Chapter 194 Guild War Preparation 2

Chapter 194 Guild War Preparation 2

Meanwhile, on the side of the Exalted guild…

“The announcement of our first opponent is out,” said Natalie, a rogue assassin player in the Closed Beta Test who had decided to join the Exalted Guild.

“Have you managed to contact Dimitri yet?” Ace was seen standing in front of a room they used as a gathering room at the guild base. Out of their current 50 guild members, all of them were present except for one person.

Dimitri. Ace was still trying to connect with him since half an hour ago, but Dimitri didn’t give an answer. No one knew where Dimitri was, even though the man was actually online.

“He’s been missing a lot lately. I didn’t expect that he would also be leaving on such an important day for our guild,” sought Alaric in a disappointed tone. From the way he spoke, he had already guessed that this would happen.

“Maybe he is on his way.” Niklaus, the knight, still tried to be positive thinking. He sat quietly on the sofa near Liberty, who was more interested in checking the marketplace and updating the new clothes they were selling right now, than thinking about the upcoming guild war..

“Let Natalie fill his place. He could have come after.” Alaric felt that it was pointless to wait for Dimitri who had no news.

“Just, where did Dimitri go? Was he involved with something misleading? He’s never ignored me like this before.”

Ace squeezed his scabbard, which was lying on the stone table in front of him, in annoyance. However, his mind was also clouded with anxiety. After all, Dimitri was his closest friend. He had known Dimitri since elementary school, long before he knew Alaric and Niklaus. And Dimitri also wanted to join him in playing the Last Shelter Online just because he wanted to help Ace, his best friend. But now, where did he go?

“Did any of you run into him outside the base?” Ace shifted his gaze to his guild members, who were sitting on the comfortable sofa leisurely. They were preparing weapons and shields for the upcoming war. Actually, they couldn’t wait to compete to kill the most players because most of them were crazy about big damage.

Almost none of them paid any attention to Ace, ignoring him as if he wasn’t the leader of the guild.

“How long are we going to wait for that ignorant brat? We must immediately arrange the strategies. Haven’t you checked who our opponent is, huh?” a middle-aged man wearing full silver armor, complete with a spear and shield, shouted from the other end of the room. His deep voice boomed in the room.

“Ace, he is right. We have to arrange the strategies. Our opponent is Everlasting, they are ranked first according to current guild fame. And in case you forgot, I’ll let you know. That NightFall, who declared himself as WynterRain’s younger brother, was also there. He’s the leader.” Niklaus explained in a whisper to Ace.

The information he had just received from his calmest friend made Ace’s pupils widen. Of course, he remembered who the guild leader of Everlasting was, and of course, he also knew that the guild was ranked first based on guild fame on the server. Hearing this made Ace feel that he really needed Dimitri even more right now.

“Shut up, Niklaus. Hiro is Yuujin’s younger brother. Don’t act like you know him. You don’t know anything at all.” Liberty suddenly rose to her feet and looked at Niklaus in annoyance before walking over to her brother.

“So, is it true that our opponent is Hiro’s guild, Brother?” The girl showed a different reaction from the others. Instead of feeling worry, both of Liberty’s eyes widened with happiness. A distinct smile formed on her fresh looking face.

“Just who the hell is Hiro?” Alaric whispered to Niklaus, and Niklaus just shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t know who Hiro was that Liberty was talking about. But, it looks like Ace knew, although Liberty had never told him.

“Right, we’re going to fight your boyfriend’s guild. But, we will win. You know your job, don’t you, Libe?” Ace whispered right in his sister’s ear, who immediately pouted his lips in annoyance.

“I know. But, if it’s Hiro, I won’t hurt him. No more.” Liberty sat back down on the sofa. Her face showed the sign of rebellion. From the beginning, she was not interested in participating in the event, but her brother forced her to join in. Liberty looked at Niklaus in annoyance as if she tried taking her anger out on him.

“All right, this is a bit of bad news. I didn’t expect that we would face Everlasting in the first game. However, I firmly believe that in terms of overall power, our combined strength will be much stronger than Everlasting,” Ace said confidently. And all the Exalted members seemed to nod in agreement. They didn’t really care about anything that threatened them.

“Can I just kill everyone and play?” asked a young blond male player who looked like a gentleman, but was playing with the golden blade of a dagger in his hand, slicing his finger until it bled like a psychopath.

“Uhmmm, yes, Master Jason.” Ace’s voice suddenly became more polite.

“Good. If I win, I’ll donate more money to your hospital and your company, Mr. Young Johnson.” he replied while slicing back his finger which had healed because he used the special fast regeneration buff like a vampire.

Ace squeezed the scabbard back on his desk quietly. He was actually tired of managing the elite players who were the members of his father’s project sponsors. They were very difficult to control and play like real gamers. Besides using expensive items that could be said as a ‘cheat’, their behaviour was also very annoying.

However, Ace had no other choice but to be patient.

Ace raised his face again and forced a smile. Before he could open his mouth once again, the main door of the room suddenly burst open and a black shadow shot in quickly. It stopped right in front of Ace.

“Dimitri, you’re late,” Ace said. He was surprised by the arrival of Dimitri, who was always excessive. However, he was relieved that his best friend had finally arrived in a condition that looked fine.

“I’m sorry, my friend. I almost forgot what day it is today.” Dimitri walked to Ace’s side and put his arm around his shoulder.

Ace arched an eyebrow in surprise. It was unusual for Dimitri to forget the events that could make him kill many players because it was his favourite every time he played a game. He even acted as if he hadn’t received any calls from Ace, Alaric, or Niklaus, who still seemed annoyed with Dimitri’s tardiness.

“I’ve checked who our opponents are, and I know the easiest way to win,” Dimitri muttered in a low voice.

“We can use your sister, Liberty,” he added with a hideous grin on his face.
