haired beauty.... Aurelia Scarlet, who exuded an aura of elegance and authority.
Beside him was the bluish-black-haired beauty..... Selene Frostblade, whose enchanting presence made it hard for anyone to look away.
The sight of two beauties sitting with Aether would make any student envious, leading them to wish Aether would die fast!
If it were another student, they might consider him just "so-so," but....
A servant? Really, him? The male students' eyes were filled with jealousy and fury, their silent resentment palpable.
"Ether?" Selene called out, noticing he wasn't paying attention to her explanations.
"Y-Yeah," Aether responded, snapping back to reality. He looked at Selene and nodded earnestly. Selene smiled warmly and continued teaching him everything she had learned in class.
Lia, observing the interaction, felt a pang of something she couldn't quite identify. She stared at Aether, who hadn't acknowledged her presence, 'Tsk, where is that annoying attitude now?' she wondered. Seeing Selene and Aether's closeness stirred an unfamiliar emotion within her.
"Sel?" Lia called out to Selene, breaking the momentary silence.
"Yes?" Selene lifted her head, her smile Lia had never seen before... Too Lovely!
'Ba-dump' ?#?#?%???!?!??+
Even Lia's heart skipped a beat, her eyes widening in surprise. 'W-Why is she so beautiful?' she thought, momentarily lost in Selene's charm. Gathering her thoughts, she asked, "What are you doing?"
"Hmm... of course, I am teaching him. Is something wrong?" Selene replied, her tone genuinely curious.
Lia blinked, trying to make sense of the situation. She had believed Selene didn't care much for Aether before, so why the sudden change? Was she missing something?... Was something wrong with her memories?
"Anyhow, why are you even with us?" Selene asked with a slight frown. She had hoped for some alone time with Aether, but Lia's unexpected presence had thrown a wrench in her plans. Nevertheless, without Lia's support, who ranked second in the test, the guards might not have allowed Aether to enter the cafeteria.
Lia's lips twitched in response. "I thought we could go outside to buy some things," she said, trying to sound nonchalant.
Hearing that, Selene's eyes lit up with excitement, much like a child's. She turned to Aether and said, "Let's go on a date, darl- ahem, Ether," she quickly corrected herself, her cheeks turning a shade of pink.
However,
'She was about to say 'Darling,' right?' Both Aether and Lia thought in unison.
Selene noticed Aether's curious gaze and felt her cheeks heat up. Just as she was about to say something to defuse the situation, a haughty voice interrupted them...
"Date? With a servant? Why bother?"
A tall boy with a handsome face sneered, making his presence known.
"Ugh, ugly!" Selene immediately retorted, her face contorting with disgust.
The tall boy nearly stumbled at her blunt remark.
Lia almost burst into laughter, knowing Selene's unfiltered nature.
Simply put, Selene: She wasn't one to sugarcoat her words or pander to anyone's ego. Most of all, Selene's straightforwardness and shy side made her endearing.
The tall boy with an ugly face (according to Selene), stood before them and glared at Selene, "My name is John, from the noble house of..." he began to boast about his family's prestigious lineage, his tone dripping with arrogance.
'The cliché...' Aether mused, feeling like this moment belonged in one of those novels where a mob character attempts to flirt with the protagonist's love interest in front of them.
The protagonist, inevitably angered by the audacity of the interloper, rises to the occasion, asserting his dominance and protecting what's his. It was a trope as old as time, but witnessing it unfold in real life felt surreal to Aether.
"Why be with a servant? I am sure I could date not one but two beautiful women like you," John continued, his gaze shifting between Selene and Lia, who were both visibly irritated and angry.
Aether shook his head, dismayed. 'So I'm the MC now...' Aether's lips curled into a small smile at the absurdity of the situation.
"Hehe..." An uncanny laugh escaped his lips, causing John to flinch and glare at him even more intensely.
John, unable to tolerate the perceived insolence, grabbed Aether's collar, "Do you think this is funny, you mere servant?" he snarled, his grip tightening.
'Here it comes... hehe,' Aether thought, preparing to defend himself. He attempted to crush John's hand but was interrupted.
"YOU BASTARD!! DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM WITH YOUR FILTHY HANDS!!" Selene screamed, her voice echoing through the cafeteria.
"SLAM!!"
John's head was slammed onto the table with such force that it shattered into pieces, leaving everyone in shock.
"...." Aether blinked, barely registering what had just transpired. Selene and Lia quickly pulled him away from the scene.
'I-I am not the MC here?' Aether thought, horrified. He looked at Selene, who simply smiled and said, "I will protect you~"
"..... Yeah... She is the true MC," Aether mumbled under his breath, awestruck by Selene's strength and... beauty.
"...." Lia stared at Selene's hand, which was firmly holding Aether's, her mind racing with questions.
'Is she the one?' Lia wondered, her frown deepening as she tried to understand the changing dynamics.
