Chapter 226 Punishment 2
Chapter 226 Punishment 2
When Hiro took Ace’s place to interrogate Dimitri, Dimitri looked at him with hatred. “I will never open my mouth to tell you a single piece of information,” Dimitri said with a sneer. Hiro looked at him calmly. There was no need to use the Blood-Eater Vampire to punish him. He just took out the Batarang and played it in his hand like he was playing a fidget spinner.
“Well, it’s up to you. But let me tell you, I know the area in the body which is very sensitive in receiving pain. I just hope you don’t get killed because I’m after it,” Hiro explained in a calm voice, but his gaze was really intimidating. Dimitri swallowed hard. He knew that Hiro had a way he never imagined, and it was proven from the two times he experienced as the opponent of the man in the event.
“Same question, but let me cut it short. What is your motive for working with them?”
Dimitri really stood firm with his determination. He purposely curled his lips inward to indicate that he would not say anything for Hiro to hear.
Hiro took a deep breath. He hoped that this interrogation would end quickly. However, it seemed he had no other choice, but to show that his threat was not just mere words.
Hiro held Batarang like he was holding a kitchen knife when he wanted to cook. He then stuck the sharp tip of Batarang to Dimitri’s gut and pushed it so fast that the blood oozed out.
“Arghhhh!” Dimitri screamed, then vomited blood from his mouth. It almost burst into Hiro’s body if only Hiro didn’t jump back immediately. Hiro stabbed at the most painful point and the effect was like being hit so hard in that part. Then, Dimitri vomited blood profusely.
“You! I will never forgive you!”
Hiro felt a little relieved that Dimitri didn’t get killed by the pain he just gave him. Even though Dimitri’s HP bar had turned red due to Hiro’s sudden action. The man nearly met the grim reaper. Yet he still held on, and Ace tapped the iron again to bring out the second panel.
[HP has been recovered]
Even for the feature to restore the HP of the person being interrogated, Ace could use the iron board. Hiro was amazed. If it was possible, he also wanted to make a special room like this in his guild base, but it looked like they didn’t sell it on the Marketplace.
“Do you want to answer my question or remain silent?” asked Hiro once again.
“I can endure it. I will never tell you.”
Hiro smiled faintly. He already expected the answer that came out of Dimitri’s mouth would be the same. However, he had already had an idea to get him to talk.
“Well, then. Let me try this advanced machine.” Hiro touched the pain sensor bar on the transparent panel and raised its level to 200%. Dimitri glared at him. It was obvious he was terrified. However, with trembling lips he still refused. “Nice try. But you know what? I’ll never tell you.”
Hiro arched an eyebrow. His index finger was still on the bar and he moved his finger again, increasing the pain to a maximum of 300%.
“You will kill him at that level,” Ace said, suddenly feeling that Hiro’s decision had gone too far. However, Hiro knew what was in his head would work to make Dimitri speak.
“This is just a game. Isn’t that right, Dimitri?”
Dimitri bit his lip out of reflex, and with a 3 times increase in pain, it managed to create a long tear in his own lip that instantly bled profusely.
“Arghhh.”
“Oops. I haven’t done anything, friend.” Hiro raised his hand.
Dimitri looked at him hatefully. He regretted his own actions because it really hurt, and he had never felt such pain before.
“You won’t do it. Your name will turn red, and all the people who have hated you all this time will be scrambling to kill you.” Dimitri felt very confident with his words. He even threatened Hiro.
“Is that true? Ah, I have no problem with my name turning red. If I only killed one player, it would probably only last a week. Then, it will return to normal again. And people who hate me? I’m not sure if they dare to challenge me with my battle rating, which is displayed at the highest rank right now.”
Hiro raised his Batarang after speaking like that and played with it like before. Then, he pointed the weapon at Dimitri’s body again. Dimitri looked terrified, his pupils quivering.
“Ok! Ok! I’ll do it. I’ll answer it. Just please move it away from my sensitive body! It scared the hell out of me!”
Hiro nodded. His plan to threaten Dimitri was successful.
“Just like with the others. The reason they join the team you call terrorists is the same as mine. We, we just want to uncover the truth behind Yamaguchi Yuujin’s death. That’s all! I didn’t even mean to bring down your father, man.” Dimitri spoke so fast that his saliva was flying all over the place. He didn’t dare to look both Hiro and Ace’s eyes. His eyes stared at the floor of the room. And if he could move his body, Dimitri might have knelt in front of the two of them.
“Then, why did you do it?” Ace asked. His voice had turned soft. As his best friend, he could tell that Dimitri was telling the truth right now.
“This is embarrassing, but I like him a lot. Yamaguchi Yuujin, he always knows what ordinary gamers like me don’t. I really admire him. I idolize him. Then, suddenly, he just died by reason of suicide? The person whose life always motivates others to solve hidden paths in various kinds of games, ends his life by committing suicide? I really can’t accept it.” Dimitri suddenly burst into tears. The tears came out profusely from his eyes and mixed with the blood on his face. His body looked shaken after saying that confession.
A very unexpected confession and really managed to touch Hiro’s heart. One of his brother’s fans was talking directly to him about his love for Yuujin, which might be greater than Hiro’s love for his brother even though the man was only a fan whose name Yuujin might not remember.
“So, when I heard that people like me were getting together to form a community that wanted to reveal all the secrets behind Yamaguchi Yuujin’s death and expose the real perpetrator, I joined in without thinking.” Dimitri looked at Ace with teary eyes right now.
“I really didn’t know it would have anything to do with Uncle Jeff. I am really sorry, Ace. I really didn’t mean to betray you. You are the best friend I have ever had. But all the work they gave me almost drove me crazy. I really don’t know what to do. I’m really sorry.”
Ace clenched his fists. His jaws hardened. Even though he already knew about the news out there involving his father with Yuujin’s death, which was cleared a few weeks ago, he still fully believed in his father that his father was a pure person.
“All right, if that’s the case. It looks like you’ll be of great use to me and to Ace now,” said Hiro calmly. His sentence made Ace and Dimitri look at him questioningly.
“I believe that whatever Yuujin did with his fans might be something bad. If they only wanted to catch the perpetrator, they should have done it long ago. But I’m sure, from what Yuujin is currently working on… he’s preparing something much bigger than just wanting to throw someone to jail.”
